New American Restaurants in Clinton, SC

“We are from central Florida and were spending four days doing the vacation thing throughout Eastern and Central South Carolina. We always attempt to stop at local restaurants, especially away from the bigger cities, so when we saw good reviews for House of Pizza Clinton, we stopped in.
Being tourists, we visit a lot of different restaurants during our time on the road and tend to become jaded. When we walked into this House of Pizza, the first thing we both noticed was how clean it was. First impressions go a long way toward a quality dining experience.
We were pleasantly greeted by Amy, who took the time to help us by pointing out tasty selections based on our lunch questions.
I ordered a small house special pizza. Normally I am a medium-size pizza kind of guy, but after the small pizza arrived, I found that Amy was right. The pizza had a crisp crust with a generous portion of multiple cheeses and other toppings that made it quite flavorful and filling. My pizza was served hot and cut properly. I also received an order of onion rings. They were made with real onion (unlike some places), fried to perfection, and hot like the pizza.
My wife ordered the lasagna and found it to be properly cooked, quite flavorful, and almost more than she could eat.
All in all, the service was excellent, our food was hot, fresh, and good value for the money we spent. If we are ever in the area, we will stop again.“
