“So delicious. We’re from out of state and we’re looking for a dinner away from the center of Nashville, that wasn’t a chain. We literally saw it on Google maps right before we passed it and decided to stop. SO glad we did. I’ve been missing the good pupusas I used to get in NW Arkansas, and was so happy when I saw them on the menu. We also had a sope al pastor, chorizo tacos and a new-to-us dish called pollo con tajadas. I recommend ALL of them.“

“First time customer here. Boy howdy that steak quesadilla was delicious! Good amount of food for the price. I did not encounter a language barrier with the nice lady manning the counter. The place is very wholesome. You can tell they are proud of their heritage but they are also proud of Tennessee which is beautiful to see. If the quesadillas are any indication, the rest of the food is probably just as delicious.“

“Man just when I thought Sweeza couldn’t get any better, I tried the lunch special. Everything at this place is beyond great. Have eaten here regularly for the past year or so, and it’s just always mind-blowingly delicious. Out of town friends ask about eating at this place when they come to town rather than cooking a meal or trying something new, even the ones who are very particular. Sits well on you if you are sensitive as well. The super quesadilla is the legendary item. The salad and the tostados are my personal go-tos. The green salsa is so good it’s basically medicinal. The strawberry agua fresca is my personal favorite of the agua frescas, but seems like there’s always something new and delicious to try. If you’ve been thinking about going here, don’t sleep on it. Outstanding food with extremely reasonable prices and great business hours that make it a local go-to and something of distinct value I want to eat at over and over again.“

Do not let the modest exterior fool you; if you are seeking a meal with genuine character and culinary substance, this is the gold standard. “The block is super sketchy, but the food is top tier. Worth giving away all your spare change. Tacos are excellent, and I tried alambre for the first time... Don't know how I'd never heard of it but it's replacing birria as my go to Mexican restaurant order.“

“I first came across this place when I was working in food delivery — I used to pick up orders from here pretty often. I’ve been here myself three times now, and I really like it.
The prices are great for what you get. Burritos are around $10–15, tacos about $5, quesadillas start at $8, and beer was around $6.
The food is tasty, portions are solid, and overall it’s a good spot if you want something affordable and satisfying.
Definitely recommend.“
