“We had an amazing lunch today at Smugglers. The food and drinks were great. However, what really impressed me was the customer service. A customer came in and requested a wine that they did not have. one of the bartenders ran out and bought a bottle so this woman could enjoy the drink she wanted. Who does that?!? The bartender at Smugglers, that's who.“

“First review from around march 2023:
Food was extremely cold, and bland, only received half our order and gave up on any thought of getting the rest because it took over an hour and a half to get the bit we did and there were only a handful of people in there, I can't imagine it being busy.
Things we tried:
Fried mushrooms 2/5
Fried porkchops 3/5 (only got one of the 2 we ordered)
Mac and cheese 1/5 (no flavor and ice cold)
Greenbeans 3/5 (just normal with no salt or seasoning whatsoever)

*New Review Edit for Aug 30, 2023*: I have since retried this place many times and the food seemed to have gotten better in consistency and flavor so I raised my ratings.
I would recommend: The mozzarella sticks, fried porkchops, and the handbreaded chicken tender app with fries :)“

“We have been visiting the southern for over a decade, and it remains one of the last few great Mt P dives with an excellent kitchen. The staff has always been amazing and attentive, even when things get a little wild late night. The fresh squeezed grapefruit and orange drinks are some of the cheapest in town, and they make one of the best cheesesteaks in the area. Highly recommend a visit if you like unpretentious spots with that local vibe. It looks like the business is being targeted by trolls who have never visited, but we can clearly say you should trust the locals. I have never been uncomfortable in there, but don’t walk in expecting a Hall’s experience. It’s a bar first, just with good food options.“
