“RUN to McClellanville and visit The Bent Rod. We sampled as much of the menu tonight as humanly possibly and each dish was better than the last. Flounder, BBQ nachos, bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers, fried chicken sandwich……. All unreal. FRESH SQUEEZED grapefruit and vodka at their outdoor bar. Owner operators are new and are the nicest people on earth, we saw an incredible band, and I’m telling you…. This is a hidden gem worth driving to!!!!“
“Cute place. Doesnt look like much from the highway, but it's worth the stop. We ordered flounder, shrimp and clam strips (2 items and 2 sides). The clam strips are the best I've had because they're lightly breaded. I could actually taste the clam!! So good! The flounder was cooked perfectly with a great fresh flavor. The cole slaw is a good balance of mayo and vinegar, which was nice. The baked mac-n-cheese is made in-house. We're major cheese freaks so a little more for us would've been cool; however, it still has that home made flavor which is awesome.“
