“I highly recommend this place! Service is great! Staff was very friendly and helpful. The menu is amazing! We stopped in for breakfast and got distracted (in a good way) by the desserts! Everything looked so delicious. We opted for a light breakfast just so we could enjoy a cinnamon roll. And wow did we enjoy! It was soft, chewy, cinnamony with the perfect amount of glaze. I ordered bacon, egg and cheese on Texas toast.. DELICIOUS! My husband ordered sausage, egg and cheese on a croissant.. he said it was delicious as well. This is a cute place that smells of sweets and coffee! We will definitely return if we're in the area.“
“First time visit on a Thursday evening. Arrived and the bar area was full but only one table sat in the dining room. We were sat within a few minutes of arriving. It took a few minutes for our server to come get our drink order. We ordered two appetizers. The grouper bites were mostly breading with very little grouper. The fried green beans were very good. My filet was a little over cooked. My dates ribeye was cooked much better! Great environment and ambiance. Very cool outdoor area attached to the hotel and restaurant“
“For the 1st time ever, I was disappointed with food from Capt D. I had to wait for atleast 10 minutes in the drive thur for the person in front of me and then another 5 mins for my meal. One I had it, it was like putting $15 in the trash. I'm truly disappointed! I even took the pictures out of my phone. It was pointless to keep looking at those.“
“This store should be considered historic. I visited this store through my entire life, as well as my parents. We stopped here almost every time going to / from Lake City to home. The cooking is great. The atmosphere is calm and friendly. I would go out of my way to stop by this store, and would recommend to anyone passing by. Also, they are not self service gas, they pump it for you (for those of you who never had that, try it!). A+, would highly recommend!“

“A jewel of a place in an area you may not expect to be. Who ever is revitalizing Lake City they are doing a fantastic job..20 years ago this is not what I would have expected..now I truly want to come back and hang out for awhile and enjoy the town and what it's got to offer. This is a great place to stay and eat and a great place to rest after a long day. Great restaurant and bar..I will definitely be back with more time to be able to enjoy it more.“
