“We stumbled across this place tonight without realizing it was entirely Vegan. We're not Vegan ourselves, but our daughter is, so we eat a lot of Vegan cuisine. I ordered a zucchini "steak" dish that sounded unique, and my hubby got the country "chicken." Both were extraordinary - the best meal either of us has had since we moved to RI (and we've had some great meals). The food was honestly bursting with flavor, and the quantity was just right. The service was perfect, too, attentive without being intrusive. We debated getting dessert, since the dinner flavor left such a satisfying taste behind, but we couldn't resist the gluten-free chocolate brownie. It came with raspberries on top and a trickle of raspberry sauce, in a combination that was again perfect - crispy edges, a gooey center, sweet and rich but not too much so, with the raspberry flavor offsetting the chocolate in a way I've never tasted in my entire not-particularly-young life. It was so, so good, and to my surprise, it blended well with the dinner flavors. I've been sitting here all evening enjoying the last remnants of the taste, reluctant to go brush my teeth, and I thought I should take a moment to leave a review on the various sites. We will absolutely be return customers, and we can't recommend this restaurant enough!“

“I enjoy the different vegan and plant-based option at Plant City. There is the option to eat more casual downstairs, there is nice outdoor seating overlooking the river and bridge, and the upstairs Sezn offers fine dining. I tried Sezn for the first time and enjoyed the sweet potato gnocchi, eggplant lasagna and matcha strawberry shortcake. It was a beautiful atmosphere with very attentive staff. The food was exceptional.“

Small enough place for very personal experience and exchange with the chef, yet the cuisine of a high end, elegant dining experience. Pleasantly delighted! Worth going out of my way to get to Johnson for their cuisine.“

The only thing was when it costs $13 for a glass of wine, I'd like a good pour. The pours were a bit small. Service was excellent. Pricey but expected this, would definitely go back.“

I've struggled with finding an Italian restaurant I'm comfortable eating at for years! Our server, Morgan, went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and safe while eating here! I would happily take the 45 minute drive down here to eat again.“

“Location/decor/ambiance: the owners have tried to turn the spacious brick and beam interior of a former factory building into a ghetto-ish inner cityscape skateboard park using graffiti-style airbrush graphics, little skateboards that serve as bar chair seat backs, concrete floors painted with Providence manhole covers, etc. Visually, the effect is mixed. I “get” what the owners are trying for, but it isn’t for me an “attractive” dining decor. It looks much more like a dance club for young twenty-somethings. I quickly adjusted to the inner-city grunge decor, but what we couldn’t adjust to was the VERY loud rap/hip-hop music blaring out of some very robust speakers non-stop. Talking was difficult. Yes, I’m an older person, but I don’t begrudge anyone their musical sensibilities… provide its not full of “***** and “nigga” and roaring out at at least 90 decibels. Whatever they’re trying to be, they need to remember that they are l (at 10 am) a restaurant, not a dance club. Food & service: unexpectedly, given the above criticism, the food was outstanding, I mean really good. Caught us off guard. Just beautifully imagined and realized. Would I return? Probably not. Even the great food cant quite overcome the soundscape. Interesting place, though“

Six of us descended on Pickerel around 18:00
At this point there were already a few diners but we found space at the bar without problem.
I have to say that I did worry some about the small menu, but between 6 of us ( ages ranging from 54 down to 8 years) we tried pretty much everything on the menu and it was all delicious.

She arrived shortly thereafter, introduced herself and welcomed us with a smile and eye contact. Lexi named the evening special and described the dish, offered several entree suggestions when we asked questions. Lexi took our drink and appetizer and dinner order and quickly reappeared with drinks; our appetizers arrived via food runner who also inquired if we needed anything else before departing . We noticed Lexi warmly welcoming new diners at adjoining tables and efficiently answering questions and taking food and drink orders. Our food arrived as soon as we finished appetizers of flavorful Greek salad and chowder. Lexi ensured we had everything necessary and promptly refilled our drinks when asked.. dinner of braised short rib man n cheese was flavorful with a wonderful cheese sauce. The kitchen timed all the components of our meal perfectly. Well definitely be returning. Thank you!!!“
