“We stayed at Mystic Hills Hideaway for 2 1/2 weeks (before Sturgis Rally). We enjoyed our stay. We had a great site. Shawn the owner was awesome… so friendly. We rented UTV & Shawn gave us great advice on where to go…Moonshine Gulch Saloon! Kristie in the Lodge restaurant was awesome and gave us advice on how to use backroads to visit places. Food was delicious… Shawn knows how smoke the meat for ‘ pulled pork and prime rib’!Campground is close to all the great places to visit. And we got to watch the cows roaming. We will definitely go back.“

“We were in Saturday for a late birthday lunch and it was absolutely perfect! The food was phenomenal, everyone in our group loved what they ordered, but beyond that our server Austin was amazing. We were a little rowdy and he was great at putting up with our nonsense and was so much fun but also very knowledgeable and made great food recommendations. I had a burger that Austin recommended and it was delicious! We also really enjoyed the bar tender too but unfortunately I didn’t get her name. Overall it was a great experience and we will definitely be back!“

“The food quality and obvious top notch attention to detail and care that the staff take make this my go to spot in Deadwood. You have to give this place a try if you stop through town!“

“The waitress was great, so accommodating and patient as I had many dietary restrictions. But I’m confused as to why the cook/chef/person in the kitchen wouldn’t allow her to take a picture of the ingredients on a box of their food?? It took multiple attempts for our waitress to go in back and check for certain ingredients because they wouldn’t let her just take a pic and show me. Very disturbing. Your customers should have access to read the ingredients in all of the food you offer. Fortunately your server is the one giving you 4 stars, otherwise scenarios like this will usually get you 1 star from me.“
“I travel alot, and coming to Deadwood, I Highly recommend the Gulch. Rooms are VERY Clean, I think the Bed is better than my own at home, and they have FREE BREAKFAST! The Bonus is , I won 2000$ last time, and won 500 just walking to my room. It's not on the Strip, but WOW, Impressed.“

“Food was absolutely delicious! Our waitress Mailene was scattered and kept forgetting things, but luckily it was early in the morning and we were in slow motion so we were in no hurry. Would visit again just because the food was so good, the restaurant was incredibly convenient, and we enjoyed our stay overall at the Lodge at Deadwood!“

“We went for a very late lunch (after the 1st shootout) so maybe that's why we had better food than others reviewed? My parents enjoyed their burgers and chicken strips, which is a good review! My daughters and I also enjoyed our burgers. Fast service, hot food.
Some mention the high prices but it was on par with every place we had eaten in the badlands/black hills area, and some of the better food we had at the same price point. (Some of the other places we went had higher reviews and we thought they weren't good, just to give perspective on this review).“

“😀Great food, quick service and awesome servers. I thought it was comical that they serve your food on paper plates. But, honestly, one of the best chicken fried steaks I have ever had. Our waitress was friendly and funny. She made our experience even more enjoyable. Cute little cafe that was once a service station.“

“Went for breakfast. I was pleasantly surprised that the restaurant was on a separate floor from the casino. Had the ham steak which was griddled to a nice caramelized crust and the hash browns were crispy and buttery, just the way I like them.“

“Terrible hostess. We're told there was only high-top seating left as we were seated walked by numerous booths that were open. No one came to serve us. we left after 10 minutes of silence, while the hostess was on her phone outside of the kitchen. Boy, was she shocked when we picked up our things and left. Motto "Everyone's welcome" was by the far the biggest lie that was told yesterday. extremely disappointed. -5/10“

“Really the only up scale menu and atmosphere in Deadwood. The food is excellent across the board. HUGE cuts of American Beef and large wine menu give plenty of pairing options. Sea Bass, Shrimp and crab cakes make for great seafood options too. Our server Peyton was amazing!! She knew the menu and specials down pat and did a wonderful job serving our meal. Expect to spend at least $100 per person between appetizers, drinks, main course and desserts.“
