“This is your typical hole in the wall Chinese take out place but with THE BEST FOOD EVER. I have 2 orders I go back and forth between. 1) chefs special of pork lo mien or 2) an order of fried dumplings, an egg roll, and a small egg drop soup.

I give it a 4 on service just because the interaction is limited to picking up my food but I've never had an issue with anyone at the counter.

it gets a 3 on atmosphere just because there's not much to it but hey, I'm taking my food to go so I dont care how it looks on the inside as long as it's clean.

I travel about 25 minutes to get food from here when I am craving Chinese's food because it's just that good. Dont pass on this place. 10/10“

“The staff at Sassafras is one v of the nicest and most accommodating around. Ambiance is grat. Pricing is much better than a lot of better restaurants. “We finished a five day trip to Greenville by having dinner at Soby's. It was packed on a Friday night serving up their "reimagined" Southern Fare. Ordinarily, I would dive in and tell you about all the great food, instead I want to give props to the two line cooks working the Grill and Sautée stations in the kitchen. Our table on the second level looked right down the back (cooking) line. If you've watched The Bear television series you get to see a dramatized version of how a commercial kitchen operates. At Soby's we saw these two guys in action. A nine-steak order at four different temps, no problem. They mowed through an average of 9-10 tickets on the "rail" all night with God knows how many orders per ticket. Great job. Great job indeed! We started our dinner with the Mussles Mariniere sautéed in a bacon, leeks, Manzanilla sherry, cream. So good. I wish the chef would serve four pieces of toast with the dish so you could soak up more of the sauce. I had to try the She Crab Soup, as it is one of my favorites, and Soby's version with aged sherry bowled me over. For our entrees, our server suggested a combination of half portions of their Shrimp and Grits and Crab Cakes. Apparently my wife is not the only one who couldn't decide between the two, and thus a special was born. The crab cakes had a sweet corn maque choux and were served with haricots verts and a mashed potatoes, remoulade. From words on a menu to executed perfection it was a perfect blend of flavors. The shrimp and grits were good, not the best we have ever had, but again perfectly prepared. My entrée was the Braised Beef Short Rib served with mashed potatoes and a Black Garlic Molasses Jus. I watched my dudes on the line make over 20 of these before mine arrived at the table. Fork-tender, the meat had a great depth of flavor from its long journey of preparation. I ate every bite, OK except for the payback bites to my wife for sampling her special. We finished dinner with a piece of their Limoncello Cheese cake followed espressos and Ameretto. Our waitress was perfect all evening. She had a very busy section, but kept the coursing of dinner moving in a relaxed pace. We never felt rushed. Before I end, a word about wine at Soby's. When you arrive at the table, you are given a wine tome. Not a sheet of paper or a wine list you are used to seeing in most establishments. This was a tomb, bound in a metal cover. Soby's owner is a vinophile and has amassed over 2500 wines on the list, that is always changing as choices are enjoyed and more added. It really is quite a stunning list. So get you some Soby's if you're in town. It was a wonderful experience. You too can enjoy food bliss“

“Visiting Greenville for one night and needed a place to eat that we could walk from the hotel. After seeing reviews and asking about SBH BBQ, we went for dinner and were not disappointed. The Sweaty Pig sandwich was delicious and very filling. The chicken nachos had tons of toppings and were very flavorful. We also tried the briscuit/Mac n cheese egg roll and the sweet potato crunch. Again, delicious. April, our server, and Brock, the manager, were friendly and fun to talk to. From the time we walked in the door, we felt very welcome. If you get the chance to visit SBH, don’t miss out!“

“Liz Barwick and I were staying at a nearby hotel and decided to check out Giovanni's on a whim as it was a short walk away. What a fantastic decision this ended up being! There was a short wait for a table (less than half an hour) but that makes complete sense given the relatively small but very inviting interior space. It all feels very cozy and intimate. Service was excellent start to finish. The host made us feel welcome and accommodated, the Owner/Manager went over the specials and gave us a quick rundown on the options available, our server was prompt and very friendly, and we were never left wanting at any step in the experience. The food was all fantastic as well! We split an order of Calamari in sauce and fried mozzarella as a starter (both delicious) and for mains Liz had the Chicken Alfredo while I had a Mushroom and Truffle Ravioli special. Both of these were incredible and the ravioli dish was served with a flavorful oil and a small basket of bread to soak it up so as to not let a bit go to waste. We also had the Tiramisu as a takeout and it was on the same high level as everything else that we experienced! Overall I cannot recommend Giovanni's enough to anyone looking to have an intimate, traditional Italian experience in the Greenville area and will be coming again in the future!“

“This place is a common choice for lunch during workdays. Whether you want ramen, udon, bento box, sushi, or a rice dish, they have authentic Japanese food that is absolutely delicious. The waiters are always very kind and never forget to say hello when you come in and say goodbye when you leave. It's a cozy little place and I hope to try their dinner one day. “WOW! What a WONDERFUL restaurant in downtown Greenville!! My husband and I enjoyed a fabulous meal last night. We started with the lobster bisque and an order of hushpuppies which were both great. The crawfish etouffee and redfish stir fry entrees were generous portions and the beignets were the perfect ending after a fabulous meal. I loved that the waitress had a good concept of the menu to recommend my dish and she gave us a sample of the bisque before we ordered. The chef came by to see if everything was good. We WILL be back!“

“I was fortunate to have found Shoeless back in 2015 when my kid was doing karate next door. Although I live in Piedmont, Shoeless is and always will be my local (which as a British person is important). I bought my first brew kit here, celebrated a friend’s divorce here, have made wine here, and I can’t even tell you how many evenings and lunchtimes have been here. It’s welcoming, comfortable, and the owners and staff are very knowledgeable. It’s dog-friendly, and my kids have grown up here (don’t get me wrong, you’re not going to fight kids here). Brew-wise, I have tried a lot of breweries in the area over the years, and Shoeless remains my favourite. The selection is great, and although my partner and I have very different tastes, we’re both always happy. It’s just a good and welcoming place to be.“
