“What was supposed to be a quick pit stop turned into a memorable part of our trip.

My boyfriend Steve and I were just passing through and stopped at Blanca Empanada in Charleston simply to use the bathroom—but the moment we walked in, we enjoyed more than just the bathroom 😂 . The warm, inviting aroma coming from the kitchen immediately pulled us in, and before we knew it, we were being welcomed by Johnathan, whose kindness made us feel like we had been regulars for years.

We decided to stay (the best decision we made all day) and ordered one of each taco, a lamb neck burrito, and the fresh tres leches. Every single bite was incredible—full of flavor, clearly made with care, and absolutely unforgettable. The lamb neck burrito was rich and tender, the tacos were vibrant and perfectly balanced, and the tres leches was the kind of dessert you think about long after it’s gone.

What started as a quick stop became a moment we’ll both hold onto. Places like this are rare—where the food is amazing, but the people make it even better. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re anywhere near Charleston.“

“This is the absolute BEST in CHARLESTON! 🌺 🌊 Me and my family love this place! Great service, food, and environment! It was so great there, I thought the check was going to come back so EXPENSIVE!! But NO, the payment was so quick and small! (No extra fees either) My small family of 3 ate HUGE meals for $30! And it was so good! We HAD TO tip them $40 for all of the good work they did 👏! The only negative was that my Co-worker said his dish was proportioned wrong and for me my favorite taco (Al pastor) was ok very well made but the flavor was missing sadly.
