“The people and food were both excellent. It was our first stop to try and it was so good we stopped back again another day. We will definitely eat here again next year!“
“We stopped in for a drink and a bite to eat after a weekend of hiking. The burgers were delicious and there are plenty of beers to choose from, but best of all the service and people here are great!“

“We had dinner on 8/15/23 during a stop for our cross-country road trip. It turned out to be one of the best places in the 20+ states we have visited. We ordered the full sampler combo as a meal, as well as a Double Jalapeno Cheeseburger. Food came out in a very reasonable time frame. Atmosphere was very comfortable and inviting. The combo plate was massive, with tons of excellent appetizers and plenty of dipping sauces. I am very picky about burgers, and this was one of the best burgers I have ever had. Everything was very fresh, especially the jalapenos. The burger had a lot of meat - stacked very high. Fries were excellent. But the biggest surprise was the condition of the bathroom. What a welcome surprise to see a restaurant that genuinely cares about the condition and maintenance of its bathrooms. Super clean and immaculate condition. Any food establishment that cares about its bathrooms clearly cares about its customers. Our servers were outstanding as well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place!“

“The wait staff was attentive, Tatanka stew delicious on a snowy day and the view was gorgeous!“
“Grizzly Primitive Campground delivered exactly what I was looking for, an offgrid, peaceful experience. I stayed at Plot 11, which is conveniently close to the creek. The constant, soothing sound of the water combined with the natural atmosphere made it incredibly relaxing and well worth the stay. Just a heads up it's cash only, so bring exactly $26 for the night. Simple, quiet, and exactly what you'd hope for in a primitive camping spot.“
“Sylvan Lake is a great centrally located resort to the many sites. The cabins are a trail or drive from the main hotel.
The cabins have Laundromat on site. 3.75 per wash and 1.75 per dry. Bring quarters, only way to pay. Bring materials unless you want to pay 6-10$ for supplies on top of washes.
The cabins themselves we stayed in two bedroom 1 bathroom. It had kitchenette with oven. It said will sleep ten which would be insane with single bathroom. Firepit. Only the largest cabin has a grill.
Issues: No place to organize luggage outside of floor space. Not enough hooks on walls to manage five people (2 adults, 3 kids). Win some.. lose.. some.
Fishing supplies (worms) available in grocery.
Sunday Gulch trail is strenuous but unique. Lakeshore trail is one mile and offers mild rockscapes for all ages.“
