Amazing atmosphere great place to eat with family and friends and the food is beyond this world. I even had to take meatballs to go! 😋 I want to give a shot out to LARRY our server! “We enjoyed having breakfast at this wonderful place while in Newport, RI. The people who own it and those who work there are AMAZING, friendly, and take the time to talk to customers while keeping service at the top of their list. They (from the kitchen to the front door) look like they love working there and have created a loving family environment. Of course, the line was out the door and down the street, but that was okay because everyone enjoyed visiting each other. There is just one warning, the portions are enormous. You know when my husband can't finish it, it's a lot. 🤣”

“We ordered 5 different tacos and burritos as a sampler plate this weekend for guests; not only was each delicious, but the seasoning and other fresh ingredients in each taco and burrito complemented the main ingredient (fish, shrimp, chicken, pork or beef). NOT a place where every taco and burrito gets tossed together with the same ingredients and seasonings. Bonus: the take out containers are 100% recyclable . Kudos to the owners of this gem of a restaurant. I hope you thrive and expand!”

“We had another wonderful meal at The Food Shack tonight. My dad and I shared the nachos which were superb and my daughter enjoyed her rice bowl. And don’t forget a side of plantains! Also they serve local beer now which is a bonus. You need to eat here!”

“I had the Ron Swanson this weekend and it was absolutely delicious wish I had pics but I didn’t think to do that! My wife had a pepperoni lovers pizza and that was also fantastic. The table next to us had a half general tsos half chicken bacon ranch we worked out a trade and they were both excellent highly recommended”

“Amazing food. We got the raw oysters and clams platter, the Wellington and lobster ravioli. Everything was amazing and the service was excellent. The strawberry mocktail was also amazing and not too sweet. We finished with the rhubarb bread pudding (seasonal). Would absolutely come back to try the catch of the day. Food was PERFECT.”

“Five stars for the delicious treats, beautiful breakfast croissants, and flavorful coffee. Five stars for the peaceful outside dining area, and the warm and inviting cafe on the inside. Five stars for the staff who is always so gracious and lovely, minus the one time I was taken aback by the disrespect and unprofessionalism of one of the members. I hope that due to the poor choice of this staff member, that the members’misbehavior doesn’t reflect upon the teams’ sweet and wholesome image.”
