“Food - Great!, Time to get it - Terrible. Came in to order take out Sunday evening at 5:53pm, did not get the order brought out UNTIL 6:33 pm (35MINUTES for 2 dinners, both a Teriyaki.) ALSO, Menu for Teriyaki Shrimp (small) said $12.00, BUT the charge was $15.00. When I asked about that they said, sorry - misprint. Come on.“

We ordered the chicken and steak hibachi with a side of spring rolls. Everything was fresh, hot, flavorful, and made to order. But those spring rolls… 🤤 Let me just say, they were worth the 9-hour drive all by themselves!

It’s not often you stumble across a restaurant that exceeds your expectations, but this one definitely did. Great food, cozy atmosphere, and a little gem we’re so glad we found.

“Outstanding ramen, sushi and other goodies. The pork buns are tasty and the takoyaki was superb.“

“Overall, the food was very filling, very tasty, and the presentation was especially nice.

I had the curry ramen which was very rich, bold, and really packed a punch of flavor. My wife got the classic ramen, which was much more mild in flavor, but adding chili oil to it helped.

The classic ramen came with pretty large, thick pieces of chashu pork that were so tender, your lip could bite through it, and it felt like it melted on your palette, very good stuff.

The curry ramen came with ground pork, which I know isn't uncommon to get in some types of ramen in Japan and I wanted to try it. Throughout eating the bowl, the ground pork was distributed pretty evenly in the noodles you slurp up, so you get some consistently in most of your bites. Now that I have tried it, I do think I like the bigger pieces of pork in my ramen. It wasn't bad at all though, just preference. If I hadn't gotten the curry ramen I think I would have disliked this spot for how mild-tasting the classic ramen was.

We also ordered multiple other small dishes to really try out a diverse selection of what Itto Ramen Bar has to offer. We ordered the takoyaki, the pan-fried pork gyoza, the pork buns, and the tuna samba.

The takoyaki came out a little dark which effected the taste negatively, but they weren't bad.

The gyoza were tasty, but I find that gyoza, no matter where you go, is usually about the same flavor and quality.

I was happy to see steamed pork buns on the menu, I don't see them offered at many places and I really enjoyed them, though the amount of bbq chashu pork in them was a bit disappointing. The acid of the yuzu sauce that accompanies them cut through the richness of the pork, but it was a little sour at times due to there being a smaller amount of pork than I believe was needed inside them.

Finally, the tuna samba, which is raw tuna wrapped peppers with masago and a spicy sauce; I didn't eat any of them as my wife was the one interested in ordering them, she seemed to really enjoy them though and was praising the presentation and flavor combination presented by the dish.

The price of everything was a little high in my opinion, I have gone to other ramen joints that charge less for their food and still manage to package great flavor and quality along with the lower price tag.

Though not the absolute best ramen I've ever had, Itto Ramen Bar is the first place I have ever found a curry ramen to try, and it did not disappoint.“

What makes this place better than most is their take out, not because they are perfect, but because when they mixed up our bags, they called us to tell us they did not give us one of our bags!“

I would be totally remiss if I didn't specifically mention bar manager Matt and his team behind the bar. Also, everything I've tried off the menu is high-grade and fresh! That's a must for me. As to other regular customers, and just my observation, but like me, they appear to have found a home away from home; a place to be comfortable, chill and let the time spent make a bad day better. I almost never take the time to give a review and especially a compliment; as I sometimes look for the negatives, as it is always so easy to criticize. So, as a native Greenvillian and business (person); and someone who believes and enjoys a five ***** experience that is reasonably priced, give Otto Izakaya a try. Whether you live in the area, or are simply visiting, when you leave you will already be thinking about when you can do this again! If you enjoy an adult beverage, be sure and stop by the bar and ask for Matt, as this master mixologist will want to know exactly what you're looking for. The atmosphere was very upscale, but being casually dressed in blue jeans and t-shirts, we still felt very comfortable and welcome. I had the Hibachi Chicken Plate, and she had the Steak Hibachi. We split our Sushi: the “IBM Roll” and “BMW Roll” and words cannot describe how fresh and delectable everything tasted. We were astounded at the quality of food, the speed of service, the friendliness of service and it was like the cook was professionally-trained. “I met a friend here on Friday for lunch. This place came recommended highly for great Chinese in Greer. Looked over the reviews and knew what I wanted. I ordered the crab rangoon and they were hot and delicious! Bourbon chicken lunch special as my entree and my friend said they had philly cheesesteak egg rolls so I got one of those to try. Wasn't impressed with the egg roll but that bourbon chicken was absolutely delicious! Mixing the rice in with the extra sauce is the way to go!

The owner is super sweet and her staff are fantastic. Restaurant is clean and very well ran. I look forward to coming back!

Tokyo Grill greets you like a neon wink on a Tuesday night. The doors slide open and—whoosh—soy sauce, sizzling garlic, and ambition hit you in the face like a culinary pep talk. The grill hisses. The spatulas tap-dance. Somewhere, a shrimp achieves liftoff and lands with the confidence of a gymnast sticking the dismount.

Mini-scene: I’m seated at the edge of the action. The chef builds a tower of onion rings, lights it up, and suddenly we’re all gathered around a tiny edible campfire. A kid gasps. “I love Joy of Tokyo to begin with. However, this one is exceptional. I came in and communicated that I wasn’t able to read the menu (I just had to move down the counter a little bit in order to see better and said this to make me walking away a bit less awkward). The kind guy at the front voluntarily started explaining the menu and reading each item very professionally, respectfully, and patiently. I was blown away by the kind gesture, which is the essence things that make dining anywhere a stellar experience.

“This place is amazing! The food is extremely fresh and you have so many options to choose from to create your most perfect poke bowl. They have Signature Bowls you can choose from if you aren’t trying to make all those decisions in your first poke bowl experience. The gentleman that helped us was extremely helpful and really wanted us to enjoy our experience there by allowing us complete control of what we created as our meal. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! P.S they have the best Mochi Ice Cream ever. “Hard to go wrong here. Can watch them make your food through a nice little window. Quality of food is good. I'd suggest substituting the ginger sauce for the shrimp sauce. I believe personally has a lot more flavor and definitely has a lot of this calories.“

“Kanpai Of Tokyo - Greenville, SC has been a family tradition for birthday dinners for over 2 decades. This year as soon as we ordered I let them know that we some dietary restrictions (eggs for me, gluten for my young child). I told the server my daughter couldn’t have soy sauce thinking it would be easier than explaining gluten free/celiac. The server responded asking if she needed gluten free. When the chef came over he cleaned the grill and made my daughter’s food first to ensure there was no cross contamination. The server brought our salads out and the chef quickly stopped him from handing my daughter her salad with ginger dressing informing me that it had gluten in it and asking if ranch was ok instead. He realized after cooking her food that he had cracked an egg on the grill for my daughter’s food and apologized and cleaned the grill again before cooking my food. He also made sure to tell me which sauces contained gluten to keep my daughter safe. This was by far the most stellar service we have had in a restaurant since her celiac diagnosis and we will definitely be back“
