“My husband and I go here every chance we get when we're on the North End of the city. We are from out of town and normally order the medium size and take half of it home because it is so generous. The owner, Jamal, is very friendly and makes the absolute best sauces with garlic and spicy peppers if that is your wish. We've tried Shawarma places in Penticton that do not even come close to what Jamal makes. My husband normally gets the lamb which he loves and I opt for the beef or chicken depending on my mood. The prices are very reasonable for the size. I ordered a small the other day and the pita would not even close up there was so much meat in it. The vegetables are always fresh and the drinks are always cold. If you want good food for a good price this is the place to come.
I did not give five stars for atmosphere as the bathrooms are a little tired.“

“This restaurant has been on my list of places to try for a while, and yet it took a different restaurant nearby being closed to actually try it. And I’m so glad we did! The menu was extensive, wonderful variety of vegetarian, vegan, and meat dishes — and also a great variety of meats to choose from. We almost went with a Combo for 2 (don’t see that option very often!), but we decided to order vegetable pakora, beef vindaloo, chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, and saffron rice. The two of us were so hungry when we got there, we were very full when we left, and I have lots of leftovers to take home. The amount of meat in each dish was impressive compared to other places I’ve been recently. Each dish was so rich and flavourful. The service was top notch, even if it was the Monday evening before Canada Day and the place was very quiet (some pickup orders happening instead of dining in). Two waiters were fabulous to us — very friendly, very accommodating. I’ll definitely be recommending this restaurant, and I’ll be back!!“

“The roof top patio is the absolute best, but the inside area is super cool too. Added bonus kids are allowed in the inside area till 5pm so families can enjoy the great pub fare food as well. Staff is awesome, fun and quick. Broadway is an absolute gem in this city, easily feels like you swapped cities with Montreal or vancouver. Will most certainly be back“
