“We had no reservations. Walked in, and the kitchen was only cooking orders that had already been placed. The chef/owner offered us seats at the bar and his special homemade pasta with meatballs for 2. The bartender was very attentive, funny accommodating and the food was amazing True Italian dishes. everyone we came in contact with with was friendly and accommodating”

“Peyton was absolutely amazing best bartender my husband and I loved the vacation we were on, Jeff was absolutely on his A game they definitely deserve a raise for all the hard work they did. “Smugglers is the best. I got my staff food from there the other day and it was fresh, tasted great, and really hit the spot. My team agreed 100%. The beer cheese pretzel ie a definite win. Crinkle cut fries are fresh. Bartender and owner were courteous and I will definitely be back to cater lunch for my team soon 👊 💯”

“The risotto was over flavored with Tarrogon (no warning in menu) and had large hard peppercorns in it. The Faroese island salmon had a lovely crispy skin but a lot of dark fatty and strong flesh under it. The bread is amazing, maple apple salad and the fish soup special with saffron tomato broth were excellent. The short rib and gnocchi was very good but too much food. Our waiter was exceptionally efficient.”

“Scott and Daniel make excellent cocktails! Sydney was quite possibly the best server on the island, friendly, knowledgeable, efficient yet unobtrusive. The views are lovely and can be enjoyed from nearly any seat. This restaurant has some of the best appetizers! It became our go-to for afternoon snacks and refreshments.”

“I felt compelled to come on here and leave a review for Café Paname.
There are many coffee shops and places that sell pastries, but there is nothing quite like this place. From the moment you walk in you feel the European vibe and warmth from the owner Amine. He truly takes care of his customers and most importantly he always looks out for the first responders in our community.
He is incredibly welcoming and genuinely goes above and beyond. When you walk in it feels like hugs, smiles, and a warm hello every time. That kind of hospitality is rare and it is something special.
If you want a croissant let me tell you it is absolutely to die for. It is the real deal. Even better when Amine says it himself because it sounds that much better with his accent.
Thank you for everything you do for the Isle of Palms community and for all the visitors who come through town. You treat everyone like family. Most importantly the way you treat the police officers and firefighters never goes unnoticed and it is truly appreciated.
The coffee is outstanding, the pastries are incredible, and if you happen to catch the evenings when he is open for dinner you are in for a real treat. The food is fantastic. The atmosphere is quiet, quaint, and honestly one of the best kept secrets on Isle of Palms.

“My husband and I stayed at the resort, it was a nice resort. We had breakfast and lunch at Woodys, I would recommend the Brawley breakfast sandwich. It was fantastic and the cook was great with remembering how we liked our order cook. The cashier Lashawn was great she greeted us every morning with a smile and our cups of coffee and gave us great places to visit in Charleston. Woodys was actually the best tasting food on the resort and it was nicely decorated for the holidays.”

“We were there on Sept 12th about 5pm.... the restraunt is so busy during regular dinner hours (understandable because the food is delicious) .... my advice is to try going on off hours ... because the server staff is so over-stimulated with too many customers/tables to handle during the heavily trafficked dinner rush ... however we were pleasantly surprised to discover that the kitchen does a great job of taking the time to make each dish deliciously perfect even in the face of overcrowded chaos ... thank you to the boathouse kitchen staff for making our meal perfect when the rest of the house was going crazy”

“Dinner at The Oystercatcher was a standout experience. Elevated coastal cuisine that honors the ingredients without overcomplicating them. The space is refined but relaxed, with a calm atmosphere and thoughtful attention to detail.
We started with PEI oysters, impeccably fresh and served on ice with elegant accompaniments. The ceviche was bright and clean, balanced perfectly between citrus and spice. A surprise favorite was the hummus, which leaned savory and earthy with warm pita and seasonal garnishes. It was a smart twist on a familiar classic.
The roasted beet salad was generous and visually striking, showcasing the kitchen’s eye for color and texture. For mains, the whole branzino was a showstopper. Crisp skin, tender flesh, and a light herbal oil that complemented without overpowering. The skirt steak was rich, deeply flavorful, and perfectly cooked, paired with a bold jus and well-roasted vegetables. The roasted chicken was a quiet triumph. Juicy, aromatic, and rustic in the best way.
Service was polished, attentive, and informed. Each course was timed well and delivered with confidence.
This isn’t just a resort restaurant. It’s a place worth seeking out whether you’re staying at Wild Dunes or just passing through. Chef Austin Blake is doing thoughtful, ingredient-driven work that stands on its own.”
