“What an incredible place. Everything is made by hand or made fresh! The fried fish and shrimp is lightly battered so it’s not greasy and very palatable. The slaw is made in house as well as fresh greens are cut prepared daily. The banana pudding is out of this world.Maddie was an amazing server. I really enjoyed the overall flavor. The fries were just right - crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.“

“Outstanding meal! It was my first visit to this restaurant and it was a great experience and great food. The girl at the cash register was very polite and professional. So you order your food and they give you a number on a stand which you place on the seating of your choice. Five minutes later two young ladies brought our orders to our table and came back multiple times to check and see if we needed anything else. Five stars are definitely in order for this restaurant.“

“Another recent visit on a rainy chilly January day. Dogs and hamburgers are still classic winners. Good spice on the fries. Usual friendly quick cooked to order service. You can't go wrong taking the kids here.

We stopped by for hard serve icecream on waffle cones. The place was packed with so much recent notoriety from their famous decked out hotdogs but the desert line was seperate so we were served immediately. It's no Brusters, but the store bought quality of icecream was good and the price per cone easier on the pocket book then were it made in store. We will be repeat visitors.“

“Just to let people know... pets are not allowed inside... only at outdoor sidewalk seating. Also... everywhere we looked said to park under the expressway and walk up.... don't do that. 100s of homeless people and pretty sketchy. There is pay street parking. They need to add this info to their FB page and website. Overall place was just ok.“

“Hubs has been working in Knoxville and came across this gem Gus's Good Times Deli and said he wanted to take us for lunch…. OMG!!! Coming from someone who has major stomach issues I still decided to get the Philly and let me just tell you, not once did my stomach hurt AT ALL!! The fries was probably my absolute favorote… THE ATMOSPHERE is top notch, it feels like you are walking into someone’s home. Don’t wanna a fountain drink no problem turn around and get whatever you want out of the fridges… don’t pay til you leave, and don’t bother with a ticket he remembers every single order in and out and was literally the best Philly & burger (yes I ate some of my hubs🤣) I have had in a very long time, other the being at home! I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this place! We will most definitely be back! We traveled from walland to Knoxville just for this place and I see many many more trips in the future! Literally anything you want! The portions are top notch and the pricing is great! I’m literally reheating my hubs burger and my Philly and it still is sooooo delicious!!!“

“Usually Applebee's is a 5/5, but apparently not on Sundays. We have been going to Applebee's since I was a child. Ben, is the best bartender, hands down. When he is there, even when they are short staffed, the service, the atmosphere, and the experience is topnotch. The last few times I've been there on his day off shows me that the right person at the center is very important.“

“Fries were great, especially when dipped in ranch! We ordered two different burgers McGhee Tyson, which was huge, and the Farragut. Both burgers were very good and filling. We also got fried green tomatoes which I won't get again. Tomatoes were $10 for about 5 slices of a small tomato which didn't have much flavor and they came with a pimento cheese that definitely did not match well with the tomatoes. Would have matched better with a seasoned sauce much like a roasted honey mustard or honey BBQ. We ordered Fried Green Tomatoes before we ordered our Burgers but the tomatoes didn't come out until after the burgers came. By that time we really didn't have much use for the tomatoes anymore. Not an appetizer if it comes after the entree. We have only gone there once. Maybe it was a fluke we will visit again.“

“The gentleman that took my order at drive through was very professional and greeted me with a good morning and listened well on my order and repeated it back to me and asked if I'd like to upsize to medium or large. He spoke very clearly. At the window he took my money was very friendly and courteous. Definitely a valuable employee to have. At the pick up window I got my order quickly. The food was fresh and warm and delicious.“

“My 9yo daughter wanted Double Dogs for her birthday. While they told me they don’t take reservations, they said they would do their best to prepare for us. We showed up with 30 people. They got us seated quickly with best accommodations that they could for a large party. The waitress and the manager took great care of us. We didn’t wait long for food or anything. (I will say we picked a Sunday night to avoid some of the crowd). We’ve went plenty of places with this big crowd, but the experience this time at DD was one of the best!“
