“Oh my goodness. This was our first time to visit Flapjacks and let me tell you they did not disappoint. My wife got the strawberry and cream pancakes along with the Wonderland Eggs Breakfast and she absolutely loved it. She bragged about the food the rest of the week. I got regular pancakes and the Barn Buster Platter and I was stuffed when I left. The prices are reasonable for the amount of food that you get. We are already planning our return trip. We live 3.5 hours away and we are willing to drive that just to eat at Flapjacks. Go and eat there. You will be so Glad you did and FULL!!!“

We moved here 3 years ago from Southern California and fell in love with the Local as we live right up the street, for 2 years we had dinner there every Friday night and loved the entertainment,during football season we were there every Saturday and Sunday for lunch or dinner for Football, we stopped going for dinner on Fridays when the menu changed, but still stopped in on a Saturday or Sunday for lunch and cocktails, yesterday Saturday the first home Vols game they did not have,so no more Saturdays because we can watch it at home but really enjoyed watching it at the Local, so we watched it at home, today we went to the Local to watch the Saints game and have lunch, they we very short handed and couldn't get the Saints game, we are so disappointed in the Local Eatery that we will NEVER patronize them again, it amazes me how in 1 year a Local staple can go from being a place that local Boyd's Creek residents gathered to enjoy friends and family to a restaurant that is such a disappointment.“

We were never given the option of flour/corn tortillas and we forgot as well. After food was served we wanted ask for corn tortillas as one of us has gluten allergy. Again took way too long for someone to show up. We even signaled someone in that table folding napkins he had to call someone and after quite a while someone showed up inquiring how’s everything. When we retorted with “we need corn” tortillas he seemed quite taken aback. As if we deviated from the script - “good” with a mouthful. But eventually he brought corn tortillas. By the time we had finished there were no water refills. It felt like that table was abandoned by the assigned host and others were half heartedly chipping in because someone made us sit there. Anyways we got out.“

“This distillery was a must stop on our trip from PA during our elopement and it did not disappoint. Forget those other distilleries and support this place. Not only are their flavors better but man do they have such a friendly environment with top tier hospitality all around. If your lucky enough to be there while Lance is, I guarantee he will make your visit that much more enjoyable. Bringing a dog inside a restaurant, having it sit on the bench and feeding it your food, then having the audacity to complain to the server about the volume of meat on your order! You need not come back! You people were totally disrespectful to everyone. Yelling at the manager, not acceptable. Sad this happens with tourism.“

The gas lights around the stone wall add an upscale and romantic vibe. Good looking bar with a great selection. Drinks are very affordable. The steaks are fantastic, cooked how you want. The bang bang shrimp and brisket egg rolls are must-have apps. Their smash burgers are great too. Honestly, I haven't had anything bad here or any kind of negative experience. They accommodate large parties and have a first-come bar. We eat here every time we are in the area.“

The whole restaurant has glass windows all around. There's a river on one side. We highly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely go back.“

“This place!!!! Not only is the food AMAZING But the staff are so nice and treat you out of this world good. If you're looking for a nice place to stop and eat and no chain restaurants, stop in and try the food. The smoked bologna is my favorite but everything we had was delicious! The baked beans, green beans with potatoes in it, even down to the homemade family recipe sauces. You will not regret stopping here. Oh and get the fried pickles.. best we've had!!!“

The place has some wear and tear, which seems perfectly fine for a diner that's been around for awhile. We visited on a Saturday evening, and got seated immediately.
