She was very quick with responses to all of my questions and made helpful suggestions to me. Our table ordered Sea Food, Lamb, and Vegetarian Dishes and everyone was beautifully presented and delicious. The Appetizers looked like they belonged in a magazine and were delicious as well! “We finished a five day trip to Greenville by having dinner at Soby's. It was packed on a Friday night serving up their "reimagined" Southern Fare. Ordinarily, I would dive in and tell you about all the great food, instead I want to give props to the two line cooks working the Grill and Sautée stations in the kitchen. Our table on the second level looked right down the back (cooking) line. If you've watched The Bear television series you get to see a dramatized version of how a commercial kitchen operates. At Soby's we saw these two guys in action. A nine-steak order at four different temps, no problem. They mowed through an average of 9-10 tickets on the "rail" all night with God knows how many orders per ticket. Great job. Great job indeed! We started our dinner with the Mussles Mariniere sautéed in a bacon, leeks, Manzanilla sherry, cream. So good. I wish the chef would serve four pieces of toast with the dish so you could soak up more of the sauce. I had to try the She Crab Soup, as it is one of my favorites, and Soby's version with aged sherry bowled me over. For our entrees, our server suggested a combination of half portions of their Shrimp and Grits and Crab Cakes. Apparently my wife is not the only one who couldn't decide between the two, and thus a special was born. The crab cakes had a sweet corn maque choux and were served with haricots verts and a mashed potatoes, remoulade. From words on a menu to executed perfection it was a perfect blend of flavors. The shrimp and grits were good, not the best we have ever had, but again perfectly prepared. My entrée was the Braised Beef Short Rib served with mashed potatoes and a Black Garlic Molasses Jus. I watched my dudes on the line make over 20 of these before mine arrived at the table. Fork-tender, the meat had a great depth of flavor from its long journey of preparation. I ate every bite, OK except for the payback bites to my wife for sampling her special. We finished dinner with a piece of their Limoncello Cheese cake followed espressos and Ameretto. Our waitress was perfect all evening. She had a very busy section, but kept the coursing of dinner moving in a relaxed pace. We never felt rushed. Before I end, a word about wine at Soby's. When you arrive at the table, you are given a wine tome. Not a sheet of paper or a wine list you are used to seeing in most establishments. This was a tomb, bound in a metal cover. Soby's owner is a vinophile and has amassed over 2500 wines on the list, that is always changing as choices are enjoyed and more added. It really is quite a stunning list. So get you some Soby's if you're in town. It was a wonderful experience. You too can enjoy food bliss“

“First off, great staff!! They are very friendly, attentive, and accommodating.You are always greeted with a smile. The food is absolutely delicious. I always get at least 2 dozen raw oysters to start with a side of their cheesy grits, that taste like they came from my grandma's kitchen. I've been going there for years and have enjoyed every meal from sushi to steak, to smothered chicken to scallops. The food is phenomenal. Clearly the chefs take pride in every meal they prepared. Delicious food, portioned and priced right. The GBOH never disappoints. The backbone of the operation is Diane & Katie. They are always there and make you feel like family. “This place is amazing! The food is extremely fresh and you have so many options to choose from to create your most perfect poke bowl. They have Signature Bowls you can choose from if you aren’t trying to make all those decisions in your first poke bowl experience. The gentleman that helped us was extremely helpful and really wanted us to enjoy our experience there by allowing us complete control of what we created as our meal. “I should have posted here years ago. I have just read the reviews for the first time at the time of my writing this review.I know that I am recognized there and I recognize some of the employees. I have purchased from here many times and many different types fish and shellfish. Usually, I am getting sashimi grade Ahi and Mahi, which has always been outstanding. I let them know what I intend on making and the shape and sizes prepared for me have been thought out.Always great quality and great prices. I'm buying for myself not a restaurant. I like that I don't have to purchase large quantities or whole fish.I call ahead and get my order prepared sometimes a day ahead, sometimes the same day. I'm not a restaurant so I understand that they are really doing me a service; I am not keeping them in business. Many wholesalers in the industry don't want to deal with the public for the very reason that is expressed in some of the negative reviews. Fisherman can't always go out, they don't always catch what they want or know how much they'll catch. The markets don't always have what you want because they only have fresh catches. Big orders and regular customers come first. And if you are willing to eat fish that has been out of the water for days - go to the supermarket. The staff has always been polite and appropriate; I don't actually want a hug or need a new BFF. I want fish fit for making my own sushi and I have been using the fish from G.U.S.T.O. at least three meals a week.“

“WOW! What a WONDERFUL restaurant in downtown Greenville!! My husband and I enjoyed a fabulous meal last night. We started with the lobster bisque and an order of hushpuppies which were both great. The crawfish etouffee and redfish stir fry entrees were generous portions and the beignets were the perfect ending after a fabulous meal. I loved that the waitress had a good concept of the menu to recommend my dish and she gave us a sample of the bisque before we ordered. The chef came by to see if everything was good. We WILL be back!“

“My husband and I come here at least once a month (if not more) for the quesabirria, spicy queso and margaritas! Gina is our server everytime and she is the absolute best, we absolutely love her. She always knows our order my heart and checks in frequently to make sure we're stocked on chips, drinks & have everything we need. Everyone here works as a team helping deliver chips and salsa, salt and pepper, water and napkins from the moment you sit down. You walk in and they're so welcoming and excited to see you! Gina invited us to the salsa night they had and it was an amazing experience! I literally tell everyone I know to come here and they always tell me how much they loved it.

When my husbands grandmother passed away, we started searching for a place that could replicate her cooking and this place was it. Authentic Mexican recipes made with love & by amazing people. This restaurant started as a tester and ended up our favorite place for food, company, service & date night.

“My wife and I have lived in South Korea and we highly recommend this restaurant. The food is authentic but not as spicy (to accommodate US sensitive palates). If you want it spicy, you can order this option and let your waiter/ess know.

The service is exceptional (compliments to Ma and Natalia) and we feel like family every time we eat there. The kimchi is delicious and you can order a jar to go if you are so inclined.“

“One of the best dining experiences we have ever had. The atmosphere is wonderful. We started with an appetizer of the thick cut bacon which was to die for. Followed up by the New York Strip which was cooked to perfection, and possibly the most flavorful steak I’d ever eaten. We usually do not get desert, but everything so far was so delicious that we could not pass it up. We tried the white chocolate banana cream pie and the butter cake, and an espresso martini. OMG is all I can think to say. Stefan was our waiter, and he was amazing with his detailed descriptions and recommendations. We will definitely be back, and will hopefully be waited on by Stefan again.“

“A solid bistro. The onion rings stand out, among the best I've had - beautifully seasoned, crisp outside, tender and sweet inside. The made-for-you potato chips are really good and non-greasy, but could have used more salt (or something).

Be warned. The portions are enormous. I found myself begging for mercy from the mushroom and bacon burger. My wife had a dinner salad with chicken. She can murder a salad, but even she left some greens on the plate. We're old and our appetites have diminished a bit, but I haven't tried to eat that much since college. Mercy.

The prices are a bargain, if you consider what you get. Service is friendly and professional.“

“We come here almost every month on a Sunday and we took my mom here 3-4 times when she was here visiting from the Philippines. Today, it was just me, my husband and my kids as my mom already went back home. The server immediately asked and mentioned my mom (saying something like Mama is not here today?). It was really sweet and impressive that they recognized and noticed the customers. Plus the food is really good, my youngest daughter always asks after church to come here for fried fish. Highly recommended!“

“When my husband and I were first dating, he took me to India Palace on a date. Nine years later, we still eat here and absolutely love it. The Indian spiced sweet tea is outstanding and flavored so well. My favorite dish to get is the is either the shrimp or lamb saag with garlic cheese naan. On the menu they have either garlic naan or cheese naan but you can ask for the combo. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys Indian food or wants to try it out for the first time. Keep in mind it is a bit pricey so plan for about $25-30 per person for an appetizer, entree, and drink.“
