“I have been getting the Reuben with Swiss sandwich at Jacob's for many years and have always said it was the best Reuben sandwich in Knoxville. However today was not the case. My sandwich although good did not have the Swiss cheese that makes it so gooey and excellent.(I did ask for it with the Swiss cheese!) I also ordered a small order of onion rings and a side salad. The salad in the past always has crackers included, but were not included today for some reason. Also, prices have gone up! Jacob's has always been a great place to eat and the staff very friendly. Maybe just an off day?? Hate to see prices go up and quality go down!“
“Great steamed sandwich similar to Nixon's or Sam & Andy's, friendly service and good prices. Can't see it from the road so I hadn't tried it in the 5 years since I moved to Halls. Will definitely be getting more sandwiches from this place in the future.“
“Management of a location can make all the difference! Walking into this HBH on a busy Friday before Easter, all the employees were upbeat and engaging with the guests. When it was my turn, I was greeted with a sincere smile and assisted to ensure all my needs for the holiday were met. They had plenty of sliced ham for those not needing to feed a crowd and to go items for anyone needing lunch. The east side will now be my go to location! Thank you team for the great service!!!!“
“I got a cheese burger and fries with banana nut bread. The birger was fresh hand patted not frozen pucks perfectly seasoned. It was great food, prices and service. All the food was made fresh and still came at in a good time. I will definitely be going back.“
“Wanted to try something different, came in here. Menu is pretty easy to figure out, you get to pick your cheese, bread and whether you want the sandwich hot or not as they all come served hot. Ordered the 4" Italian, hubby ordered the 6" Reuben.6" ruebenThe white bread is very soft...delicious.The Italian is amazingly great with good flavor. “This is another place that I've had bookmarked for a long time but only recently tried. I only wish I had tried it sooner! We came for an early lunch on a weekday. There was plenty of seating at the in between breakfast and lunch time. The service was fast and friendly. I had a modified Greek salad (no cheese), hummus, pita, and colonels potatoes. Everything was incredibly fresh and flavorful. The hummus was unusual and very different from local favorites like Yassin's and Holy Land. It wasn't my favorite but I still enjoyed it. Their pita bread is some of the best in town. But the potatoes are incredible! I would go back just for them.“
“This drive-in only place was recommended by a friend who knows that I love a good steak in sack. It didn't disappoint, I had both the steak and chicken in a sack. They both were piled high enough with meat and vegetables that I could only eat half. They came with copious amounts of tomatoes, lettuce,and onions, and the sauce was very good. They only thing that threw me a curve ball was the additional cheese slice. I also ordered a Steamed Turkey and Swiss on dark bread for the grandson. He said, " it's the best deli sandwich I ever had. " My only concern was that I ordered the " spicy fries," and I got regular ones instead. All in all, it was a filling meal, and we had plenty of leftovers. Cash only, no cards are permitted.“

“My girlfriend and I were looking for something for lunch, and I had wanted to try this place for awhile. She got the great gazoo, and I got the Heisenburg. Both were absolutely divine. The two gentleman working there gave great service. Very friendly, and very helpful when we had questions. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the price, but for downtown Knoxville I'm not surprised nor upset. We both left happy and were talking about how good it was the rest of the day.Very hipster atmosphere. Good music, lots to look at, very small and cozy. If it's possible to get the prices down this place would be perfect, but I'd still be willing to splurge a little for this food.“

“Man. This place is amazing. We got the Super Italian with fries and two canned drinks. Sandwich was amazing and we will be going back. We must have passed this place millions of times and never saw it. Glad my boss stopped. They have those classic fair style Gyros and the lady behind the counter recommended the Steak and cheese. We will be going back very soon to take her up on that. One thing, they do not have fountain drinks. For a combi you can choose fries or chips and either 2 cans of drink or one bottled drink. No biggie. We left 100% satisfied!“
“The wife and I came to eat tonight, and we thought it was fantastic! We sat down inside to eat. Lou's was kept clean. The food is made to order so it came out fresh. She had a Cheeseburger which she loved and it looked pretty hefty. I ate the Chicken Philly Cheese with banana peppers, green peppers, and jalapenos. It was marvelous! We both had their fresh cut fries, which in all honesty were plentiful and delicious!“
