“So, last night I needed to have a business meeting with a business partner that wanted to stay out of downtown after working all day in the city. We chose Hangry Kitchen, just 6 minutes from downtown. So much that I could say about the meal. But I will summarize it. I asked if I could get a side of tomato juice for my beer. (Yeah beer and tomato juice is amazing). They did not have any canned or bottled tomato juice. THEY JUICED SOME TOMATOS! The rest of the meal was just as memorable. Check them out (in between food truck visits)!“

“What a fun spot! They have so many great liquors to try and games to play if you want to hang with friends. We didn’t get to try any cocktails but the menu looked great. We took a bottle of the foragers gin and walnut espresso home with us as well as a set of the cute RI shot glasses. Definitely stop by if you are a fan of unique spirits!“

“Was there last night with family! Had a great time, yummy food & delicious drinks😉 I had two spicy margaritas 🥵with just the right amount of heat. The brisket melt with the homemade fries that I have to say were the best 🥰. The slaw on the melt was very tasty too😋 All in all the food was very good. Everyone at the table enjoyed what they had!! And the wait staff is wonderful too. They were all so pleasant!“

“Do not live here if you care about your car. On two separate occasions my car was vandalized and my roommates car was stolen from the off street parking. The landlords have done nothing to improve the security.“

“This little restaurant, raw bar, bar bar is not messing around. They handle their shellfish perfectly, cold, crazy fresh, and masterfully shucked. I recommend just a dash of the mignonette to just highlight the delicious flavors of the posters. The bartender told me the raw scallops have never left the menu so I ordered them. I can see why they're almost a signature of GH. The bok choy pancake is really good but strangely filling. Plenty for 2.

The cocktails are well mixed.

“We tried Needle & Thread during Providence Restaurant Week and it was fabulous. Drinks were amazing and the short ribs were so delicious. The interior is gorgeous and adds to the speakeasy vibe. We will definitely visit again!“

“First time as was in town from Newport to see Little Jagged Pill at PPAC. Bartender (Tim?) was excellent friendly, knowledgeable on menu and made great handcrafted drinks. Manager (she moved here from NYC) was also excellent. I ordered the pork loin special, one of my friends ordered to porchetta over grits (I was a bit jealous as it was amazing. Overall a great experience.“

“Went to the Foxes Hill neighborhood in Providence to try out a Morroccan spot, but it ended up being closed. Luckily, right around the corner was Aguardente, which is a Guatamalen & Portuguese tapas restaurant. Love the interior decorations and warm welcoming vibe. We started with quejo de cabra, rellenitos, & the minha caiparinha. Then we had the batatas fritas, empanadas de pollos, polvo grelhado, & almondegas. Everything from the service to all of the dishes being seasoned perfectly and tasted amazing.“

“Cheryl and I dined with friends last night at Casa Azul Taqueria at 840 Allens Avenue in Providence. Although the place is small, with just three tables and primarily offering takeout, the food is fantastic, featuring great vegan options. We're definitely going back!“

It almost feels like your not even in Providence anymore.Started off with some apps, i got the Spicy Shrimp( the sauce on the shrimp was very very good!) and the calamari. I personally dipped my calamari in the spicy shrimp sauce but thats a conversation for a different day.Unfortunately i didn’t get to have my drink in a flamingo or a lil piggy but thats ok. The drinks were very good!The Chicken Milanese was a bit too thin (my opinion) but it was good.The steak was cooked to perfection, the mushroom risotto was very very good too. Im definitely getting the tomahawk next time i come.“

“All I can say is wow! What an amazing dinner we had tonight! We have been craving really good authentic Mexican food since moving from Arizona and we found it! The menu wasn’t too daunting and have a variety to choose from. The Enchiladas de Mole was very tasty. A little spicy but also had a sweet taste. The portions were generous and the prices were extremely reasonable. 4 dinners with 6 alcoholic drinks, one appetizer and one dessert under $170. Our waitress and I am sorry I can’t remember her name was very friendly and helpful even letting my husband know that they can call 911 if his meal was too spicy. It wasn’t for him but he lives for spicy. The atmosphere is very casual and cozy. I can’t wait to go back and try some more menu items.“

“Wow! If you are looking for authentic, beautifully cooked Chinese food, this is the place. We were there on Christmas… things were a little chaotic, but the food was outstanding especially the dim sum and the walnut creamy shrimp. Definitely worth the drive from wherever you are. But be sure to make a reservation!“

“Believe it or not, I'd never tried Indian food until recently. I'm usually not one for spicy stuff, but this place was so close to home, and I was feeling adventurous, so I figured, why not? And let me tell you, I was genuinely blown away by what I ordered! My girlfriend, who knows her Indian food, totally nailed the recommendation. It was this amazing chicken dish with a creamy, orange sauce, and some perfectly buttered naan on the side. I can't remember the exact name, but I sure won't forget that taste! I'm definitely going back to try more of their menu.“

“Location/decor/ambiance: the owners have tried to turn the spacious brick and beam interior of a former factory building into a ghetto-ish inner cityscape skateboard park using graffiti-style airbrush graphics, little skateboards that serve as bar chair seat backs, concrete floors painted with Providence manhole covers, etc. Visually, the effect is mixed. I “get” what the owners are trying for, but it isn’t for me an “attractive” dining decor. It looks much more like a dance club for young twenty-somethings. I quickly adjusted to the inner-city grunge decor, but what we couldn’t adjust to was the VERY loud rap/hip-hop music blaring out of some very robust speakers non-stop. Talking was difficult. Yes, I’m an older person, but I don’t begrudge anyone their musical sensibilities… provide its not full of “***** and “nigga” and roaring out at at least 90 decibels. Whatever they’re trying to be, they need to remember that they are l (at 10 am) a restaurant, not a dance club. Food & service: unexpectedly, given the above criticism, the food was outstanding, I mean really good. Caught us off guard. Just beautifully imagined and realized. Would I return? Probably not. Even the great food cant quite overcome the soundscape. Interesting place, though“

“Pause the hibachi chicken and the hibachi steak was extremely top-notch delicious definitely recommend going here and enjoying that. I felt like the steak just melted it in your mouth and the chicken left. A nice savoring lasting taste that you wouldn’t get bored of. Also, I wanted to mention their bartender their new bartender. Seth is very entertaining right on point with drinks knows what he’s doing.“

I only got pics of our appetizers as we were hungry and chowed on our mani courses. Started with a 1930 DAQ, Wawtuhmelon and a Vino Rosso Gaio - all drinks were tasty! We started with the Truffle fries and the Crispy Duck Meatballs- oh my both were great! The flavor in the Duck meatballs was amazing! The sweet chili glaze just hits it out of the park! On to dinner I ordered the Steak Frites - excellent flavor and cooked perfect! Wife ordered the Chicken Picatta - very tasty with a great lemon flavor! “First off, let’s start with the space. I’m visiting from a big cityyy so my expectations can be a little high — but this place is absolutely breathtaking. The vibe is cozy, upscale, and still relaxed enough to just kick back and enjoy. It feels refreshing and thoughtfully designed without trying too hard.

Bianca, the bartender who helped me out, was incredible. She has such a well-crafted, extensive specialty knowledge and was amazing at guiding me through the menu when my indecisiveness kicked in (which happens often). She’s relatable, friendly, a little edgy in the best way, and the space felt very queer-friendly and welcoming because of that energy. I’m already looking forward to coming back and chatting it up with B again.

Only small con: the payment process. It would be a nice upgrade to have handheld devices so guests don’t have to give up their phones to close out. Small detail, but it would elevate the experience even more.

“Dined here last night before PPAC, for that reason we made an early dinner reservation. I confirmed when calling they had valet parking. We arrived to find no valet attendant. After some back and forth with hostess and manager my husband was finally able to come inside for dinner, nearly 30 mins wasted. Our server AJ provided exemplarry service; she was personable and knew the menu like the back of her hand. We appreciated her service, and our dinners were all very good. As we departed we confirmed with the tardy valet attendant if we could leave the car and pick up after the show as we do with neighboring establishments and he said no because they would be closed by the time the show was over; this couldn’t have been further from the truth. The valet was rude, late, and it’s terribly unfortunate that the valet ruined what could have been a great dinner with friends.“

Every dish that came to our table looked and tasted like the main ingredient is love. It’s like you’re all experiencing dining together prompting conversation with strangers gathering for the common love of food. Love everything about this new place. Oh and the food is still phenomenal.“
