“Corkscrew is my favorite wine bar in the greater Charlotte area! The atmosphere is wonderful and the bartenders and staff are great, especially Josh. Josh always makes the best recommendations for drinks! When I want to try something new, I ask Josh for a recommendation, and he nails it every time! Great place for a date night, grabbing a drink after work, and even solo!“

“Where do I even begin?!?! I have had the Speckled Pear on my list for a year now (I live in Virginia) and I FINALLY got a chance to give it a try. First impression: 1000% worth traveling over state lines for. I got the privilege of attending Saturday brunch and Saturday dinner. Both experiences had their differences and similarities and have me counting down the days until I go back. The menus both times were filled with many options of delicious foods. I did a little bit of everything while I was there and the truth is there are no wrong choices with what they offer! Now for my favorite part of my visit(s): The owners came out while we were eating and when we finished to check on how our service was and introduce themselves/say hello again. I LOVE that they do this. It added such a personal touch to this Family-Owned dining experience both in the morning at brunch and in the evening at dinner. The Speckled Pear was so lovely, and I appreciate all the dedication these owners have poured into their craft. I look forward to returning in the future.“

“My wife and I stopped here Friday night before dinner at a nearby restaurant. Friday and Saturday nights get very crowded but we were fortunate to grab 2 seats at the bar which is rather small. They specialize in MANY types of wine, craft beers and sangria. I’m had the Gailic Ale and an Oktoberfest, my wife had the red sangria. The atmosphere is that of a boutique book shop/winery. They offer a small selection of small bites that looked delicious. Very cool place . Prices were fair and we look forward to going back.“

“My daughter had her first prom this past weekend. I live out of state but I wanted to make sure her night was special. I spoke with Lynn Allen (general manager) she walked me thru buying a gift card and I was able to surprise my daughter and her date with dinner covered. Lynn (and the hostess I spoke with) were so friendly and helpful! My daughter said her dinner was amazing and can’t wait to visit again! So refreshing to have such friendly and professional staff to communicate with!“

“I stopped at Firebirds today for a late lunch. The soup of the day was amazing (Tomato bisque) and a perfectly cooked burger. Most outstanding was my server Michelle. She was so gracious I felt like she was welcomimg me into her home.“

“Great food and great service. Got there with a reservation and we were seated within about 5 minutes of our reservation time. It was pretty crowded but wasn't too much of a problem.

Food was really good, got some of the shareable plates for the two of us to share, the brussel sprouts were great and loved the short rib croquettes.

The cocktail menu was extensive and the ones we tried were very good.

Even though it was crowded didn't feel like we were crowded at the table. We were able to have a good conversation without feeling like we had to worry about others hearing us.

My baby of 1 year old was a little anxious and making noises as anyone year old will do and we can’t control that… and two ladies giving my little one the middle finger was uncomfortable, unacceptable and inappropriate….. people out please be empathetic to other and specially kids, they are learning the way through life… society is harder enough already…. Pd: wish I could get pictures of these two idiots!!!!“

“Wow!! Last night we had dinner and ordered several things. The buratta salad was to die for such a beautiful dish to look at an even better to eat. The spinach artichoke dip was the most unique I’ve ever tried. I got the wedge salad for an entree it was one of the best salads I’ve eaten out and my husband got his go to shrimp and grits. Your food was on point last night and I felt compelled to tell you. I love this place so much and so happy we have it with all the limited dining places nearby. Fantastic evening with you!“

I had a crazy request, and she and Allie not only fulfilled it, they exceeded my expectations and we had a PERFECT date night evening. I had the Surf & Turf and the Lobster was overcooked. Another party had a Hamburger and was not satisfied with the quality & taste. The manager came over and took care of everything very professionally for which we very much appreciated his involvement. For that reason, we will come back to Firebirds in Stonecrest again.“
