The customer service is usually great but yesterday there was an instance where I ordered the orange dream doppio and had asked if they could make it hot and even mentioned knowing it had cold foam and some places didn’t like putting that on hot drinks. Well instead of asking enough questions, I got served a plain hot doppio and when I asked if it had cold foam the barista lied to my face and said yes. Then I mentioned that I’m a barista and I know what a doppio looks like and at that point he admitted there was no cold foam. Right before that, I heard another family say that their to go order drinks were made incorrectly too but they chose not to say something. Then my bagel didn’t have the proper ingredients either.“

And ever since that first bite of the King Kong I’ve never stopped thinking about them. Every person who asks me about places to go to in Nashville I tell them to come here first and as many times as they can during their trip as the doughnuts are THAT good. Even my Lyft driver was envious he was dropping me off here. This site is a bit smaller but the quality is not diminished at all. I just tired the February seasonal Tiramisu and it was perfect! Booking them was simple and communications were always clear, responsive, and timely. The wedding cake and groom’s cake at our wedding looked immaculate and tasted even better. Homestyle perfectly captured our vision for the cakes. All of our guests went back for second slices and no one could choose which cake they preferred. Our wedding cake was a four tier almond cake with raspberry filling and almond buttercream and the groom’s cake was cookie dough cake with a chocolate buttercream and chocolate ganache drips and chocolate chip cookies on top. “I love the bread from Great Harvest Bakery. I like to go early and get unsliced loaves fresh out of the oven. It reminds me of my childhood in the Caribbean. You have to try their halla and spinach-feta bread. They are delicious. You can tell that the ingredients are quality. The bread stays fresh and the employees will give you extra bags for freezing if you need it. They are very friendly. Always a great experience.“

My frustration was primarily with the response I received when I called, not with the owner’s handling of the situation afterward. I have since updated my review and rating to reflect the way the situation was addressed.

Let me start by saying I’ve been coming to Monamie for at least two years. I love the coffee and think the quality is excellent. Unfortunately, the customer service and overall experience have been seriously lacking recently, which is the reason for this review.

As both a coffee lover and a business owner, I understand the importance of customer service and providing customers with the product they paid for. I frequently order the 2 oz “doppio” shots listed on the website for use in some of my recipes. When I order 2 ounces, I expect to receive 2 ounces.

On multiple occasions, I have spent $25–$30 on espresso shots only to be significantly shorted on the amount received. The last time I addressed the issue, the missing ounces were poured and the situation was resolved. Today, however, I ordered six doppio shots, which should have totaled 12 ounces. At $3 each, that’s not an insignificant purchase.

When I got home, I weighed the espresso after zeroing out my kitchen scale and found that I had only received 7 ounces instead of the 12 ounces I paid for. I called the shop to let them know, and the response I received was disappointing. The barista immediately said, “We’ve had this conversation with you before, but our machine only pulls a little over an ounce for the pours.”

My response was simple: the website states that a doppio is 2 ounces. It doesn’t matter what the machine pulls if customers are being charged for 2 ounces and receiving barely over half of that amount. The issue isn’t the machine, it’s that the product being sold doesn’t match what is being advertised.

The dismissive attitude, lack of accountability, and condescending response were honestly more frustrating than the missing espresso itself. As a long-time customer, I expected better. Considering the shop is nearly a 20 minute round trip from my home, this experience was enough for me to decide to take my business elsewhere.“

“We love this bakery! They have a full array of bakery products, artisan breads and croissants. They started out years ago as a wholesale bakery but they are remodeling and will soon have a dine in facility. You don’t want to miss it!“

“I lived in Donelson in the 1990s and made frequent trips to Canada. But I never imagined decades later that my favorite Canadian coffee-shop chain would open an outlet in the heart of Donelson! From the mid-1970s to the summer of 2023, this property hosted a deplorable Krystal, a Nashville expansion project from a Chattanooga-based chain in which I had no interest. But on July 19, 2025, Tim Hortons debuted the state of Tennessee's first location here, converting the old Krystal building from an irrelevant and dated restaurant to a bright and shiny destination for Tim Hortons fans! And now, I can get my Canadian donut fix anytime I want!

Being Tennessee's first isn't the store's only accolade. It's the only Tim Hortons within the Nashville city limits, one of four in the Nashville metro all lying in close proximity in the eastern suburbs. And greatest of all, it's the only Tim Hortons in the first 1,648 miles (70%) of eastbound Highway 70, one of America's longest roads connecting Arizona to the Atlantic Ocean. That makes it the westernmost Tim Hortons on all of Highway 70!

And naturally, the Canadian maple donut is stupendous at this location. All the donuts are delicious, and the service is pretty good (depending on which employees are working). The door handles have hockey sticks, and the signpost out front is topped with a Canadian maple leaf. A mural inside pays tribute to one of the greatest NHL players who founded the company, the late Tim Horton (1930-1974). We're blessed to have Canada's largest fast-food franchise and the world's 25th largest with 6,000+ worldwide locations! It's a nice alternative to the other donut shop chains.“

It had its own original flavor and we were able to control how much icing we used. We will definitely be buying more and I’m hoping for more flavors to be available soon for baking at home. “I’ve had Crumbl Cookies three times now, and each experience has been delicious. The cookies are consistently fresh, soft, and well-made, and it really feels like you can’t go wrong with any of the rotating flavors.

Favorite Flavors.
A couple that stood out to me in particular were the strawberry shortcake and carrot cake—they were especially flavorful and memorable compared to the rest.

Nutrition & Indulgence Factor.
One thing to keep in mind is that the cookies are definitely rich and fairly high in calories, sugar, and fat, which is pretty typical for oversized gourmet-style cookies.

Because of that, I personally see them as more of a special-occasion treat or occasional indulgence rather than an everyday dessert.

Final Thoughts.
Overall, it’s been a great experience all three times, and I would definitely go back again to try more flavors. If enjoyed in moderation, they’re absolutely worth trying.“
