“Absolutely amazing! The food was so delicious and plentiful. It was our first time going here and it definitely won’t be the last. A small cozy family run business, it’s easy the see the pride they take in their food. And they are so kind!! Thank you for the excellent service.“
“My wife won a $50 gift certificate off Facebook from this restaurant. We never tried this place before. I got blackbean shrimp vegetables and Thai pineapple rice. It was very flavourful and cooked perfectly. My wife got deluxe wonton soup and dinner for one - (chicken fried rice, sweet and sour chicken breast and a spring roll). She ate it with our child and they still have rice and soup left. I have half of what I ordered left even though I took two bowls full already. They really liked their food too. I'm pescatarian so I don't eat chicken and pork which I didn't realize was in my rice. The girls were happy to take it and eat it. Thai pineapple rice is spicy and I can handle much more spice, so it would be good for someone who wants a little heat without too much. I'm sure we are the last people in the city to try this place but we definitely will try it again soon. There is so much on the menu that looks delicious it was hard to decide what I wanted. Even though this was very good I will try something new next time. The restaurant is clean and was about 80% full when we went in. Very friendly people work here. I'm glad she won that contest otherwise we might have never found this gem in our neighbourhood. Sorry no pictures. It smelled so good when we picked it up that as soon as I unpacked it I immediately dug right in, but trust me it looked good. We have many Vietnamese friends and have had many Asian dishes. We know the difference between alright food and really good authentic tasting food. ?⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“We had heard about this place, but finally gave it a try last night for our anniversary. We wish we hadn't waited so long to give this place a try! The service is great. Cocktails are great. The food is really really good and a great value which is refreshing. We highly recommend this place.“
“This place has been around for about a year and i just discovered it last weekend. I surely regret not having been here before.Hand's down one of the best restaurants of its kind if not the best in Saskatoon. Will come back on a regular basis. Additionally, their prices are great.Try the Chaufa rice and you will know what I am talking about. Although, you cannot go wrong with any dish.“
“I am always satisfied with my food whenever i come here! This place is very underrated i’ve been coming here since i was a little kid and enjoyed every moment of it ! They have the best chow mein noodles and sweet and sour pork in the city !“
“We dined in and ordered a variety of dishes and enjoyed each one very much. We had the shrimp/pork fresh rolls, Vietnamese rolls, special beef noodle soup, sizzling ginger beer and special chow mein. The food was excellent quality. Masterly balanced flavours. The price was affordable, we will definitely be back! The special beef noodle soup had strong fennel notes and was unreal with the chilli oil added. We decided the Ginger beef is our most favourite in Saskatoon. The Vietnamese rolls had a great crisp texture, and the ground meat/veggie mixture within the rolls were delicious and better quality than others we’ve tried in Saskatoon. We ordered extra food to enjoy leftovers. So great!“
“Ordered from here on skip for the first time. So delicious! We got two noodle bowls and I can probably say this is the best one I've had in a long time! They did not skimp out on anything (particularly the veggies, meat, and peanuts), the meals were really well priced and came with a good portion and were very delicious!“
“Dropped in with a friend on a whim, and we will absolutely be back. Food was hot, fresh, and unbelievably tasty. Prices were very reasonable. Our bill was about $50 and we both left feeling very sated with probably enough leftovers for 2 more meals. Staff was friendly. I should add that I'm vegetarian and my friend is vegan, and we had tons of options.“
“This is one of my favorite restaurants in the city. Every dish they serve is great and full of flavor, and the prices are fair. If you avoid Chinese food because you think it's greasy, this place will make you love the cuisine. You need to try the pulled pork pancake/sandwich and any dish that has thick cut hand-pulled noodles in it.“
“Been in the GTA the last 10 years and was excited to come back to what was and still the BEST soups, noodle bowls and rolls! Far and away better quality than anything I had in the Toronto area and it must still be the best in Saskatoon. Their base recipes must be very well made, since I have never had a bad meal there .... that it isn't packed from open to close is beyond me! I will be there at least 6 times per month now that we live here again. Glad to be back in Saskatoon ; Toronto has nothing on us!“
“Easily the best Vietnamese in Saskatoon. The food is extremely consistent, delicious little touches like lemongrass in their noodle bowls, high quality ingredients, generous portions and the family running it is so kind. Not once but twice I have forgotten my wallet at work and they've let me walk out with the food (both times of come back and squared up) but that says a lot to me! You eating here easily 30 times look forward to eating here more, thanks for the great food and awesome service.“
“Ordered a few dishes but one was chicken chow mein and thought it came with thin noodles from the picture but was thick noodles, called them up and they made us one with thin noodles right away and let us keep the other as well. Were very kind and understanding and everything tasted great! Would order again 100%“
“Every time we have family gatherings, holidays, Christmas, birthdays, etc, we always get their roastted duck, it's the best in saskatoon. We've tried many here in saskatoon, but they don't compare with the taste and the price you're getting. It's also a pleasure to come and dine in every time. We've been coming here for more than 10 years, and they've always been consistent with the quality of their food. The place might look old and rundown, but trust me that its always clean and their kitchen are always spotless. I appreciate it so much coming from a family with really sensitive stomachs that gets sick with just a little problem with the food, we've never had any problems with the cleanliness and quality. This restaurant has been here for 30+ years, and it's going strong, and there's a reason why. We always bring friends from outside the city to come and eat here and they are never disappointed. This is a family favourite and our favourite orders from them are their dimsums, bbq duck, the braised duck with all meat or sea cucumber, fukchow fried rice, the 3-course peking duck, egg foo young, the sticky rice. The price are also reasonable and their price portion size ratio is very good too!“
“Got some really good beef with mixed vegetables and rice plus added chicken for less than 13 dollars taxes in. Worth the money, its definitely good quality for the price and convenience. I'd go again. The meat is really good, and none of the vegetables are old/gross, super happy with what I got. I found exactly what I wanted, healthy meat, vegetables, and rice that tastes good. simple, nothing fancy.“
“First time trying this place Order from skip food was delivered at a timely fashion. When I open the food the smell was delightful everything’s very fresh, not greasy order the s&s peach with chicken fried rice and wonton as a combo plate asked for spicy. Not too spicy I would say full of flavour wouldn’t change a thing definitely gonna go back .“
“My absolute go-to for Chinese cuisine in Saskatoon! The service is fast and my order is usually prepared within a mere 15-20 minutes. Whenever I have guests over, this is my top choice because of their flavorful dishes and generous portion sizes. Highly recommend their mapo tofu, special fried chicken, lamb with cumin and ground pot chicken with rice cakes.“
“While it's not the absolute cheapest Vietnamese restaurant in Saskatoon, the quality and service here are impeccable. You can expect to spend $10-20 for your meal and receive a healthy portion. The food arrived in under 5 minutes from when we ordered, so it's perfect for lunch breaks or when you're in a pinch.Vegetarian options: Plenty. No issues hereDietary restrictions: I am gluten free. There were no issues!“
“We chose a variety of dishes for a workplace lunch. Everything was absolutely delicious! We ordered various pakoras, spring rolls, various chow meins, cashew chicken, and veg momos. The portion sizes were great and the flavours were amazing. The staff working the counter and answering the phone are very friendly. We all agreed we will be ordering again in the future.“
“Ordered takeout dinner for one option B, plenty of food, tasted fresh, not greasy! The one thing that stood out to me most was the above average pieces of chicken and lots of it throughout the chicken fried rice and chow mien, really enjoyed. Don’t hesitate to order from here?“
“I was wanting dim sum and my usual place was closed. I googled this place and was not disappointed. It is beautiful and the prices are clearly listed. I forgot to take photos of the food when it was freshly served so what I am sharing is partially eaten.Dietary restrictions: I’m allergic to shrimp so the server made recommendations.“
“If you are looking for fantastic hot and sour soup on a buffet..this is it!! Food is awesome, price is actually amazing, as well...$16.45 for seniors! Wow, the fried chicken on buffet is also amazing and garlic shrimp, its all good! Friendly and clean!!Vegetarian options: lots and salad as well!!“
“This place is a bit far from home; however, they have the best samosas I've ever had! Perfect crunchy texture and delicious filling! Paired with sauces = Perfection! ? Chinmay was very friendly and hospitable! Worth the drive and definitely recommend going here!“
“Amazing food, great staff that help beginners at hotpot etiquette, and wonderful broth! They always keep your broth and water topped up! Please give this place a try!Vegetarian options: They have an entire panel on their menu for all diet restrictions.Kid-friendliness: They have an awesome little playarea near the front door.“
“I was in the neighbourhood and wanted a quick bite so I stopped by and quite enjoyed the food! It’s a fairly small place and there were only one other table so it was quiet. I got my food quick (chicken pho with no beansprouts and onions) with a side of Vietnamese roll. Service was good too!“
“Really tasty food and sauces! First time ordering from there and besides a little snafu with skip courier it was really good! The owner or whoever I spoke with on the phone seemed very apologetic! In the end it was still good food and kind service!“
“Decent dim sum, but not what it once was. Order through their app. Delivery was fast and accurate. The recipe for some items seems to have changed, but in general the food was good. Good enough I would go again.Understaffed so the staff only have time to do the bare minimum. We got our own takeout containers. And were not the only customers doing. Someone brought water at the end of the meal, but didn't ask everyone. We had a table in the middle of the room and it was loud enough that it was difficult to hold much of a conversation.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheel chair accessible. One handicap parking spot by the entrance. Manoeuvring a wheel chair when it is full might be difficult for some tables so we went early.“
“First time trying this place, food was great! We wanted to find a few alternatives to the places we usually go to and this one was easily as good if not better. Spice levels actually had some kick to them, meats and vegetables weren’t overcooked, sauces had decent flavour. Only complaint would be that the Vietnamese Rolls were a bit more like egg rolls in that the filling didn’t seem to have much meat, but other than that everything was excellent. We will definitely try them again.“
“Coming from someone who doesn't write reviews, I have to say that I'm very grateful for their understanding of my situationI ended up ordering off of SkiptheDish and accidentally ordered it to the wrong address, and Skips customer services were not answering me, so I ended up calling them, and they decided to deliver the same thing I bought off of Skip for FREE, plus putting me on a higher priority list due to the mix upThank you very much!I am very grateful!10/10Ps. The food is amazing!“
“Visited this restaurant today based on a friend's recommendation, and it was amazing. Honestly, I didn't have high expectations, but this place might become my regular spot from now on. It's hands down the best restaurant in Saskatoon. The only thing is, since one person handles everything from cooking to serving, there might be a bit of a wait when it's crowded. However, it's definitely worth the wait.“
“We discovered Tongs almost two years ago and have eaten there about 5 or 6 times now (last night being the latest). As usually, we left fully satisfied!Love that we can sit down and be eating within ~20 mins--despite a variety of dishes being ordered!Food... We have begun trying a new dish every time we eat here and last night the 'Red Pepper Chicken'--a nice blend of heat (spice) and flavour. Always receive big dishes and have lots of leftovers to take home.Prices... for a family of five, we typically pay upwards of $110 to eat, but Tongs we can eat for slightly more than $75 AND still have take-home for the next day.Service... always friendly & fast; water/drinks rarely stays empty for long.Seating... small tables for 1-4 people all the way to big, round, lazy Susan equipped, tables for ~8 (possibly more) people.Have read a few of the bad reviews here and, as of yet, haven't experienced any of those issues. Have had the ginger beef (another reviewer commented soupy) and ours did have heavy sauce (not so much like their pic showed) and, yes, was different than other places ginger beef, ie not as crispy here & more sauce by far (not our number one choice, but we do re-order as flavour is fine). And yes, we've see tomatoes? in it and thought it was strange but didn't affect flavour in any bad way. This place reminds me of the Chinese food places from my childhood--big flavour, giant egg rolls, massive chicken balls & great fried shrimp that aren't greasy, and consistent sauce-dishes.“
“Love the staff and the menu. Always looking forward to dining there. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.Vegetarian options: They have a salad bar and also some very tasty stir fry dishes.Dietary restrictions: I do keto, there's a number of dishes that can satisfy your taste and keep you in ketosis.“
“Just finished our second time from Auntie Jane's and again were very happy. Nothing fancy but good flavour and good portions. Ordered 4 dishes for the two of us and ate with hearty appetites but there is still pleny for a second meal tomorrow. Definitely on my "do again" list.“
“The waiters were polite and the dishes were delicious. I personally liked the quiet atmosphere here. I would recommend the grill pork chop on rice. Must try restaurant. The best item which I can recommend is beef rice noodle soup. Believe me and go here with your “
“I had a real nice birthday dinner with my mother there. I ate a moderate amount and so did my mom but my appetite cannot be satisfied anywhere else once I get The Great Buffet of China in my head. They have the food that satisfies your Chinese food craving!Parking: There's a real nice parking lot outside of it that is shared with the Bingo Hall.“
“First time eating here. Don’t let the humble atmosphere turn you off. Chef Pan loves food and is an excellent chef. The food is authentic Chinese food so don’t expect sweet and sour pork. BBQ duck is his specialty. It was excellent. Everything was tasty and interesting. Even the simple veg stir fry was perfect. There is a lot of items on the menu and some dishes I was not sure what they were. I recommend looking at the online menu and do a bit of research first. We will come back to this place again and explore the menu. There were some exotic items that look interesting to try“
