“We ate here this past Saturday night, 4/20/24. Kelly was our waitress and she did super. The Lake House is an extremely popular restaurant on a Saturday night. We have eaten here before and typically know what to expect. The seating time was approx. an hour as we were told. The food wait time was over an hour which was surprising. Our table had a seafood platter, prime rib, and two steaks. All were great and Kelly did a great job.“

“This was our first time trying it tonight after living in Manning for over a year and I regret not trying it sooner! Incredible sea food. Huge portions. Very well spiced. “Our waitress Denise was so nice! I had the bbq sandwich, It was very good!! My dad had the shrimp and grits which he loved!! Mom had the fried clams, she was not impressed. The serving was very small and they were too greasy. But overall it was a good experience and we will be back!“

“If ever in SC, stop by Alleanas, Tim the owner cooks up some tasty food, the catfish was moist n very good, cooked just right, Sweet juicy shrimp ?, the fried okra, n 5 cheese n mac was the bomb. “We loved our stay at Clark’s Inn. The rooms were nice and clean. Very dog friendly. Free breakfast was also included for each morning. We ate breakfast everyday, and ate dinner one night. The food was amazing and service was spectacular. If we ever come back this way we will definitely stay here again.“

“After seeing the reviews, I was a little hesitant. We arrived in to town on a Friday night and decided we better make reservations just in case. Good thing we did because it filled fast. My husband opted for chicken parmigiana which came with a salad which he said was really good. I had prime rib which also came with a choice of baked or sweet potato and a salad. It was delicious, cooked perfectly, and tender. The wait staff was on top of everything. From bussing tables, providing service and delivering food- it was top notch.“

“My first time visiting this restaurant. I was taken aback when I first walked in because the decor of the restaurant looked like a vintage thrift store. However, I decided to give it a shot. There were some great menu choices. I ordered the fried green tomatoes with shrimp and my boyfriend ordered baby back ribs. Oh, and the sweet tea was good too. Everything was good including the server. She was very personable. I will comeback. I am just curious as to who the cooks are, they cook like my family members cooked their soul food.“

“The CLARK'S INN is a local historic icon which has stood like a gem among the encroaching hustle and bustle of the "modern " world. It is an absolutely marvelous repite for anyone heading north or coming south on the I-95!I have not had the pleasure of staying here (their Bed & Breakfast stay packages look reasonable) but every chance I get I stop to stroll through their fascinating gift shop, beautiful old hallways and relish in their antique dining areas.The bar had the friendly and efficient PAM (THANKS!!!) who brought out a delicious chicken salad sandwich on a crispy ciabatta bun. This filled me up and I could only have a bit of the delicious APPLE CRISP which I finished later from my take-away box.(THANK YOU CHEF and the kitchen staff!!!)SO happy this place has survived all these years, and especially after the COVID problems. “We pulled off many exits trying to find somewhere good to eat on our travel. Well this is the place! We had such a great time, that we will make sure we can hit it on the way back. Even met the Owner. Very nice man! Food and drinks were excellent! Wait staff was excellent! Prices were great! Definitely need to put this place on your list!“
