“Went with my son last week for the first time and had the muscles and chicken wings, both of which were incredible. We brought home the mac and cheese, dumplings and seasonal bread pudding. Everything was fantastic. we agreed it is the best restaurant around. I went again tonight with my husband. We had the friend oyster appetizer special and filet, both of which were incredible. Debbie was our waitress, and she was absolutely fantastic. So friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!“

“Today we made a pilgrimage to Basil Yu’s restaurant, Yagi Noodles. My son happened to see that Basil had become a successful restaurateur while he was watching one of Guy Fieri’s shows. We had become acquainted with Basil when we were all involved with a Boy Scout Troop in Manchester NH. We were disappointed to discover that Basil wasn’t at the restaurant, however we got over it when we found out it was due to a commitment to a fundraiser for the James Beard Foundation. Basil, You weren’t there, but your food is delicious. You get the Merit Badge! You weren’t there, but your staff is spectacular! You get the Merit Badge! We wish you continued success! “Had to try this establishment as I’ve heard great things. Let it be known, there oven is gas and I do prefer wood fired, however the dough was good enough to almost make up for it. Surprisingly, it appears to be a Neopolitan pizza, however the pizza had a nice crisp to the crust, not huge, just enough to not make it a soft typical Neopolitan style pizza. So credit to them for being different and the crust was also soft and light, very nice combination. Btw, we opted for a simple Margherita, which is a baseline for judging any Neopolitan style pizza. All in all, we would definitely go back.“

“Had a great dinner to a celebrate someone’s birthday and someone else’s new job. The food was excellent and I can’t wait to come back. The Eastern Calamari was a highlight; the sauce it was served in had a umami-sweet flavor that was well-suited to the crispy calamari. For entrees, the chicken and waffle and the short rib were the stars. The chicken parmesan sandwich, spicy chicken and pork belly ramen, and Rhody fish and chips were all also very good. There was a ton of fish and chips coming out of the kitchen and headed toward other tables, so that seems to be a popular choice. For dessert, we tried the molten lava cake, farm cobbler, and gelato. There was variation in which dessert was the favorite, but everyone was impressed with the gelato. Even though gelato may not be most folks’ top choice for dessert when there are cakes and other options on the menu, it had a really unique (more solid) texture and the taste was really excellent. I highly recommend this spot!“

As I understand it, Bravo is under new management by Ryan and Ryan and they are very involved, attentive and eager to please. Connected to Theater by the Sea, we went to dinner before all four shows this season and it was wonderful each time! The only negative thing I can say is that they are only open when the Theater is open… but I hear they are working on that!!!! A great find!“

“Wow, a top New York City type restaurant in Newport. Forget the losers comments from years ago. Dress like you’re going first class. Atmosphere here is awesome…2nd floor is special. Drinks are reasonable and delicious. Our server PATRICK WAS AMAZING. They explain specials and drinks. Most attentive and all foods were perfectly presented. Wanna another drink, ask and within 2 minutes it’s there. We had wild mushrooms and salmon that were incredible as appetizers. Caesar salad was fresh and lettuce crisp. Scallops special had my wife shaking her head. My seafood linguine was overflowing with fresh seafood. The dessert of “Snowball from Hell” can be shared. Our 54th anniversary was unreal. Food was delicious, ambience was perfect, and Natasha was one of the best servers we have ever had at any restaurant (genuinely...super knowledgeable of all the dishes, great personality). They also have a bar on the deck which was perfect for after dinner drinks. Whole evening was great but especially want to thank Natasha for a phenomenal experience.“
