“One of the BEST RESTAURANTS I’ve ever been to!! Make a reservation but plan to eat a lot of yummy food! It’s the best flavored meat I’ve ever had!!! Each time we have friends visit we come here!!! It’s amazing and you will not be disappointed!! Try the burnt Mac & cheese - jalepeno- bacon… and all of the meats, pulled pork, brisket! INCREDIBLE!!! Super reasonable as well! Plenty of room and full bar, but just in case always make a reservation!!!“

“I ordered in the drive-through shortly after 8pm on 8/19. Both of the associates with whom I interacted were exceptionally friendly and competent. I had the best cheese bites that I've ever gotten at a Cookout franchise, and my Cajun chicken sandwich was perfectly prepared as I requested it. Every bit of the experience at the Boundary Street location was superb, and I truly hope the employees working at that time/date are adequately compensated and rewarded for making this store the best value and taste for fast food in Beaufort. Where else can a community member get a chicken sandwich, two sides, and a milkshake for ~$10 in this economy?!“

“We had the BBQ Ribs and Shrimp Platter and Shrimp Platter. 10 out 10 I highly recommend! The ribs was tender, juicy, and melted in my mouth! Grilled and fried shrimp delicious as well!“

Gullah Grub Restaurant features low country cooking at its finest prepared in the traditions of the Gullah people living along Atlantic coastal regions. The building is super charming and filled with articles, photographs, and artwork related to the owners, Bill & Sara Green, and their mission to serve locally sourced organic foods. Bill was actually there and prepared our meals. I tried the chicken gumbo with a side of rice - she got the BBQ chicken lunch with potato salad and an extra side of mac-n-cheese. Of all these items, my favorite, by far, was the chicken gumbo - super thick and flavorful with a hint of smokiness - EXCELLENT! I mixed the rice with it and it was perfection. Next time I'll try the shrimp gumbo. My second favorite item was the potato salad - seriously, the best I've ever had. Drinks were very good (I preferred the lemonade over the sweet tea). Corn bread is complimentary at the start - very tasty! We had room for a little dessert, so we asked our server for her recommendation - sweet potato pie or peach cobbler. The pie was her favorite, and it did not disappoint! We really felt like family in this restaurant, and the food was great. You must try this place if you're in the Beaufort area!“
