“We stopped in for dinner after a less than stellar meal at another restaurant. First, the menu is incredible and executed to perfection, with care and discipline. Second, Marvin is a professional-class server; he treats every table as if it were his only one. Third, the front desk manager went out of her way to make us feel welcome on our celebration evening. If you've read Guidara's 'Unreasonable Hospitality' and wondered where to find it in Memphis, it's here.“
“If you like board games and a good time. You should check Board to Beers out. They always have great local brews on tap. Their game selection is amazing. And their staff? They are absolute sweetest. You are missing out if you don't check them out.“
“Great food, good location, nice atmosphere. The music is great - but generally too loud to carry on a conversation (so it's not ideal for a date if there's a band playing. Check ahead). Probably my favorite place to eat in Overton Square.“
“I recommend going for evening drinks/dinner. Cocktails are good, service is good, great atmosphere. Dinner food is also good. But I just went for brunch and it was meh. Bloody Mary was good and the breakfast potatoes were DELICIOUS, but I was surprised at the quality of the breakfast sandwich. It was tasty in its own right, but it was just three ingredients on a hamburger bun (not really the “brioche” the server said it was), something I could get wrapped up in foil at a grocery store. For a higher level restaurant, I was expecting something more. Would also love to see more options for egg Benedict than just pork belly; salmon is on the menu so it seems like it would be easy to put that as an egg Benedict option.“
“Ciao Bella has to be 1 of my favorite restaurants in Memphis! Every dish I've had has been absolutely delicious! I try to save food to take home every time, but it never makes it! The service is amazing and I love how they designed the new restaurant! It's elegant but still very much inviting. I like to think of Ciao bella as my little well-known secret that I don't like sharing.“
“We had dinner here for the first time during the last week of 2023, and it was a phenomenal experience. The wine and cocktails were great, and the food was top of the line. The bolognese was delicious, and the beef tenderloin and whipped potatoes were richly satisfying. If you was a wonderful dining experience in a smaller environment, give them a try.“
“Had a great experience at this restaurant. We indulged in the Veggie Quesadilla and the Chile Poblano, and they were both super tasty dishes paired with quality service.Very affordable and worth visiting. I have frequented both the Union Avenue and the Trinity Commons locations.“
“My wife and I decided to skip the BBQ on our next trip to Memphis and picked here- what a GREAT choice! Fantastic lunch menu with great prices and portions. The BLFGTA was both of our favorites. The truffle fries were great to share. We would love to return for their brunch menu.Parking: There’s a small lot beside the restaurant with paid parking.“
“My first outing in several months and our outing together just as long. This was our first time at this establishment and it was really nice, cozy, quiet, and hats off to the Chef. I found out that they have been open since November, but the building itself has been there for 4-5 years. They have a few secluded areas within the lounge as well as an outdoor patio and storefront for purchasing your cigars. You first walk in the entrance to a bar side area with table seating and basketball was playing on the tv. Just before gaining entrance to the patio, you can see the cigar store and a to the side area away from the bar side to also watch tv and socialize. The music selections and dim light adorned with local artists on the walls also sets the tone of the place. Neither one of us smoke but we both said that we enjoyed it and will definitely return. Happy birthday again, Galvin!“
“Went on a Sunday afternoon to check out the brunch and had a great time! As usual the food was delicious! I had the catfish and grits with breakfast potatoes, and couldn’t finish the plate. Drinks were on point too! I tried a mimosa and a cherry lemon drop. We sat at the bar and our server DeeDee was everything! Beautiful inside and out! We never had to ask for anything, she was always on it. Definitely going back and I’m checking for her everytime!“
“We absolutely love this place! My husband proposed to me here, so it has a very special place in our hearts ?. The food is amazing! I've had the Chicken Marco Polo many times and it never disappoints. Great drink options and the service is always top notch whether you sit in the dining room or at the bar!“
“Awesome food.Molcajete is the best. Service today sucked. I had molcajete, cheese dip, sampler platter. There was so much on the table between those items, the girls drinks, my water and amargarita, and chips. No room, so we eat,get to go boxes no room, to even get the food in a box. 4 employees sitting behind the cashier talking, (we were at the first 4 top in front of the cashier) it was not busy we went early cuz we know how crowded it gets. Several servers walking around… not one, even our server didn’t take any dishes away, I was spilling food trying to move things around and get things out of the way to get in boxes. Very aggravating. I love the food there, but, I go out so I don’t have to cook, clean up, and to have a good time and relax. Not to work or be inconvenienced. I usually tip well, but , no not today. There’s 100’s of Mexican restaurants here. When I found this place we were on a quest to find the best Mexican restaurant in town… we stopped there as we believed we found the best.. but the service seems to be lacking lately, so I believe our quest will continue“
“Look growlers may be a small venue and the parking may suck but nothing beats their shows. They have amazing artists that show up and do awesome jobs. I've only had good experiences there. You're up close and personal with the band you may even get lucky enough to meet one face to face. Even if you're way back in the bar area they have great sound quality , the food is good. The price of booze and liquor are some what good and a great patio area to chill if you want to get out and get some fresh air also, the staff is pretty chill“
“Great little neighborhood bar with local and other taps, plus a good bourbon selection. I was there in my professional capacity so I didn't get to eat or imbibe but now that I know the place isn't just a three beer joint, I'll go back with my wife and in law group. Seems like one of those places that "everybody knows your name"... great looking, clean and cozy. Met the owner, who's a really great guy. I look forward to going back off duty.“
“Was just there to listen to the band and can't remember the name of the band but they were really good. They're well known around Memphis. This is a really nice bar but you can't smoke inside any more. Their covered patio is the smoking area now“
“This one is for the book, cocktail, and food lovers! Libro/Novel has easily become one of my favorite places to go! I've been for brunch, lunch, dinner, and happy hour! Basically, whatever they have to offer, I've tried it...twice! They have local good for purchase and it's a bookstore and restaurant, what more can you ask for. The service is always top tier, and the food is filling and flavorful. I can really just sit in there for hours listening to a little jazz, finding a friend at the bar and just admiring the atmosphere. I love to write so this place is a dream come true for me. If you haven't been I highly suggest trying them out. I've even included their happy hour for anyone interested. “I've been coming here for about 24 years now. It is consistently good. Food has remained high quality and the service is almost always top notch. I love their nachos, the quesadillas, the cheese dip, all of it! You can't go wrong with Tracks.“
“Very affordable dinner especially recommend the meat plus two vegetables with bread. Only thing that is a disappointment are the deserts. Cobbler is not fresh, seems stale. Hope they'll consider improving their deserts. Fried eggplant for a vegetable is especially a nice pick that few restaurants offer.“
“Hands down the best place I've eaten in MS and TN. Both the customer service and food were beyond amazing! Owner and son are passionate about what they do, CARE about their customers, and made sure we were happy with everything. They also cater and I highly recommend everyone try them out.“
“I visited with my friend who knew some of the regulars who came over to our table to say hello . Very friendly wait staff and bartender. Did not order food but will next time. I understand the burgers are terrific. Older group; if you are looking for a neighborhood bar where everyone will remember your name, this might be a fit for you.“
“Sufi's has come a long way since my last experience there. The service was great, the atmosphere pleasant and inviting, & it was clean. We shared a Sufi sampler. The food was presented beautifully, and it was also quite flavorful. Literally, the only thing wrong with this experience was how overcooked the food was. And, I probably should have specified the lamb or beef, but for real it was like double well-done. The chicken too. Again, tasty, but dryyyyy.“
“A good time & feeling safe is expected after I've visited here on a few Friday nights. It's a slightly tight space, but the crowd/atmosphere makes it comfortable with a good buzz. The admission charge is reasonable and probably cuts down some on indecent patrons. I haven't tried any of their drinks (or food, hookah, etc) yet. The Karaoke aspect is really fun. The host and Dj are ???. I love that about here. I've never been on the other nights.I didn't give a 5 ⭐ as the bartender from my very first visit wasn't attentive in serving me (she wasn't busy either). It's a good thing she walked off before getting my order, as Roscoe crawled across the bar top a couple minutes after... But that could've been from a patron for all I know. Overall, a Great place to have fun alone or with your folks.Parking: Shared parking lot in a shopping plaza.“
“Best bar in Millington! Site used as a location in the film 'Black Snake Moan'. Nice place with a good selection of domestic beers and 'pub-grub'. The locals are friendly and the owner doesn't allow any 'language'.No kiddin', the night I was there a couple was asked to leave when the husband got belligerent and started using the f* bomb. With no windows, this place is cool and dark even in the afternoon. They have a shuffle board table in one corner and a small juke box in back.“
“LOVE this place!! A foodie-friend recommended we try it and I'm hooked! The hospitality, food and drinks were all wonderful - but the desserts... their bread pudding was so well done! I cleaned my plate and ordered another to take home, I enjoyed it so much. Thanks for the great dining experience!“
“Me and my bestie came here 3 weeks ago (forgot to do my review) It was our first time there but the place was cool. The food was good. I had the sliders and she had the wings and it was delicious. Their drinks was good as well. I would recommend this place for folks that want to try something new.Parking: Their parking lot isn’t big so of course the spaces were filled. We weren’t able to park in their lot. We had to find a place on the street to park.“
“I had a wonderful experience at this establishment. The atmosphere has a unique vibe that adds to the overall experience. The food carries a distinctive, signature taste, indicating the chef's passion for cooking. The drinks from the bar were excellent as well. While our waiter wasn't the best, I'm hopeful that with time, he'll improve. I would absolutely return, and I highly recommend giving this place a try.“
“Went for goth night!!! It was fabulous! Could use a bit more dance space... but the space is cozy nonetheless!!! The bartender was very unfriendly throughout the entire evening, however. Literally refused to even acknowledge me. Not sure what that was about as I've never seen this person before. But I'll give it another shot cause I know ways around these silly things! ?“
“Always has friendly people there its clean and there's the cutes Lil security guard there "girlfreind" . Love my bartender girls too . Idk if I'll be back though if not nice meeting you all and don't listen to the lies jimbo tells about me ... and Angie Green glad I got to hear you preform a few times ur amazing .“
“The bartenders here all seem super nice and competent. It s a cute little space. But y'all..I really can only review the patio area....which is every thing a Midtown bar should have, including good fans and sturdy chairs. 100% Five star patio!!!ButI m pretty sure the building is haunted. The little bar room is well laid out and decorated. It's not that the interior design is spooky or anything off putting. It s quite cute with a chilled out aesthetic. The staff are lovely and welcoming. So either their neat little vintage photo booth thing in the back has something extra or the actual shop space it s self is just charged up with some kind something. It s not scary or anything, just a notable feeling once inside that grows stronger the farther away from the door.Being haunted isnt usually a problem for a Memphis bar and DKDC is no exception. It probably actually adds to the experience. Check their calendar as their entertainment runs a wide variety of tastes and there s probably at least one night coming up that you d like. The lady bartenders I encountered were all very fast and friendly, although I ve taken to drinking only Sprite when visiting since the building is haunted and spirits and spirits arent fun to mix.“
“Our server was very nice and attentive. We had a small wait to get a table but that was fine with us, it means the food is good if it's packed. I like the way the chicken and steak are finely chopped in the mixed fajita. My kid devoured her Quesadilla Roja. The salsa was really good too. We will definitely be back.Parking: The lot circles the building. If they're really busy you might have to make an extra lap around to find a spot.“
