What started as a perfectly normal trip to Bojangles somehow turned into The Great Key Flush of 2026. 🤦‍♀️🔑🚽

My mom managed to accidentally flush her CAR KEYS down the toilet. Yes. You read that correctly. Not dropped them beside it. Not left them on the sink. FLUSHED. THE. KEYS.

And I have to give the employees at Bojangles in Clinton ALL the credit because they immediately went into a level of customer service I am fairly certain is NOT covered in the employee handbook. 😂 They were literally willing to remove bolts from the toilet trying to help find those keys!

Tish especially deserves recognition. She locked the stall so nobody could use—or, heaven forbid, FLUSH—the toilet again, and let Mom stand guard over the scene of the crime while we tried to figure out what to do next. 🤣

Unfortunately, the keys had apparently decided they were done with this life and were headed downstream to begin a new one.

Enter Affordable Key in Laurens, otherwise known after today as THE KEY GOD. 🔑🙌

After a morning that became WAY more involved than anything I had signed up for, Affordable Key came through and made Mom another car key. Crisis solved. Car rescued. Mom rescued. The original keys are presumably somewhere beneath Clinton beginning their new career in wastewater management.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ to BOTH businesses.

Bojangles: Thank you for going ridiculously above and beyond for something that definitely wasn’t in the job description.

Affordable Key: Thank you for showing up and saving the day when our keys had quite literally gone down the toilet.

Excellent customer service from beginning to end—and proof that sometimes when your day goes completely down the toilet, good people can still help you get home. 😂🔑🚽

“It was a very good experience. It’s a family owned place. I like it because I think it’s important to keep a very healthy diet. This place always offers fresh vegetables with the variety of great choices of sandwiches. I like coming almost every day to get a sandwich of the day. One of my favorites is meatball sandwich on Mondays. The service is excellent and the place is incredibly clean. Thanks to the wonderful owner. Highly recommend it.“

“I don’t normally do reviews on Subway or other fast food places…but I gotta give props to Malaysia (not sure of the spelling). This is the 2nd time I’ve had her for making the sandwiches and she does it the same way as I remember back years ago as opposed to the way they do them now..cheese on one side, fixin’s, then the meat..as opposed to opening the meat, and piling everything in creating a goopy mess when eating it.“
