“Stepping into the Diving Elk, you feel sophisticated. This gem is one of Sioux City's best as far as restaurants and bars go in the area with an evolving, seasonal menu that will make you want to try something new every time you visit! Don't sleep on the classics like the truffle fries and brussel sprouts though, there's a reason those always stay. Also try out their weekend specials! After your visit, you'll know why this place consistently has a "Siouxland's Best Bar Tender" nominee. They are experts in their craft with an incredible selection of cocktails and craft beers. Sioux City is lucky to have such a trendy, vibrant spot for the foodies out here.“

“Just had the best Thai food of my life in Sioux City...can't believe I just wrote that. Walking into Diamond Thai you slightly wonder if you made a mistake but immediately after the first bite I knew it was our best choice in a long time. I had the Bha Mee Patt, basically a chicken and shrimp stir fry...unreal, easily the table favorite. My wife had the Spicy Wok Noodle, also good. We also shared chicken fried rice. Long story short, definitely go here and definitely order the Bha Mee Patt. My only regret is not finding this place sooner.“

“Dylan was a great server, very personable and attentive but not overly. Our favorite on the sushi menu is the Bamboo Bites. The Firecracker Shrimp is very good as well. We come here quite often and I don't think we've ever had anything bad. That said, the spicy tuna didn't live up to expectations but that's a personal texture decision.“

“I love Monterrey. Very affordable. I love how they have two locations on two sides of Sioux City, it’s very easy to access. I get the Beef Classic fajitas. Never can go wrong with their cheese dip! Tastes perfect with their chips and I even put some over my fajitas too! Very fast as well!“

“A special thank you to all the employees and especially to the owners for all that they do. The food and hospitality is always amazing. I also want to thank them very much for all they do for the people of their community as well. Thank you for everything back in November for the dinner where we honored our dads life. We were allowed to enjoy the dinner in one of their party rooms. My family and I truly appreciate it. Thank you. Also, try the street tacos and the jalapeño poppers… you won’t regret it 😉.“

“My husband, child & I had never been to Opa Time. We moved here in Summer of 2020. I heard the “devastating” outcry from the public when the fire happened & how they wanted it back and they’d miss it and everything so forth. I thought it was horrible that it happened for the owners & hoped they had insurance. Come to the re-opening I hear about people wrapped around the building & how they don’t have a big enough parking lot & how it was blocking off traffic because so many people wanted to go to opa time to try their food. I thought hmm this much be some good stuff. I better wait until the hype settles and give them a shot. Brings me to tonight when we went in at just the right time. Not a sole was in the restaurant. No drive thru, nothing. We got our food brought out to us by a very nice man. It was probably the best fast food establishment I’ve seen in my life. And I think Jim’s burger is pretty great on Pierce. It suddenly got so busy and in the rain the man went out to get someone’s order so it would be ready by the time they got to the window. Talk about top notch service. Five stars isn’t enough!!! We will be back & with TIP money next time because they deserve it.“

“I don't leave reviews... but here we are. I'm From San Francisco, grew up in the mission and love food. I'd stack up these tacos to anything I've had back home, San Diego or Mexico. Great meats, their pastor is my favorite. Whenever I visit my in laws this is my new spot. I've been coming to Sioux City for 15 years now and this is by dar the best Mexican I've had here.“

“I love this place, my family has been ordering Jerry's for many years. I usually order and tip the most at this specific restaurant because they're always so kind and happy to serve our community. Love the local appreciation! Today I called to order and the young lady said they cannot deliver to me today because her driver is unavailable and if needed she could ask another driver to come. I was shocked. I said I don't care who delivers it, and I asked her for her name. She wouldn't give it to me. So I hung up. Very strange, I almost thought I was calling a chain/franchise company!!“

“Best noodles ive ever bad tbh, my favorite item is the thai wok noodle. Give it a shot if you want a nice humble hot meal for the soul. The service is always warm and welcome. Petes thai is an 11/10 spot for anyone lookin for a good bite to eat.“

“Our waitress was super sweet Ashtyn (not sure if correct spelling) and even though my side of mac n chz and shrimp was on the colder side everything tasted amazing. The manager came after waitress asked if all was okay , it tasted great just not very warm, and Ahe apologized. I feel he over did making things right but appreciated. I told him too everything was great just not very warm which I get “it happens”. Hubbies food was perfect. Everything else was great and will go back again. Nobody is perfect and it’s super busy I am understanding and patient everyone is short staffed and over worked“

“I felt like I had stepped back into an old bar/restaurant from the 1930's. It was overly warm in the restaurant. I was more interested in drinking my ice water than drinking my glass of pop. I got a rubien sandwich which was very good. I also got a bowl of chili. To my surprise, I found there were jalapeños in it. That was fine with me though I and I assume others would prefer to know this prior to ordering. The chili was also very meaty with few beans. The waitress was very nice and did a great job. Be prepared. If you need to use the restroom you will need to walk into the basement via a stairway which may make it difficult for elderly or intoxicated patrons.“

“The food is great but the lady was rude. I ordered personal size pizza and when I get there she hands me a family sized pizza and says that’s what I ordered. They usually want you to order the family sized pizza in person not over the phone . So overall she made a mistake and tried to blame me for it .“

“Wow! We had an awesome experience at Red Robin! Our family of 6 had never been to RR before, but we thought we'd try it tonight. We were so impressed by the service. Our waitress, Danni, was the best waitress we have had in a long time. She was fun, energetic, and very responsive. She went out of her way to make our experience memorable. We love her personality! Matthew was also very kind and helpful. We will definitely come back! Thanks for a fun night! (What a great way to end our night celebrating our son's 16th birthday.)“

“We decided to try P’s Pizza again. We had a great dining experience. The Hostess sat us promptly. Min, our server, was friendly, timely with our drinks, food order, and our bill. She even gave recommendations for ordering. The cooks did a fantastic job making our order and it was brought to us hot. We were in and out within an hour. Thank you Min and P’s for a great dining experience.“
