“Just moved here from Cincinnati, Ohio, and this was my first time checking the place out. Honestly, they do service the right way here. The bartenders and the owner have such great personalities, I felt comfortable right away. I tried the Negroni and wow—it was one of the most well-balanced ones I’ve ever had. Crazy thing is, it was on draft, but it tasted like it was made hand-to-hand. Easily the best Negroni I’ve ever had.

I didn’t eat food this time, but everything I saw coming out of the kitchen looked and smelled amazing. The chef clearly knows what he’s doing—pumping out beautiful dishes nonstop. Definitely feels like a safe space, and they sold me on the very first visit. Can’t wait to come back!“

“I'm still pinching myself after dining at Grandma's Kitchen! This soul food haven is a game-changer, and I'm not just saying that because the food is out of this world (although it totally is). The grandmas greeted us with big hugs and smiles, and it felt like we were sitting down to Sunday dinner at our own grandma's house. “I go to Longhorns every now and then and they are pretty consistent. The food is good and so is the service. The thing that set this one apart was the service wasn't just good it was exceptional! I am reviewing simply to brag on our waitress who's name is Zy. In these restraunts, during the summer, you often run into young wait staff who are still trying to figure things out in their profession and simply working a job to past time and get a check. I am unsure how old the young lady is (I assume early 20s) but she had the attitude and grace of the older wait staff you find at some of the finest restaurants. Respectful, knowledgeable, talked without slang, kind, accommodating, and it seemed genuine. She was busy but didn't seem overwhelmed. I don't know if she desires to stay in the restaurant business but, if she does, I hope she soon works with some of the elites of Charleston. Nothing against Longhorns, it was great! Food was quick, hot, and fresh. They are better than most when it comes to franchise restaurants. Zy, Thanks for somewhat restoring my hope in the younger generation. I hope you continued growth.“

“First time to Top Golf with a group from work, and it was AWESOME! All of us aren’t golfers, but what made the experience fantastic was our server, Peyton. He treats you like you’re at a 5 star establishment, and went above and beyond looking after us 9 adults and 3 toddlers. You can tell that Peyton will one day be the general manager of Top Golf, and then probably an owner. I only knew him for 2 hours, but I’d write a raving recommendation based on his communication, clarity, attentiveness to detail, friendliness, and efficiency. Truly a great experience due to Peyton’s excellent service. Well done!“

“What a wonderful stay we had at the North Charleston Marriott!! Jessica at the front desk is absolutely incredible!! She was very sweet, professional and accommodating to all the guests…a true gem! Housekeeping also did a great job and we love that they even offer housekeeping since some hotels don’t in these post-Covid days. This hotel is in a great location, just off I-26, close to the outlet stores and restaurants, but far enough away from all the traffic in that area. Our room was a King Junior Suite and it was very spacious, with one and a half bathrooms, and a comfortable couch. Not a lot of drawer storage for clothes (2 small drawers in the desk & 1 under the safe), but there was plenty of room to hang clothes to the left of the closet, so it all worked out. You can also hang some things in the small armoire/closet, but the items hang front to back, so it’s a little difficult to access things. The safe was plenty roomy and the bath and bed linens were nice. The bed is softer than our bed at home, but we both slept pretty well. We loved the walk-in shower and the water pressure and temperature were truly great! The bathrooms had built-in night lights behind the mirrors and the bed had this really cool ambient lighting above/behind the headboard that could be turned on or off. Lots of extra seating in this room with several chairs and the L shaped couch. The tv selection was just “ok”, in part because several of the channels, such as HGTV, did not come in. The wifi worked well at times, but no so well at other times. The AC worked well and there were plenty of places to charge your electronic devices. We ate dinner at the restaurant and Kelly & Becca were our severs on different nights. The food at the restaurant, HC Provisions, was excellent!! We had the wings, the chicken and waffles, the Caesar salad and the housemaid chips and they were all excellent! This hotel seems to be a popular venue for events. There was one going on Saturday night and we noticed several business functions going on during our stay as well. Crystal and Sheila were in the M Club Lounge at breakfast time and they were both great and did a great job of keeping everything well stocked. The breakfast offered scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, potatoes, yogurt, cereal, muffins and pastries, hot oatmeal and biscuits and gravy till 10am. During the rest of the day, you could pop in for coffee, water, sodas and juices as well as snacks such as chips and cookies. The evening offered hors d’oeuvres but the one night (Monday) we arrived at 7:20pm, everything was already being cleaned up, so I guess we missed it. The outdoor area offered a pool and two fire pit areas which would be great to sit and catch up with friends and family if you were here with a small group. We had such a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this hotel and we would stay here again.“

“Okay honest review time---(4.8 stars out of 5- but we can't do partial stars) I got the garlic parmesan wings and fries with the pineapple lemonade. The lemonade by itself is 10 stars, nice and sweet and refreshing!! The wings were great too, super flavor packed and crunchy!! The fries were the only real food complaint, cooked really well but no seasoning, not even salt. They tasted okay but I ended up dipping them in the garlic sauce to make them taste better. They also threw in a plantain and it was good too! Atmosphere is effected bc its a food truck but the lady in the truck was friendly and so polite!! Definitely recommend this place, so good!!“
