Particular favorites (that never disappoint): Shrimp Mozambique, Baked Haddock, Baked Stuffed Shrimp, Baked Seafood Trio, and any of the steaks. The Fish & Chips is good, but not like Irish pub good; The Chicken Parm on the other hand coulda come outta a place with Chianti bottles hanging from the ceiling.“

“Axe bar is a very fun and very well ran establishment. The atmosphere is amazing and the trainers are great at what they do. I really liked that safety was at the forefront during training on how to throw an axe.Kevin is fantastic at what he does and very eccentric.10/10 recommend.“

“Officially one of my new favorite restaurants in providence! When you walk in, there's dim lighting which I particularly enjoyed especially because it made the providence sign stand out. Our waitress was kind and very attentive from the minute we were seated. Now the food was divine, everything was perfect. We ordered the calamari and each ordered the short rib with gnocchi. Every ingredient in that dish complimented each other so well, it was such a lovely culinary experience. My friend also ordered the "only fans" drink which she enjoyed. Will definitely return and can't wait to introduce more family and friends to this restaurant.“

“We were at Halligans for a farewell party for a company employee who was retiring after 20-30 years with their company.... the atmosphere was very comfortable, the party room size totally fit the retirement event perfectly.... there were 20+ there for the Retirement party.....The Barkeep was incredible in keeping things rolling....and the Kitchen Crew put together a most wonderful and tasteful spread of dining choices!!! .....and while this was my 1st experience there... “We had our baby shower here yesterday. People from 6 yrs old to 60 had a great time. The old time duckpin bowling was a lot of fun. “I visited here for the first time while visiting my great aunt. She brought me here, saying that this is one of her favorite restaurants in the area. She's been coming for over 10 years! I can definitely see why she's such a loyal customer.To start, we shared a bowl of their Seafood Chowder. I had to try it after seeing that it had won awards in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2016. It was hands down the best chowder I've ever had. The broth was incredibly creamy, but not too heavy, with a perfect balance of savory flavors.For my main course, I ordered the Prime Rib Wrap. The prime rib was piled high, juicy, and had just the right amount of spice. It was paired with melted Swiss cheese, peppercorn mayo all wrapped in a warm, crispy tortilla dusted with Cajun seasoning. The combination of textures and flavors was absolutely delicious.My great aunt opted for her usual, the Baked Scrod, and as always, she raved about it. “The location at 10 Sims ave is huge. This is much bigger than the location on Ives street. The food is always excellent and the staff are super friendly. On Saturdays a farmer market is open at the Farm Fresh HUB. You can't go wrong with the fried fish taco or the chicken taco. My husband loves all of the burrito options.“
