“Good food good service, quiet depending on the season. Daily specials and video lottery machines along the wall, jukebox and tvs and a decent selection of alcohol. No formal menu it's posted on a sign against the wall. There are no posted hours for either business.”
“We ate a mid-morning breakfast. It was one of the only options in Hill City. Reviews I had read were mixed, but we had a good experience. The food was pretty average breakfast fare with prices a bit on the high side. Our server was great. Overall it was a decent place to eat and we enjoyed it.”
“Really good food and great customer service!! You gotta try the Buffalo stew! Perfect fit a cold evening and the mushroom Swiss burger was awesome too! And the beer batter onion rings were amazing along with a great ipa. The Chislic dinner plate was so darn good!! We ate dinner here 3 of the 5 days we were in town. Overall great food and great experience”
“My family stopped there on the way back to Madison, WI. We met other Wisconsin people there. There were so rightwing posters that showed some of the weird stereotypes they have of urban people. The food was good, and the people were nice. I wouldn't avoid then on account of the rightwing stuff because the signs indicated they won't be bullied by political liberals, and it's good for them to see people like my family in Madison have no thought or desire to do so.”
“Walking around Hill City we found this for lunch. Very happy! My brisket sandwich was great and my wife loved (and couldn't finish) her roast beef sandwich. Plenty of filling food! Service was great and we really enjoyed the 'saloon' interior - always love the textured meatal ceiling.”
