“Juncal Mexican Grill & Bar in Cumberland, RI, is truly a hidden gem!! Everything was homemade and delicious!! The “hot sauce” is a must! The drinks were refreshing and mixed just right. The guava moscow mule is a must try! The service was amazing too. Everyone was so friendly and attentive—they really made us feel at home. The warm churros are served with hot fudge and caramel… absolutely delicious. If you’re craving authentic Mexican food, great drinks, and a relaxed, welcoming vibe, definitely give Juncal a try!“

“So, last night I needed to have a business meeting with a business partner that wanted to stay out of downtown after working all day in the city. We chose Hangry Kitchen, just 6 minutes from downtown. So much that I could say about the meal. But I will summarize it. I asked if I could get a side of tomato juice for my beer. (Yeah beer and tomato juice is amazing). They did not have any canned or bottled tomato juice. THEY JUICED SOME TOMATOS! The rest of the meal was just as memorable. Check them out (in between food truck visits)!“

“First off, let’s start with the space. I’m visiting from a big cityyy so my expectations can be a little high — but this place is absolutely breathtaking. The vibe is cozy, upscale, and still relaxed enough to just kick back and enjoy. It feels refreshing and thoughtfully designed without trying too hard.

Bianca, the bartender who helped me out, was incredible. She has such a well-crafted, extensive specialty knowledge and was amazing at guiding me through the menu when my indecisiveness kicked in (which happens often). She’s relatable, friendly, a little edgy in the best way, and the space felt very queer-friendly and welcoming because of that energy. I’m already looking forward to coming back and chatting it up with B again.

Only small con: the payment process. It would be a nice upgrade to have handheld devices so guests don’t have to give up their phones to close out. Small detail, but it would elevate the experience even more.

“We have been to Bandidos a LOT and we have always had an amazing experience. The food is wonderful, the drinks are delicious and the staff is so warm and friendly. I have yet to order the same thing twice, and everything has been delicious! We just used them as a caterer for an event and it was flawless, the portions were plentiful and everything was SO GOOD! “Another day, another chance for more tacos with the RI Food Fight's TacoMania. This time we started with Diego's. As it was a Saturday, no tables were available from reservations but we were able to grab a seat at the bar. The space is open, dark. A blend of Mexican homage and industrial brick. An open kitchen gives you the chance to watch your meal be prepared in full view. Our bartender, Greer was super friendly and balanced attentiveness. She is detail oriented and was very accommodating. She quickly took care of our drinks and got our food order in ASAP. They offered a limited menu for TacoMania and I chose the carne option. It came out in a crunchy blue corn tortilla. After a squeeze of lime, I dug in. The crunch was everything you wanted it to be and more. The beef with queso fundido made this a slight messy but overall delicious taco. We got the cornbread souffle to share and it was outstanding. The souffle itself was savory and very corn forward, as opposed to the sweeter cornbread you see in the south. They add a touch of something sweet to balance it out. My friend had the shrimp chimichirri tacos and they said they were a 10/10. So glad to find another tasty spot in the TacoMania trail!“

I was torn between the Lobster Benedict and the Crab Cakes Benedict, so the server asked the kitchen to give my one of each🤗🤗🤗... she is definitely my SHE-RO! I chose cinnamon apples as my side. My mom had Juevos Rancheros, and my dad had Loaded Hash Browns, and the rest of my and my mom's food (he's very smart).“
