“A warning- if you dont like honest reviews of deliciousness on a Saturday morning, please scroll on by. I wish I was able to take a photo of my breakfast from Mae's Place this morning, but quite frankly- it was so yummy, I gobbled it up without even blinking. A Valentine's Day special, i saw the menu posted on their Instagram with some photos, so I ordered the Bacon and Latke Eggs Benedict with a side of fruit and a cawfee to go. I live about 6-8 minutes away from Mae's, and let me tell you- I drooled the whole ride home. The smell of fresh latkes and coffee swirling around my car, I couldn't wait to tear into that breakfast. It was so good. The eggs were made to my liking, the bacon crunchy, the latkes seasoned and yum.... It also helps that when I call to put my order in, "Miss Fabulous" herself; Jackie, answers with "Hiiiiiii Areiiiinnnaaaa" when she picks up the phone to take my order Do yourselves a favor this weekend, treat yourself right and get some eggs Bennie from Mae's. “The food is hit and miss, I have had really good food and order the same thing the next visit and be absolute garbage. However, what makes this a 5 stars is the staff and the pies!! The lemon meringue pie is to absolutely die for and is the best I have ever had yet.“
“Good service and lots of food options. The margarita really didn’t taste like a margarita- but I did enjoy that it was light and refreshing with a Tajin rim which I requested. The desserts are HUGE! The chicken parm is a huge serving- enough for 2 people! I requested more sauce. Fun place, game night was going on in another area from where my friends and I were- we could hear it- very lively, but not obnoxious in the early evening.“

“I've stopped here many times over the years and I've never had a bad meal and it's always consistent. On this visit I was craving a awful awful and honestly it tastes the same now as it did in the 70's when I had my first one. If you're not familiar with the awful awful it is a milkshake. The only difference between now and then is as a kid we were paying .99¢ as opposed to six and change, but still worth it from time to time.“
“Went out with some work friends to this cool pub in downtown newport. I would recommend a reservation as this was a Wednesday night and the place was still packed. The staff were receptive and provided excellent service. I never found myself waiting for a fresh drink. The food was suprisingly delicious which is something i dont normally expect from a large and varied menu. The pricing is about normal for the area, so if tourist area prices are not for you it may not be the best option. I will be recommending Brick Alley to friends. And the only reason i will not give 5 stars is i try to reserve that rating for very special exceptions.“

“Had the 2-course lunch special for $22 and everything was delicious. The lobster roll was served hot or cold, pictured is the hot roll with a nice garlic flavor on the bread. Steak in the sandwich was tender and not fatty and the fries are perfect. Service was timely, and serves was informative. Highly recommend trying them out.“

“The Tree House Tavern is amazing! I hosted a Bridal Shower here and from my first inquiry to the day of the event, I was amazed. The venue is PERFECT for a shower or a get together with friends/family. I highly recommend their dessert (cupcakes are amazing) and all of their food is scrumptious! My event had about 25 people and we fit comfortably in the rooms in which we reserved. Jacqueline the event coordinator goes above and beyond for her guests. The waiters/waitresses were very attentive to all guests and checked in on the Bride and MOH multiple times through the night. I will recommend everyone I know to check out this spot! Their florist does a great job as well, the decor is amazing. Tables were set very neatly and everything was warm and inviting. I also really love coming here for Lunch/dinner as well. Truly a hidden gem.“

“The Chop House Grill has been our go-to place every week for years. We went again tonight and sat at the bar to eat and interact with James Tsai, our favorite bartender and server. He is a true expert at his job, and is frequently observed training new waitstaff. He gave us perfect service as always. A newer member of the staff is Max, whom we also enjoy dealing with. Both are ideal representatives of the Chop House Grill. Kudos! I wish that we could give 10 stars to "the Chop" and these amazing people.“

I had the Malt burger and it was great / cooked perfectly and tasty with bacon, pickled onion jam, mustard aioli, etc - the kitchen knows how to upgrade a burger! Draft Beer selection was impressive - I particularly loved this Pilsner from VT. Waiter was great - and they must make a mean espresso martini - as we saw a lot of them coming out from the bar! Menu is varied - and prob want to try the cod/risotto next time. Great experience and loved the ‘whole package’ at Malt!“

“I ordered the Filet Mignon, it was the most delicious steak I have ever had in my life. Still dreaming about it to this day, it is a MUST HAVE!! Worth every penny and the portion size was perfect. Didn’t leave feeling hungry and didn’t need any takeout containers. The steak was so buttery and smooth, and the housemade sauce that they use for it was delicious. Not one thing to complain about, everything was exceptional. I also appreciate having a steak on the menu that is just as good as the seafood that they serve. I am not much of a seafood person, but went here on a date (my girlfriend loves lobster) and was very pleased to find something on the menu for me. It is clear that the staff take pride in their dishes and concentrate on perfecting every one of them. Especially with the summer months coming up, I highly recommend that you come and visit this place!“

“Perfect ! I had my daughter's baby shower in the sanctuary room at the Safehouse. From the start I met with the banquet coordinator Erin. She was wonderful to work with. On the day of the shower I was greeted by the other banquet coordinator Alyssa. She was also great to work with. My servers were Jess and Meg. Both were so sweet and very good. We wanted for nothing. Everything ran smooth and all of the staff was attentive and friendly. Food was amazing. All my guests...over 50 of them...raved about how wonderful the party was. The best they had ever been to. “Old Mountain Lanes is a hidden gem in southern Rhode Island. We had an outing there for a parks association meeting and we had a great time. This was the second time we have been there. Great place to bowl of course, but they have a great diner and a bar area. The pizza we had was very good, and others in my group said they had pretty good food there. Although I did not eat at the diner. There is plenty of room for an outing, and / or a meeting. Definitely a good choice. If you're looking for a place for corporate team building, birthday party or other event. I highly recommend it.“
