“Portland Brew East is Nashville Native Approved. It is a great little spot to go and work for a few hours or just have a chill morning. The black coffee is very good. I always get dark and it has a perfect flavor packed punch. The staff has always been very kind to me, too. If you sit outside you will see multiple dogs walk by, as it has a very homey location between the Eastwood and Lockland Springs neighborhoods. Plenty of street parking in every direction and a paid parking lot in back, that you probably wont need to use.“

Here is how you know I'm qualified: I live in Germany for 2 years, where people are absolutely obsessed with gyros. The only thing they were missing in my mind is pickled cabbage, which I've not found here at a gyro place in the states anyways.“

“One of the few local coffee spots. Good coffee at reasonable prices. The staff and owner are friendly. My only complaint is that the baristas need more training. It always takes a long time to get my drink since there’s only ever one person working and the consistency of the drinks really vary. Sometimes they are great, but other times, like today, they are way off. That coupled with longer wait times are the reason why I am sometimes more likely to order from a chain coffee shop even though I’d prefer to shop local. To their credit, today he could tell I was unhappy with my drink, and offered to comp it without asking. So the customer service is good. I just think the baristas need a bit more training so there’s consistency no matter who is working. I’m rooting this shop!“

“I finally made it to Edit, and let me say, it turned out better than I expexted. The design of the restaurant is very cool, very loungy vibe. The music was great, a bit louder than I would have personally preferred, but it’s great for date night. I’ve had the tikka masala poutine, very tasty, and more than I anticipated. My coctail was very good, also. Can’t wait to go back and try more of their ever-changing seasonal menu.“

“This review is for persons considering this space for large special events. During the time I stayed at the Gaylord, I saw a few special events be held at this cafe.First of all, it's a gorgeous space. During the day, it's a cafe for quick eats. If an event is being held, they start blocking off areas early.Secondly, the fountain transforms into a dance floor. Talk about cool. It's also more floor space for those who want a sit down affair.As a guest, I was impressed by the space and the food served. And the waitstaff is on it.“
“Today at Sam’s a couple got a return ticket at the door (they were in front of me) and went to the customer service line to return it (I watched them.). Several people were in amazement just as I was. I’d be ashamed to take that to the dump!!!! I asked the door guy if they’d really take that back, and he shrugged his shoulders and said “we take stuff back.” Wow!!! Maybe I can wear out my car tires and take them in for a refund... then buy a new set and do it all over again... I hope Sam’s doesn’t take back crap like this and increase prices to cover it.“
