“The atmosphere is clean, food is fair nothing fancy. I had the hamburger steak as well as the potato salad and coleslaw. It was all really good. My mom had a chili cheeseburger that was just okay because the chili on top just looked like browned hamburger with not much flavor. All-in-one wasn't bad and the prices were pretty good. I'd probably go back.“

It reminds me alot of the old Fatman's Bar and Grill, that was located a short distance away, (Burnt down many years ago), that was my ALL TIME FAVORITE!!! “This was my first time here and I can say they did NOT disappoint! I had read other reviews that their breakfast was really good and again they did not disappoint. I had the steak and eggs with grits l; and my fiancé had the Philly omelette with home fries. Both of us finished our plates up!! The environment of the restaurant was so calm and homey. Almost everyone knew everyone and everything felt warm and cozy. I highly recommend this restaurant if you’re in the mood for a good breakfast. We will definitely be back to try the lunch/dinner menu!! ☺️“

“The food was great! We all had the “Black and Blue”. Filet medallions were so tender; fried green tomatoes were the best I've ever had; crème brûlée was wonderful as well. Most importantly the service was exceptional. Way beyond expectations. She never let our glasses get empty and made sure our food preferences were honored. She kept asking if we needed anything. Lauren was kind, friendly and had a beautiful smile. She made our experience memorable. Lauren also praised her manager, Dan, stating he was the best she ever worked for, and that the entire staff loved working for him. It was just an all around great experience and we will definitely return!“

“Holmes Hotdogs and catering may be the best local restaurant you could ever have the pleasure of visiting. I first came here over a year ago and I knew then it was something special. If I had a friend from another country visiting, and I could choose one place to show them a true slice of what America should be, I would take them here without a second thought. Holmes has a small menu, and I believe it is perfect. Because of their small menu, I believe they are able to assure every single item on it is made with quality and care. They recently added a new item, the bird dog, to their menu. The bird dog features a chicken tender, pickles, and honey mustard on a hot dog bun. I thought the bird dog was incredible, and I'll be sure to get it again with onions next time. I would personally recommend their chicken sandwich, which is always piping hot and made to order, and their sausage dogs, which I personally believe are their standout menu items, especially with sauerkraut and onions topping them. Holmes has an atmosphere unlike any other restaurants I've ever been in, you can tell the owner and employees truly care about not just the quality of their food and service, but also the wellbeing of their community. I've never felt like I don't belong when I walk into Holmes. I've wrote all of this without even mentioning their incredible prices, which are comparable to other local locations, however the quality of the food, service, and everything else about Holmes is what makes this location worth so much more than any other in the area. Out of anything I've ever reviewed, Holmes has worked the hardest and consistently proved their 5 star rating, and I have no doubt if I reviewed them in another year, they would continue to hold it.“

“First off, great staff!! They are very friendly, attentive, and accommodating.You are always greeted with a smile. The food is absolutely delicious. I always get at least 2 dozen raw oysters to start with a side of their cheesy grits, that taste like they came from my grandma's kitchen. I've been going there for years and have enjoyed every meal from sushi to steak, to smothered chicken to scallops. The food is phenomenal. Clearly the chefs take pride in every meal they prepared. Delicious food, portioned and priced right. The GBOH never disappoints. The backbone of the operation is Diane & Katie. They are always there and make you feel like family. I live in Florida and when I'm in South Carolina, after stopping to see family, my next stop is GBOH!!! LOVE IT!!“

“I fully believe this to be the best Waffle House I have ever been to. The staff were very welcoming and continued to clean as they went. The staff didn’t leave each server to their own table but instead helped each other and checked in with other tables if they thought they may need something. However, what I enjoyed the most was the atmosphere. Regulars that have been coming here for 10 years were joking with staff and vice versa. It felt welcoming and at home. If I lived closer, this would be a regular weekend treat.“

“We went in late night on karaoke night, and were so impressed, we have a biweekly visit planned. This place is the whole vibe! The DJ saw me hovering outside through the window and called me in to sing. From there, the experience just got better the longer we stayed. We were greeted and warmly welcomed by the staff, the patrons, even the owner. We felt so welcome and at home that we wanted to stay! The DJ kept everyone singing and mixed during breaks in singers. I havent ate here in a very long time ago, around 2001vqas the last time that I ate here, and i dont live in South Carolina anymore, i live in North Carolina and soon I will be planning to take a trip to South Carolina with my parents just to eat at Pete's. Thank you for staying in business but I always knew that you guys would stay open, even when I was a little girl, I knew that I would never forget this place and no matter what happened to me I would make sure when I did come back to South Carolina for visits i would always stop into at Pete's for the famous French fries and the jumbo chili cheeseburger with the onion ring.“

“Get it while you can, this is a dying breed. Quintessential Gen X burger place. My whole visit just now could have been an hour of MTV from the 80’s with the Bowl game on all TV’s. Not being a burger person, I opted for the chicken tenders this time. Not the best, but okay. My husband and his brother were with me and they are both burger eaters, so they were both quite satisfied. The sweet potato fries were excellent, as were the regular potato wedge fries. I highly recommend the fry sauce. There is an extensive bakery menu and excellent shakes. Restrooms were exceptionally clean.“

“Hate to write this review as it's not really about the restaurant as much as the customer/management. We eat here all the time but have never been unfortunate enough be there the same day another "regular" eats. My complaint is that if management is going to allow one customer to sit with their phone playing music (doesn't matter what Genre) so loud the other customers HAVE to listen to it, then I will find a new place to eat, which is a shame because this location has some of the nicest people working there. very sad.“
