“Portion sizes are large. The hash has a tomato based sauce not a mustard one. It is a bit sweet, mellow, with a little tang. Not too acidic or overpowering. Pulled pork is nice and tender. Hush puppies have a pleasant crunchy outer crust and a soft fluffy center. Chicken is well cooked not dry. The tomato based barbecue sauce on the chicken is sweet and savory.They bring your plate out to you, refill your glasses, and treat you politely.”

A lady named Tamera helped me with my order and was so polite, and gave me better portions then I even expected! “Susie's is the best place to go in Sumter for the best Fried Turkey Wings, Soul Rolls (original creation of seasoned collard greens in a wrap), and Fried Chicken Wings served with your favorite sauce!The Fried Turkey Wings are usually very tender but this one was a little chewy! However, it was flavorful!The building where Susie's is located is small but clean. A one-person business can slow a business down serving just one customer at a time and one is waiting, me! That was the situation when I arrived to pick up my order that I had called in earlier. Very slow but exceptional, deliberate, and friendly service if you are willing to wait! I was willing to wait!BBQ mustard-based sauce is a delicious complement to the turkey wing pictured below. The sides I prepared (nothing wrong with Susie's) Couscous and Sweet Peas with 1/2 of a Susie's Soul Roll (on the house), my new boss's sugar cookie dessert and a spot of Goji Tea with honey! It was a day of giving and receiving!?I will support Susie's in the future!Parking: The parking spaces on the side of the building accommodate approximately 4-6 compact vehicles. Especially if you're one to go to the location on Alice Drive where it's much busier.I love that this location features a bagel sandwich, something that the location in Alice Drive doesn't have (listed on the menu) and something you don't see often down south. The sweets and smoothies are always good as well. The inside is as cozy as you could ask for in a cafe. Its convenient should you want to do some reading/remote work.And the staff are always really nice! Their service there is always some of the best I've received here in my short time here in Sumter.The only thing that bums me about this place is that they don't open on the weekend.”
