“One of THE BEST Italian restaurants I've ever been to. It's a very intimate setting and the food is delicious! I had the Manicotti al pomadoro and my boyfriend had some farfalle cream dish, which was fantastic as well. We had tiramisu for dessert, and I'll just say we would've ordered 3 if we could eat it all. This is a must try spot!“

“Absolutely delicious!! My new favorite restaurant. The service was excellent. The bartender was friendly and made delicious cocktails- the pear martini was especially delicious. I had the duck ramen and my husband had the steak. Everything was outstanding. I highly recommend!!“

“The dinner here was excellent, definitely a little on the pricey side but well worth it for the quality dinners we received. We loved the oysters, and our tuna/filet mignon was delicious. Dessert and the fries were also excellent. It was really nice having a seat where we could see the wharf, added to the experience. This is priced like a high-end steak house and does not disappoint. We would definitely recommend it.“

“Really our meal when we visited during our stay in Newport. Nice greeting and seated quickly, waitress could advise on menu and answer some questions we had. We ordered Arancini as a starter to share and they were large in size and great tasting plenty to share between two people. For mains we had spaghetti and meatball which has one massive meatball which gives it quite a solid consistency but it did have a good taste. The other meal was the Milanese which agin was large in size and good tasting and all food was freshly prepared. We had a bottle of wine to share which at $42 has the usual markup but I guess we expect this.“

“Great neighborhood bar with good food. Got the aviator cocktail, which was very good. The bartender was friendly and welcoming. They didn't have a lot of cocktail options. Food menu was mainly subs and sandwich melts. I got an Italian grinder which was quite good too. Overall good experience.“
“I'm a huge fan of bookstores. Real bookstores, with collections that have been thoughtfully built from the many thousands of available titles narrowed down to what the owners believe is worth putting on their shelves because they want us to buy them. Curiosity & Co isn't a big box store, and doesn't actually devote all of its floor space to shelving. Still, I've never failed to find a title (or 10) that's new to me but that I'd like to read. The shop has bestsellers, newly published works, and classics along with an inviting children's space. Free - beautiful - bookmarks are by each register: take one, or more, since they have lovely images of Aquidneck Island on them! There's also a wine bar, an upstairs space for readings (or book clubs, wine tastings, or private parties), and a beautiful patio area that also serves as a restaurant (for brunch and at other times).I've always felt welcome here, and have been comfortable picking up a book, buying a glass of wine and a bowl of salty nuts, and walking out to the patio. I can read a chapter or two in peace, deciding if it's the one I'm bringing home. This is what a bookstore is supposed to be like.“

“1st visit.Shared a marguerita pizza and a salad. The pizza was burned.( Crust blackened on top and underneath)The burata salad was delicious but very small for 18.00. It had plenty of cheese..but definitely needed more of the veggies. It was the size of a side salad. The gelato was good . They might need to rely on tourists to succeed. Pricey for small portions. Fillinis pizza is superior.Wheelchair accessibility: Accessable“

“We sat at the bar for dinner and drinks. The bar staff is always top notch and very friendly. Unfortunately items on the menu haven't changed in a very long time. They do have an almost half price appetizer menu until 6PM. Check out their web site for a list of daily specials. If you haven't tried Meritage yet I think you need to give it a try.“

“Great choices for pescatarians. The bouillabaisse with lobster was incredibly tasty and the crab cakes unctuous. Very good service, fast and attentive. Nice decor and ambience, a bit on the noisy end but it is a popular place so it's somewhat to be expected.“

“Great atmosphere and excellent services! The bartender made great drink suggestions and Every drink we ordered was stellar. They have a couple of vegan options and we loved them all. We ordered a second round of everything the first time we went.Vegetarian options: The menu clearly labels both vegan and vegetarian options. We had the hummus plate, roasted eggplant and shishito peppers and they were all amazing.“

“This meal was refreshing to our palate and digestive system from eating heavy this whole trip. We are glad we stumbled onto this establishment. We ordered the hummus plate with veggies and my first time eating watermelon radish, now probably is my favorite veggie. Also my first time eating a wedge salad with a knife but worth it to have the best salad in a lifetime. Oh just to balance it all with a side of fries as I compared to Wingstop (sometimes not hot/fresh) cause that’s my standard of fresh hot good fires. Also not pictured is the Narragansett beer, is easily my favorite beer of all time due to being smooth that isn’t a lite beer, has the fullness of a beer and don’t taste the hopines of it.The service was 3.5 stars because we were the only ones when we placed our order and it took a minute to get our veggie plate…. but after that the other two came in a timely fashion. Service provided was welcoming the moment we walked in. Ambiance we had to imagine cause we were the only two until we had to leave but we imagined the full swing of this place of how lively it can be.**They have good plenty of gluten free options!“

“This is a wonderful local neighborhood restaurant. The food is well prepared and the owner is very attentive. There is a nice cozy feel to the place and it's located in a beautiful seaport village. The menu may be somewhat limited compared to the big places but what they do offer is done well. If you want a nice quite romantic evening out Tate's is the place to go. You won't be disappointed.Dr. D.“
