“We ate here for the first time today. Maddy was our server and she was fantastic. She answered all of our questions and was very helpful. We had the Bang Bang shrimp and Crab fries for appetizers. Shrimp were perfectly cooked and the sauce had the perfect amount of heat. The crab fries were crispy and loaded with blue crab meat. My husband had the fried shrimp platter with fries and coleslaw. Coleslaw was delicious. Shrimp had great batter that was airy and light. I had the broiled flounder and scallops with grilled squash and Brussel sprouts. Flounder and scallops again were cooked perfectly. Brussel sprouts are some of the best I have ever had. We will definitely be back.”

Me and my Brother stopped by after our moms surgery today, hoping to lift her spirits with something tasty. What we found was not only tasteful food but also the charming spirit of the owner and staff. He truly went above and beyond to make our experience special. Knowing we were in the area for only a short time, he came out to our car to greet my mom with a warm smile because she wasn't feeling her best to get out. It was a small gesture that spoke volumes about his character and the values of his business. He also brought food outside just for her to taste test. As someone who visits coffee shops everywhere I go, I was thrilled to discover Lulu's Coffee Company while in Florence, South Carolina for a training. Nestled in the heart of downtown, this coffee shop is a true hidden gem. The space is beautiful, featuring exposed brick walls, airy windows with great street views, and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that makes it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee.

The staff is exceptionally friendly, making the experience even better, and the coffee itself is fantastic—smooth, rich, and expertly crafted. Lulu's has that rare combination of great people, great coffee, and a great setting, making it a must-visit for anyone in the area. I was very pleasantly surprised to find such a warm and inviting coffee spot in downtown Florence. Highly recommend!”

“Our visit was 21 Dec 2024. We had 7 kids & 3 adults for lunch. The food was good. They keep the environment cleaned & wiped down. Staff were professional, in a safe area. They provide nice size plates. Only problem was the unavailability to buy separate additional sides without buying a whole plate and macaroni and cheese looked like it was boxed kraft, but kids liked it.

“While at the library, I was feeling a bit hungry so I checked to see what was around within walking distance. Townhouse popped up and when I saw they had Greek food, I knew I had to try them. I was welcomed as soon as I walked in the door. After perusing the menu, I ordered a gyro, fries, and a lemonade for dine in. I found a nice table by the window and observed the traffic coming into the restaurant as well as those using the drive thru window. This place had people coming and going nonstop! My food was quick to be made, and piping hot. The fries were delicious and the gyro wasn’t bad either. The gyro meat did look and taste as though it was a mass produced (square cut pieces with slightly dry edges) and previously frozen item, but the spices were pretty close to what I was expecting. The flat bread it was wrapped in was okay, but had a mass produced flavor as well. Overall, my meal wasn’t too bad for a local family restaurant and the fact that they stayed busy the entire time I was there (between lunch and dinner) shows they have good food overall and the locals love them. I would eat there again to get my Greek food fix.”

“We decided to go to Magnolia Wok during this visit for Chinese food. We’ve been here a few times before and we love how much food we get with your order. Since we knew what to expect we decided to get one plate and split it. The person taking the order was nice and even confirmed our order with us prior to us paying. The person making the plates told us it would be a small wait because they wanted to give us fresh chicken instead of the little bit of chicken that had been sitting, which we thought was so thoughtful! The wait wasn’t long and we ordered the orange chicken with lo mein, everything was fresh and really good. Even after splitting the plate between the two of us we were still able to get seconds should we want it. The area was little crowded as the location is in the food court of the mall but the place itself wasn’t bad and they were moving their line right along. 10/10

“Tried this spot based on the recommendation of my friend and am so glad we did! At first you’d think the place is super small but there’s much more seating in the back and you can seat yourself. The bar is well stocked and neat. I didn’t order a drink since I went on my lunch break from work but I’ll be returning and will update my review accordingly. First off, the service was quick and knowledgeable. She had our drinks out fast and even made appetizer recommendations. I love friend pickles and if they’re on the menu I typically get them and these were worth it. So yummy. The bistro sauce that comes with the pickles left a strange aftertaste for me so I went with ranch instead but my boyfriend loved it. After eyeing the menu we both decided on the space jam burger. Absolutely amazing! One of the best burgers you’ll get in this town and I'm not exaggerating. The fries weren’t anything special but they complemented the burger well. Overall, I cannot wait to come back to this place! 5/5!”

“Some of the best beers are served up at this brewery. It was at a convenient location for us to stop at mid-day. We appreciated the early opening time. We walked in and found a taproom/restaurant that was very clean and well maintained. The decor was modern and inviting. Danny greeted us at the door and he couldn't have been nicer. He was our bartender too and was very accommodating to our tastes. There was a really great selection of different styles of beer and we picked what we wanted for a flight and took up Danny's suggestions for the next one. All the beers were very good or better. The most amazing ones were the Beach Peach Wheat Ale and Green Strings Märzen. We also met the owner who delighted us with the story of the brewery itself and informative facts about craft beer in SC. Between the bartender, Danny, and the owner, the folks at Southern Hops were warm and friendly and made us feel welcome. We came to try the beer and didn't try the food. Maybe next time we will come for a meal too. We would like to visit again soon and try more of the great tasting brews.

“The staff was very friendly, helpful and patience. True customer service! Sandwiches are what I have come to expect from Jersey Mike's, big juicy and flavorful.
This is always the closet to a Philly cheesesteak I have eaten. Plus thay have a wrap option if you don't need a big roll.

“For years I only went to one particular Mexican restaurant only a couple of blocks from my home (that I swore was the best in town)until I tried Palapas! Now I drive across town whenever I crave Mexican. My favorite is the mixed quesadillas. Always juicy and full of meat. I usually call and order and pick up in the drive thru.”

“This past weekend I used Cibo’s to cater a family dinner for 15 people. I asked for chicken fettuccine Alfredo which wasn’t on their catering menu (at least that I could find) as requested by my 6 year old birthday girl and they gladly stated they could make it. They provided salad, bread, tea, plates, utensils, napkins and even walked everything to my car and loaded it for me. The food was praised by everyone and there was leftovers for us to enjoy for lunch the next day. The ordering process and experience was top notch. I will absolutely be ordering their catering service for large parties in the future. The food was absolutely delicious. The easiest experience ever. After a long day of playing in the sun, it was wonderful not to have to think about making dinner and take that time away from spending with my family. Thank you!!”

“We stopped in here on a friday night around eight pm, party of two. We sat at the bar even though half of the restaurant was open with available seating.

We had stopped into another restaurant to have dinner. However, I just didn't feel the vibe. That was not the case here. The moment we walked in, I just adored the place. From the old school sign outside to the warm, friendly atmosphere inside, I was hooked (it may have been the counter full of delicious appearing baked goods that sealed the deal for me).

The bartender was very friendly and attentive. Of course, I ordered a margarita, top-shelf salt rim. The margaritas were great, and we ordered an appetizer of chicken fiesta dip at the same time. Not long after that, this is when a divine intervention took place. I have to mention that while we were waiting on that divine intervention, we were served biscuits that are handmade here. The best i've ever had, and that's not an exaggeration. I was informed that they do sell them frozen for those who want to prepare them later at home. I didn't think it could give any better.

There was a couple sitting to our left, and they had ordered an appetizer around the same time as us. Our bartender mistakenly provided us with the best pizza dip ever ( the appetizer, our neighbors to the left, actually ordered)! She told us we should go ahead and sample that because it was her mistake while we waited on our chicken fiesta dip. Best mistake ever because that pizza dip was out of this world! The chicken dip arrived not long after that, and it was wonderful but didn't hold a candle.

Since we had 2 large bowls of appetizers, we did not order an entree, and I did not get a picture of either of the appetizers because the second I tasted that pizza dip, my world changed.

I did order a praline caramel cheesecake to go, which I shared with my son once. I got home, and holy Toledo, we were both in heaven!

The dessert case looks like heaven on earth..... Everything is made fresh inside this restaurant, and honestly, it couldn't have been any better. I will absolutely be back to try everything on the menu, which will probably take me the next five years.”

The atmosphere is everything you'd want in a bar or nightlife environment. We met some of the most amazing people one could wish to come in contact with, and the drinks were outstanding ?. We left the house on an adventure to find a bar and a few drinks. After stumbling upon the Wooden Nickel, we left unwound, happy, and with a few more friends.”

Covid took that luxury away but you were still able to enjoy all the sauces one would want. We ate there this evening to find out that besides the white sauces you are given, the other sauces are 83 cent for a TINY cup. I know it is harder than ever for a business to make any money given the cost of supplies but 83 cent for sauces that used to be completely complimentary?? This was shocking to me as the prices for the food are high enough to where you would think that would cover the cost of any sauce you might want. I am not going to leave a low star review because I will be back but as a long time customer I had to warn others about this. I will now have to pack my own hot sauce as I could never bring myself to pay 83 cent for a sauce in addition to my $15 bowl and $2.25 drink. To the operator of the location I would just ask, is the 83 cent you’re getting for the sauce worth dissatisfying a loyal customer base? My dad eats hot sauce and mustard so he will have to pay at least $1.66 for his sauces that he will probably end up buying two of. Finally, I did not see any signage up whatsoever about the hot sauce and mustard being 83 cent. If you are going to continue this absurd policy you need to let your patrons know so they can pay for their sauce and food during the same transaction.”

“I feel sorry for anyone who is in competition with this place. When you take into account our horrible inflation, this place offers great prices for incredible food. My favorite is the Filet plate and it is cooked perfectly. Also, the wings are an incredible side item. If you are in Florence, SC and like Asian food, you will be very well served to visit. The only downside to this place is that they could totally own me because the food is so good.”

I don’t understand the complaints from other patrons. If I want a dining decorated my tastes I’ll eat at my own house. The restaurant was clean and constantly being wiped down. Great Job to this team. The question is not if I’ll be back but how soon. (3 hour drive but well worth it)”

“After a full day of driving, my husband and I stopped here for dinner. We split the Fettuccine Alfredo with grilled chicken and broccoli which was more than enough for 2 people. “Normally I'm a huge fan of Chic-fil-A. Normally Chic-Fil-A is the standard by which all other fast-food chains aspire to be. But today I witnessed an absolute failure on Chic-fil-A's part. The drive thru. Normally a point of pride for this restaurant. But now they have cut the drive thru down to one lane and established the other as a "mobile-thru". Today the Drive thru lane was wrapped around the building, the mobile thru had 1 car in it during the entire time I was there. However, the employees would not allow vehicles into the mobile lane to order, which made the wait time astronomical, causing my sweet tea to be hot and watered down and my food to be cold😥. Don't know what genius came up with the new concept, but why shut down a drive thru line (your busiest portion of your restaurant), why not establish parking spots as designated Mobile pickup spots. They are already using the app so they can check in just like Walmart or Lowes. Fix yourself Chic-fil-A, you're better than this, lol.”

Name brand varieties of bread such as: Wonder and Dave's Killer Breads, bagels & English Muffins. There are cupcakes, cookies, snacks, and food items, too. I've found Keto breads & roll items (they go fast), too! Save some $$ and stop by.”

Their chicken sandwich was fresh, hot, and juicy, with a light spicy kick to it, and their sweet tea was EXCELLENT, but one of my favorites is their rice! I’m not sure what they call it on their menu, but it’s the seasoned brown rice with little bits of meat in it, and I always order a large order when I’m there because to me, it’s my favorite thing on the menu!

I go up North quite a bit and seldom encounter Bojangles, but it’s definitely worth a visit when I see one, and I gave the atmosphere only four stars because I could hardly hear the background music, which would have been great if it was loud enough to hear comfortably.”
