P.S. Do need to make a note that not all baristas know how to make a good cup of coffee. We had instances of overfrothed (overheated) milk here, and not great tasting coffee overall sometimes. We do make pourovers/espresso drinks at home from quality beans like Rogue Wave/Monogram/Bow/Phil & Sebastian, we understand how a consistently good taste can be achieved with an experience. I still would give 5 stars, i wouldn’t find out about Rogue Wave coffee beans if not these guys. Sparrow is for sure among 2-3 shops in Saskatoon that understand coffee. We always hope for the guy with a nice moustache to make our coffee, he hasn’t made us a bad cup of coffee yet. Just need to train staff a bit better. I also understand not everyone is passionate about making coffee.“

“The food is really great! The portions are big, and they are filling. I wish some of the bento boxes had more sauce on the meat (especially the steak and the pork). The bingsoo are big, with lots of toppings, and very good.

The staff are friendly. The service can be a bit slow, but nothing unreasonable.

“Our Valentine's Day dinner at Garden Court Café inside the Delta Bessborough was exceptional. From start to finish, both the cuisine and the service stood out.
The sophisticated flavors and unique combinations in each dish made for a memorable evening. The appetizers were a perfect introduction to the evening, setting high expectations for the courses to come. The main course did not disappoint, delivering a delicious and satisfying experience. The dessert was magnificent, a sweet finale to a remarkable meal.
Our server, Emily, played a key role in making the night special. She was attentive without being intrusive, seemingly anticipating our needs before we had to ask. It was clear that she was dedicated to ensuring our experience was perfect, and her service was flawless.
The meal was completed within an hour, which felt like the ideal amount of time to enjoy each course and the impeccable service without feeling rushed. However, there were minor issues with the washrooms. Although the restrooms were clean, the garbage bins were full, and the quality of the soap provided for handwashing was lacking. Nonetheless, these small inconveniences did not detract from the overall dining experience.
There was also a slight discrepancy when I asked for the bill, as the price listed on the menu was lower than the price showing in the bill. Upon pointing this out to Emily, she apologized immediately and corrected the error without hesitation.
Despite these minor details, my experience was overwhelmingly positive, and I would certainly return to the Garden Court Café in the future—perhaps for lunch next time..

“First time trying Dee's and it was great! Soup was extremely good homemade shitake mushroom soup. Great pita pizza to go with it for only $11!. Dee was also extremely friendly. We chatted the entire time I was there. I will definitely be back for more soup and to try some sandwiches. It's located in the lower level of the Pacific Avenue medical building .“

“I had my breakfast at Junior Cafe on Broadway Avenue this past Saturday to meet a friend. Despite the cold weather, the cafe was wonderfully heated and comfortable, making the experience cozy and inviting. I ordered a mocha and a chocolate croissant, both of which were delightful. The staff was gentle and quick to get my order, adding to the pleasant atmosphere.
The tables were comfortable, although as more people arrived, the space did get a bit tighter. However, this didn't bother me much. There's also a counter facing Broadway if you're looking for another seating option. Overall, I had a great time and would recommend Junior Cafe for a warm and cozy spot to catch up with friends.“

“Frenzy has beautiful space and decoration with flowers and other stuff on shelf. We love wonton soup that is so yummy and different from other restaurants in the city. Also the drinks are excellent. I tried lychee tea and my husband tried Dalgona coffee that were so amazing and tasty. Luckily we found it last 30 mins before it’s closed at 5pm but the lady was so kind to let us enjoyed our meals until 5:15. We will be back because it’s so close to the hospital where my husband getting his treatment. 5 stars for this beautiful, yummy and friendly restaurant“

“We had the most amazing night out here for our Christmas party. We were able to book a night of succulent planter making and making our own home made pizzas. We all loved it and had the best time. What a unique venue / store and it was so nice that we could just stay there for our entire evening. Roger was such a great teacher and host. He also kept a steady steam of deserts coming our way as well after we finished with our fabulous pizzas. What a great experience. We can’t recommend enough.

I understand how those could get written but a person's expectations are extremely crucial in determining how they will rate something.Bunnyhug Bakery feels like good, honest friends of yours decided to make a go at giving people an alternative to the "Big Box" coffee places. Your friends aren't rich and they don't know everything there is to know about the eatery business, but they have a heart for their work and the people they're serving.Again, it's about expectations. Human beings like you are making sandwiches, cooking food, preparing drinks. So the butter on the toast or sandwich might not always be perfectly melted or at the right temperature. The furniture and the upstairs nook are rustic-feeling, partly because they provide a comfortable atmosphere and again partly because you generally don't get rich in the cafe business. If you like everything polished and perfect, go somewhere else.On the other hand the space is larger and the foot traffic is less than the more popular "chain" venues. So it makes the place feel a bit cozier and more personal. Servers aren't yelling out orders. You're not constantly getting a cold draft when someone opens the door. And as I mentioned, you can go up to a loft with windows to the south for an even cozier experience.The staff is friendly. They know their business and serve up your order with a genuine smile and interaction. They put you at ease and make you want to stay awhile. How many places can you say that about? And their prices are quite reasonable.If you're looking for these kinds of things, Bunnyhug is a very good choice. They could use a few more good customers, people like themselves. But please - don't tell everyone. Some places are best kept secret, contained to your circle of closer friends. Everyone else can go looking elsewhere for the perfect latte or ham & cheese omelette while we enjoy the rich food and company in peace and contentment. I highly recommend this place (said in a low voice, almost a whisper).“
