“We had a fabulous dinner last night. The service was outstanding and the staff were very attentive. We sat in the private room, which was wonderful. It even has its own bathroom!!!! The food was delicious. We ordered several appetizers before the entrees and all of them were wonderful. Everyone loved their entrees, even the kids!! They loved the rigatoni. Personally it’s been a challenge to find exceptional Italian in this area since moving from the North and this hit all the spots! Our favs were the focaccia, limone and Cesar salad, calamari, pollo al mattone, rigatoni, and the veal tenderloin. Next time we will make sure to eat outside. It’s really pretty and private. They have a grassy area where the kids can play and a fire pit. I highly recommend Abbraccis!

Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu, although our kids chose to eat from the main menu. There is an outdoor patio, we saw kids playing in the grassy area.“

“We had no reservations. Walked in, and the kitchen was only cooking orders that had already been placed. The chef/owner offered us seats at the bar and his special homemade pasta with meatballs for 2. The bartender was very attentive, funny accommodating and the food was amazing True Italian dishes. everyone we came in contact with with was friendly and accommodating“

“Do not sit upstairs!! It is boiling hot, too hot to eat Italian food. It was extremely disappointing because we called weeks ahead to reserve a table for 11 people to celebrate my daughter’s 16th birthday while on vacation. We were told there was a more private area upstairs, which sounded good! When we got there, it was 84 degrees upstairs with a very poor fan and what might have been a portable ac unit which didn’t help at all. We were not told in advance that there was no air conditioning upstairs or we definitely would NOT have chosen this restaurant. We were dressed up and sweating buckets, not at all enjoyable! Most of the food was pretty good. Just miserable experience that we were trying to make enjoyable to salvage our daughter’s birthday dinner.“

“Wanting to try something new for our anniversary, we decided to give this place a try on 3/31/23. Even though we didn’t have reservations, we were seated right away. We got the bread service & Mozzarella Frittos for starters…and WOW. AMAZING. They were both perfect. They are enough to be a meal alone! For dinner, he had the Veal Giuseppe and I had the Stuffed Ravioli with vodka sauce. There are not enough words to describe how amazing these dishes were. By far the best food we have had. At the first bite, there were literal tears in my eyes. The portions are HUGE as well. We fought the urge to polish off the dinners so we could have room for dessert. My husband had the Banana Pudding Cheesecake and I had the Peanut Butter Cheesecake. Again, both were perfect. The Banana Pudding Cheesecake was light, fluffy and flavorful. The Peanut butter Cheesecake was more dense but just as flavorful and amazing. I am not normally one to make reviews but I had to share the praises of this wonderful hidden gem. Can’t wait to go back!“

The owner was so gracious and basically made all of our app and entree suggestions so that they were a wide variety and all shareable! “Came for an early dinner with some friends before a show and was not disappointed. Located in a little pocket sort of near Hampton Park, expect to spend a minute circling the block to find parking. Renzo is unassuming but light and bright in a corner spot with tables and booths and a normal bar. We were early enough for unexpected Happy Hour specials (on a Saturday) and took full advantage - meatballs and discount cocktails. Meatballs were soft and moist and flavorful with 4 per order. Miso were better than the Roman (strong sauce with almost raw garlic) but we liked both. Drinks were all solid, from Happy Hour on. Get the guava-lychee drink. The rest of the menu is split into pizzas and not pizzas and we picked a few from both. The Caesar and most other dishes are perfectly portioned for one or to share amongst a table of four. We ended up having the Caesar, two “not pizzas”, the two orders of meatballs, and two pizzas and it was perfect for our group at a great price. Some dishes were a split like/don’t like (lemony potatoes & desserts), but as a whole we didn’t have a bad bite. A great spot for a little less than a la fancy pizza & pasta dinner, Renzo delivers.

“We booked the private room above Vincent Chico’s restaurant for our company meeting. It was an incredible experience. The staff was on top of it with service and communication. The food was also very good. Sometimes, when you have a family style meal, the dishes will not come out at the right temperature. All of our meals came out hot and ready to eat. I was very impressed by the flavor of the food. We had -salad -bruschetta -seared salmon -roasted chicken -seasonal pasta -roasted fingerling potatoes -sautéed spinach -cheesecake bites We also had our own bar upstairs so wine and cocktails were available. It was a great night, and everyone enjoyed themselves. I will definitely recommend and use the space again in the future.“

“First let me say, the pizza was delicious!! Thin, crispy crust…the kind of yumminess you get from a wood burning oven. The perfect amount of cheese, sauce, and flavor. I don’t know what it’s like normally, but it was very slow and I for sure thought that the service would have been better…it was meh. Pretty cool atmosphere, but I was sitting at the bar and I can’t say I appreciated the bartender coming on duty spraying cleaning supplies and pouring bleach while I sat there. Don’t get me wrong, I love the smell of cleat, but I don’t enjoy inhaling the cleaning spray while I eat. If I come back, I’ll sit at a table to enjoy a delicious pizza.“

“Food was good- pepperoni and basil on gluten free crust & another pepperoni on regular crust. Pizza is wood fired and has that thin crust, rustic, floury thing going on. The kids tried the hot honey on theirs and loved it! The meat and cheese board was good as well. We went on a weekend and there was competing music between here and the bar across the street, lots of people, lots of kids playing on the playground in the seating area.

“I have traveled to Charleston frequently over the past 5 years and this place is always on my list for my sons and I to dine at. Giovanni is very personable and always has remembered me and that is something you don’t get everywhere. I may live 1200 miles from this place but it sure feels like home when I go in for a slice.
