I first visited this place when it was called Campus Pizza located next to a convenience store named “express mart” back in 1992. Pops bought the place out from the previous owner(s) and then renamed to Papa Sam’s before renovating, moving into the building next door turning it into a full pizza joint.

Papa Sam's Pizza is a neighborhood gem offering consistently delicious and affordable pizza. The dough is praised for its perfect balance of fluffiness, chewiness, and crunchiness, and the toppings are generous. Customers highlight the great value and excellent customer service from this family-owned business. New visitors to East Providence have discovered this spot and express that they will not buy pizza from anywhere else due to its delicious food, especially the honey sauce. While some suggest the dining room layout could be spruced up to be more family-friendly, the area is noted to be large and spotless, easily accommodating a good number of guests. The staff are helpful and attentive, quickly serving small orders like sandwiches and fries, which are also delicious. Overall, Papa Sam's Pizza is highly recommended for its high-quality, budget-friendly fare and welcoming atmosphere.
