“What a fantastic dining experience my family had tonight. Cocktails were superb, my rare tuna tacos were not only the best tacos I’ve ever eaten, it was one of the top 3 meals I’ve ever had. My wife had the rib eye melt which was equally as delicious, and my daughter loved her Mac & cheese and green beans. I started with white chowder which is typically good no matter where you get it in New England, but there’s was excellent. As good as the food was, it was the service from Alexa that made it so memorable. She was friendly and accommodating like any server would or should be, but she went beyond that making us feel like friends and family. Extra kudos to her for being a superstar. All in all, this was a 10+ dining experience even though the best is 5. Back 40 and their sister restaurants are all the best that RI has to offer.“

The people who own it and those who work there are AMAZING, friendly, and take the time to talk to customers while keeping service at the top of their list. Of course, the line was out the door and down the street, but that was okay because everyone enjoyed visiting each other. There is just one warning, the portions are enormous. “I have been to many asian food restaurants as I traveled in Asia and especially China, Jayd Bun is by far one of the best asian food experiences I have had over the years. The food was absolutely amazing. The flavors combined with spices and the noodles were incredible. So if you enjoy a spicy asian food, Jayd Bun is the place to get it. It’s a take out order but taking advantage of the suggestions of getting this takeout food to a few local places where you can drink and enjoy Jayd Bun food. Our favorite food were the Yo Po, Jayd Noodles and of course the buns.“

“Rasa is a wonderful restaurant for a date night, family dinner or even dining for one. The flavors are out of this world, they can accommodate dietary and their customer service is wonderful. Whether you are interested in the Thali Lunch, the dinner menu or some of their specials like 2 for 50$ Monday specials. I would definitely recommend RASA!“

“We just enjoyed a late lunch that was absolutely delicious! The lobster bisque was a great starter but the lobster Mac and cheese was the BEST we’ve ever had. Giant chunks of lobster were buried amongst the creamy noodles. We shared the lobster dish and it was plenty. \nThe fresh cod/ Fish-n-chips was also excellent, flaky light white fish. We waited 45 mins for our table, while sipping hot spiced cider - the food was well worth the wait.“

Amazing local farm-to-table options that keep us and those who visit us asking to go back to that one place in Newport, I really loved! The service to guests with one or more allergies was superb! The chef personally came to our table on each visit to discuss what meals were safe to order. I have multiple allergies, so sometimes they would have made me my own off-the-menu special dish. “I had what I believe was called the Korean fried Chicken Sandwich and my wife had grilled salmon on a salad. Both were to die for. The chicken was moist and the flavor fantastic without being overpowering. My wife's salmon was among the best we have ever had and we eat salmon often. Expertly seared on the outside while cooked to perfection on the inside. We started our meals with cocktails, which were both excellent and generous pours. My order came with sweet potato fries which were as good as advertised. Our wait staff were very friendly and helpful as this was our first visit to this restaurant but certainly not our last.“

Our waitress was engaging, personable, and even took the time to share some Rhode Island folklore with us, which made the evening feel extra special. “Today we made a pilgrimage to Basil Yu’s restaurant, Yagi Noodles. My son happened to see that Basil had become a successful restaurateur while he was watching one of Guy Fieri’s shows. We had become acquainted with Basil when we were all involved with a Boy Scout Troop in Manchester NH. We were disappointed to discover that Basil wasn’t at the restaurant, however we got over it when we found out it was due to a commitment to a fundraiser for the James Beard Foundation. Basil, You weren’t there, but your food is delicious. You get the Merit Badge! You weren’t there, but your staff is spectacular! You get the Merit Badge! We wish you continued success! “We had an amazing experience working with Silverspoon Bakery for our wedding! Lynne was fantastic. She truly helped us incorporate our personalities into the dessert bar by including all of our favorite treats. Mick did a beautiful job setting up the display, and our guests absolutely loved it. There wasn’t a single piece left! Everyone kept going back for more. We even asked for a box to be set aside so we could enjoy the desserts later, which we really appreciated. Everything was perfect. We will definitely be using them again for all future events“

“Fuel Coffee is amazing! My husband and I were traveling from Connecticut and wanted to find a great coffee spot. After looking around, we found Fuel, and we’re so glad we did. As soon as we walked in, a very kind lady greeted us and took the time to explain everything. They have so many flavor options! Since it’s make-your-own, your coffee will always be exactly how you like it. I got an iced chocolate peanut butter coffee with almond milk, and my husband had the house blend, which he made perfectly. We also grabbed two croissants that were absolutely incredible. If you’re looking for a clean, welcoming place with friendly staff and great coffee, Fuel Coffee is the place to go!“
