“Possibly the best diner I have ever eaten. Service, quality, quantity, cleanliness, all great. When we visit our family in the area, we go to Uncle John’s as often as possible. It’s the little things like real butter, hot maple syrup, fresh avocado, and on and on that set this place apart from any other diner we have been to. Highly recommend!“

“Delicious! It was everything I could ever hope for in soul food! This was my first time having turkey ribs and they are out of this world! Greens and cabbage are great. I went with my buddy, We just ate and didn’t talk to each other until all the food was gone. He remarked the pulled pork was best he ever had. Can’t wait to come back!“

“Absolutely delicious! Outside patio dining had a wonderful atmosphere for our wedding anniversary meal. The waiter brought out the wrong dish for my husband, but as soon as we brought it to their attention it was quickly corrected. Just be aware that the chili flake topping is an extra $1 & they also charge for the pickles on top of the curry bowl as well, which we thought was interesting because it was never mentioned beforehand. It was a lovely dinner. (Pictured- pork belly curry bowl & pork belly dunkers apatizer)“

“I found this place by chance on a road trip to Cumberland Falls. The meat was so flavorful, I couldn't add the BBQ sauce. I wanted to savor the meat. The BBQ sauce was so good though I found myself dipping my potato wedges in it. Hash brown Casserole was amazing. It was so good, I stopped again on my way home. I know they're sharing a spot inside a gas station but ya'll I'm telling you, it was fire. Both times. Did I mention me & my adult son ate until full for around $20 bucks? I had pulled pork & he had jumbo Chicken Tenders.“

“Ordered whiting sandwich and reg fries and Coke. Large food servings. Food was hot &fresh! I think some peoples expectations are not that of traditional southern fried whiting w/onion, mustard,hot sauce? Who doesn't eat it freshly served for maximum experience? I get some have to carry home, but don't expect hot fried food to be hot and crispy when ya get there. My $.02.“

“Solid spot. I wish I could drink here more because that means I can eat a pulled pork sandwich too. Always nice to get out of nash and enjoy some unpretentious- actually-good-af-bbq. I don't even eat bbq in town anymore because it's a joke. lovell's all the damn way“
