“I am born and raised in Philly so I am critical of a "Philly cheesesteak". had a Steph's Steak today for the first time and it tasted like home! the nailed some of the little details like using American cheese and mixing it in with the meat instead of just on the bun. Definitely recommend and will return!“

“Always a nice meal here. Our server Hali was very attentive and helpful. We skipped apps, and our salads were fresh and tasty. My 7oz filet was cooked perfectly (blue, the way I like it, and few restaurants get it right). The risotto was creamy and the broccoli rabe was nicely seasoned and not over cooked. The Cab Franc paired perfectly with my entree. My partner got the swordfish that was also perfectly cooked and well seasoned. The chips and guacamole really didn’t add anything to the dish, however, but it was fine. The dry Riesling was a nice pairing with this. We were seated not too far from the bar area. We forgot about Jazz on the Ally Thursday nights so it was packed and the bar area started to become very loud. Unfortunately there are quite a few privileged people in this area that feel being publicly drunk and obnoxiously loud is acceptable, even in a nicer restaurant. This isn’t the restaurants’ fault but it certainly impacts the quality of the atmosphere. Even Hali offered us a free dessert to make up for the interruption it caused, but we paid for our desserts anyway. We did suggest that there be automatic sliding doors fitted so that the noise could be contained in the bar area leaving the diners to enjoy their meals. Our desserts were also delightful. We had the banana brûlée and strawberry brûlée. Overall it was a very nice meal with very good service (which is hard to come by in this area).“

“I have NEVER been disappointed with Lucky Strike of Westminster! I'm always served a perfect cheeseburger.....I always order " double the cheese" and, boy ! Yum! My favorite server always remembers without my asking, " cut that baby in half and plenty of napkins" Is your mouth watering yet?......mine is!! “

“I think that I have eaten at most of the Mexican restaurants in the area and I can say hands down, this place serves the best chicken fajitas and it is not even close. From the outside this place does not stand out enough and that concerns me. Food is just outstanding, but they need more visibiity“

“This location is really in need of a good, thorough cleaning and maintenance regime. Really showing and feeling its age. The bar area is where we prefer to sit and everything just feels sticky. The tables, booths, menus, everything needs a thorough cleaning and inspection. The padding in the booths is worn out and needs replacing. I am not sure what kind of bun the burgers are being served with now but they need to go back to the old ones! And where are the collards?!! They need had great collards but have gone to broccoli. Broccoli!! We want our collards!!“

“Always a pleasure to stop by when I'm on a river trip. Haven't eaten anything from there yet, but I did a little breakfast cooking in the back yard when I stayed with a friend in one of the cabins in back. Went back another time in a camper. Nice place and nice accommodations. Music and fun in the mountains.“

“Applebee's Grill + Bar has honestly had quite the transformation over the years. I remember when it had a pretty rough reputation locally — service was inconsistent, the food wasn’t great, and overall it just wasn’t a place people were excited about. It had that “we only go here if we have to” kind of feel.
But fast forward to now, and it’s a completely different experience. Over the last couple of years, I’ve been there multiple times, and most visits have been genuinely solid. The food has improved a lot — hot, fresh, and actually enjoyable — and the overall experience feels way more put together than it used to be.
Every now and then, sure, something might come out a little off or not quite right, but that’s become the exception rather than the rule. Most of the time, everything hits the way it should, and the consistency is night and day compared to how it used to be.
The staff has also been noticeably friendlier and more attentive, which makes a big difference. You can tell the place has made real improvements in how it’s run and how customers are treated.
Overall, it’s gone from a place with a pretty rough reputation to somewhere I actually don’t mind going back to. It’s not perfect — no restaurant is — but when it’s good, it’s really good, and these days it usually is. Definitely glad to see the change, and I hope it keeps going in that direction.“

“The staff was really sweet and had a smile on their face constantly. The inside was clean and full of clemson memorabilia and photos and as an advent clemson fan.. I loved. The food was amazing and pretty affordable. I truly dont understand how it wasnt busier than it was with the prices and food. All in all we got 4 hot dogs, fries and drinks totalling around $22 which is amazing for all that. If you like hot dogs and havent tried them yet I fully recommend it“

“The absolute best Waffle House I’ve ever been to. Wonderful, friendly staff, clean restaurant, and fast service. The food was excellent; I sat at the bar and watched the staff work as a team, like a well oiled machine. It’s truly rare in today’s time to see a team like the one I witnessed this morning. 10/10 recommend.“

“Eat here almost every Friday. Food is really good and the staff sometimes work short handed and they work hard to take care of everyone in a timely fashion. I thank each of you for your service.“

“Wow!! We arrived late to the restaurant, was told it would be a wait for food. The service was amazing, the food was a bit of a wait, but after such a beautiful day at the lake, the restaurant was very busy. We appreciated the hospitality and kindness of the staff. Our food came out hot, even though we had to wait. The staff set the appropriate expectations, as we overheard similar conversations.
Way to go Keowee Shores (tiki hut) keep up the great work.“

“Very lively venue with reasonable prices for food and drinks. Jordan was a great bartender and Diane was wonderful as she put up with my messing around with her about the menu and why my visiting brother got the opportunity to pay for our drinks and meals instead of me as host. Our group was all very happy with their meals, and Britain(sp?) was very friendly and helped us loosen our lines and back out of the dock. All in all a very enjoyable experience.“

“As a wife of an engineer in the Nuclear Power industry I know first hand what it's like to live in a hotel for months on end. Many of his crew works night shift and Jim has been there himself. You get off work at 4 or 5 am and nothing is open. You can't shut your stomach off so you're left with gas station or vending machine food. Very small refrigerators in the hotel rooms so you can't stock up on much other than some deli meat and cheese. Yesterday while visiting my husband on the road, we stopped at one of our favorite places in Seneca The Spot on the Alley. They were closed, or so we thought. Just as we turned to walk away from the locked door a man came and unlocked it. He let us in and explained they were just finishing up a few renovations. He kept apologizing and if we didn't mind them cleaning up they could serve us shortly. He said they were running odd hours due to the outage and decided to get a few things done in between the busy hours. I told him we just wanted to get an appetizer as we already had dinner plans but we were hungry and it would be a few hours before we were able to eat. He served us a big bowl of queso and fresh chips. I ordered a drink from the bar and we sat and talked quietly watching them work to get things put away. So the man came back and handed us a menu and invited us to come back the next morning. Come to find out they open early for the outage workers. The Spot on the Alley opens at 5 am during outage season for night shift to be able to get something hot to eat after a long night of hardwork. I just have to mention how nice I think it is. The man did tell me he only purchased The Spot on the Alley a few months prior. We have so much respect for these little towns who host hundreds of Plant workers a few months out of the year. Not to many businesses take into account the shifts these men and women work and their sacrifices and the odd shifts often times put their good health into question. So thank you for opening early for night shift. Don't know who will see it but here's the menu.“

“Came through earlier today around 12:30 and was throughly impressed. Staff was working through a rush right after we arrived but handled it flawlessly. The waitresses had the perfect amount of southern style witty banter that I love to see not only with customers but with their coworkers as well giving a good overall atmosphere all around. An additional star of the show was the cooks. Both cooks worked really well together showing not only experience but skill. Drop timings were spot on to make sure everything came off at the right time for a full hot meal. Right as I was thinking it was time for a drop they matched my thought and it was down. An added bonus is the coffee was perfect , not burnt, and enjoyable without cream or sugar which is not something that many places around here do well!
This was a solid show of teamwork and effort, keep it up because y'all are doing great!“
