“We’ve eaten at Drakes, Chattanooga, since it’s opening and never been disappointed until today when a customer brought a dog inside to the inside “patio” seated at the table next to us. The dog was hyper and the man kept scratching it. Next a female joined him and began scratching the dog. The waiter reached down and also scratched the dog. Next time the waiter came by, the dog jumped up on her and again she scratched the dog. We asked to move inside to an empty booth. After we moved the man brought in another dog. Why were dogs allowed in the restaurant? They were NOT service dogs.“

“This is authentic Japanese food. We had a very nice lunch. We had a sushi roll, which was very fresh. We each had a bento box. The portions were excellent, and the flavors were good. It’s just a casual restaurant, with good, real Japanese food. Staff was nice. Definitely will eat here every time we’re in Chattanooga.“

“Nabe is my top pick Japanese restaurant in town. Their sushi boat is delicious and big enough to share. Bento box is great too. Great choices and prices on the lunch menu. “The best place to eat! While on the weekend they may be busy and it takes a few minutes to be seated most of the time we have no wait! The staff is so friendly. “We had seen that their reviews were low on another platform but couldn’t understand why after eating here. The stir fried rice was incredible and full of flavor, the meat was cooked perfectly and you could taste the Smokey aroma of the stir fry, probably one of the best I’ve had in a long time and we have an Asian family so we eat out at Asian restaurants all of the time. I had the crunchy crab roll and added some cream cheese it was fresh and delicious the tempura was extra crunchy and although not a lot of food on my part, I am recovering 3 weeks from a tonsillectomy and it was perfect and delicious.

The mango sticky rice texture was on point and had that excellent consistency in sweetness of the mango and sticky sweet flavor of the sauce and rice cooked to that chewy perfection.

And lastly to top it all of, the service was always ready available, communicative and on point. If you have the chance to let Will be your server, he will take great care of you and make sure everything comes out quickly and all of your needs are met. The management should give him a raise because he is a stellar example of what customer service looks like, and should be a representative for their restaurant. Very kind, respectful, professional and knows his menu.“

“We called ahead for a large group. Food was great. Servers were very rigid and uptight during the ordering process(One chef was engaged while the other wasn’t). We did look ahead at the online menu. Prices are inaccurate on their official website. Tickets being dispersed after the meal was total chaos. As we didn’t sit with our family together and getting that situated was not great. Over all for a large group celebration I would recommend eating here“
