“Went to a flag football event with my son and they were there with a food truck. I had a coffee and ordered a chocolate chip cookie for myself. The first thing I noticed that it was mostly chocolate chips, hardly cookie. My kinda cookie. I decided to be nice and bring the cookie home to Maine to my five year old. Me and my two boys shared the cookie after dinner and boy was I mad that I didn’t buy 25 more. That was the best chocolate chip cookie I’ve ever had in my life. I will be placing an order for shipping here in the next couple days. Gonna try the m&m but def getting more of those cookies. Thank you!!!!!“

“These wonderful women did it again! with having very specific requests for my daughter's sweet 16 ... they delivered! the red velvet and vanilla cake was decadent yet still light. the favor cookies were a huge hit, especially the evil eye! “Outstanding meal! There were 7 of us for a family gathering (we met in the middle for CT + MA family) and everything about our dinner was exceptional! The food, the wine, the calamari + dip, the bread, the olive oil + balsamic dip were all delicious, but the lobster ravioli and caramel gelato were to die for. Omg! Our server was perfect too. “Just grabbed a chicken and rice bowl here with an iced coffee. The guy was very friendly. Loaded up my plate with toppings and chicken. Food was excellent. I’ll be coming back for sure. Iced coffee was really good too. Fair prices for everything and the amount I got. Very nice people and great food. Highly recommend you stop by!“

“I have to say the cinnamon rolls are absolutely delicious. The ones I have had in the past from other places have been very dry and bla and honestly it made me not buy them anymore. Ds will be my go to from now on for cinnamon buns. I haven't tried anything else but will be, in the near future.“

“We had a great dinner there just before the Waterfires. I am a big fan of the Mongolian Beef, and my daughter traditionally gets the lo mein. Our server, Suelly, was excellent. She was super friendly, and helped to make sure the ingredients wouldn't interfere with food restrictions. We also had fun talking with her about music, concerts and other live performances. It's a great place to get good food and watch the people passing by outside in downtown Providence.“

“We visited for an early dinner. Our waiter Jake was outstanding! After a wonderful meal, my husband paid the bill & we were getting ready to leave when the manager came to our table to ask what was wrong & if we were unhappy w/our server.....'No he was fantastic' we said. Oh! he said, because we didn't leave a tip he thought the waiter had messed up.... suffice it to say.... husband had THOUGHT he left the tip when he paid. Apparently he didn't!!! Talk about being embarrassed!! We gave Jake a little extra in his tip. So, next time you're at Davenports, East Prov. ask for Jake... he's awesome & goes beyond his waitstaff duties.“

“I was there doing utility work and I was offered a free lunch. These people are kind and their food is great.!“

“I've recently travelled from England to visit a friend in Rhode Island. She purchased one of your cakes as a welcome cake a cute one with bees on it and also some chocolate chip cookies. The cake was absolutely amazing and is by far the best I have ever tasted. The cookies were great too.“

“My wife introduced me to this restaurant a few years ago and now we try and order from here atleast 1 to 2 times a month. It was actually where we had our first date.

I always get the chicken parm and she gets the eggplant parm.“

“They took away the “sourdough stick” which was their sourdough baguette named in a way that made it hard to tell what it was. I myself accidentally got a regular French baguette on multiple occasions when I actually wanted a sourdough one because I consider it a baguette. I think this is why it was selling less.

A bunch of other unique items like the walnut raisin loaf and pan de mie were also removed while nothing new was added. As others have said the place can feel a bit rote and it’s not mindblowingly amazing but it is the best in the area and solid for what it is. That being said, I have fewer reasons to go there now. Too bad.

I worked at a successful Boulangerie in a different city and they had a different approach. I can’t help but think if this place brought in the croissants and pastries from the one I worked at it would be even more popular and loved.

Edit: I can’t in good conscience give this place 3 stars because my complaints come from a place of love. So there you go have an extra star. Total rating 4 out of 7 stars“

“Today was my 1st time there (I drove up from CT)! The store is great & had everything I needed. The staff was also fantastic! Even carried my box to my car! I will definitely be back for all my candy making needs!“

“Very disappointed they no longer have a liquor license. The food was delicious the waiter was great, however when I looked up at the ceiling fans i was horrified! All 3 fan are covered with a thick layer of dust some accumulation actually hand down from the blades! please get up there and clean those blades!!!“

“I purchased a gift card for Father’s Day from Seven Stars but when it got digitally delivered, the code was invalid. Seems like they moved systems to Toast which caused some errors.

“My favorite from here is the mixed greens pizza. They’re the only ones that have it how I like it and it’s honestly the only pizza place I’ve seen it on the menu at all. Crunchy crust and loaded with leafy mixed greens salad and grilled chicken and red onions and a lovely oil and vinaigrette dressing. That selection and a pepperoni pizza pie (their pepperoni gets crispy on the edges they curl a little bit, love that) is such a great compliment to one another. My highest recommendation on the both together.“
