“TLDR; Small for a waffle house, but there is a line of people waiting, so it must be good.
Food: Got eggs, hashbrowns, a waffle, and bacon. The waffle came out near the end of my meal, so it didn't sit and get cold. It was SO hot and delicious. The eggs and bacon were perfect. The hashbrowns were also perfect. Despite being so busy, my coffee never got empty.
Service: Our server was very polite and quick. She checked on us regularly but not so much that it was annoying.
Atmosphere: It was a clean restaurant. They had a ton of people behind the counter. Tables were either full or clean as soon as customers got up. The restrooms were clean.
I fully intend to go here very often.“

“TLDR: Good food, decent service, and a welcoming atmosphere, though a personal incident affected my ability to return.
Review for IHOP
First Impression: It’s what you’d expect from an IHOP. While the hostess booth is often unattended, the wait to be greeted is typically brief—usually a few seconds to a minute.
Food: The food consistently meets IHOP’s standard. The pancakes are always fluffy and hot, eggs with cheese are generously cheesy, and the bacon is cooked well. I’ve tried two different omelets—one custom and one off the menu—and both were delicious.
Service: The servers are polite and efficient, ensuring food arrives hot and correctly prepared. My only minor critique is that they could check on customers more frequently, but it’s not a significant issue. However, a personal incident changed my experience at this location. One of the female employees reportedly discussed me with her mother, who also worked there. The mother later shared this with me, which made future visits uncomfortable. While the service itself was good, this incident left me feeling it wasn’t the right place for me to continue dining, out of respect for my wife and to avoid any perceived impropriety.
Atmosphere: The restaurant has a comfortable, laid-back vibe. One of the managers is often visible, checking on customers and maintaining a welcoming environment. It’s a nice place to relax without feeling rushed.
Summary: This IHOP delivers on food quality, service, and atmosphere, making it a pleasant spot for casual dining. While my experience was largely positive, the personal incident made it difficult for me to continue visiting. If not for that, I’d likely have become a regular.
Wheelchair accessibility: There is ramp access and handicap parking.“

“10 out of 10 recommend.... Was in the area & looked up breakfast spots, this was the 1st one to come up; the reviews were great & food looked good, so we stopped. Did not disappoint! The customer service was awesome (& I'm VERY big on customer service-it makes or breaks you) one of the owners walked around to make sure everything was good and no one needed anything! The food was cooked when ordered but still came out fast and was very good. My meat omelet was bomb(added Spinach & onions). The pancakes were very nice and fluffy. All was cooked very well. They were out of coffee but didn't hesitate to make more & let us know when it was ready. The place is on the smaller side but seating wasn't an issue. The were busy but handled it very well and didn't seem like the wait was long for anyone. If in the area again would definitely stop in to try more options (because that fish looked so good)!“

“I had an excellent experience at the Southern breakfast kitchen. My husband and I decided to attend their grand opening. My understanding is that they opened at the top of the year, but this event served as an opportunity to introduce this new black owned business to the Bartlett community. The location is quite convenient (by Kroger on Kirby Whitten). We had ample parking selections, and we were seated once we got in. We were greeted by every server, all seemed friendly and ready to serve.
Inside, the atmosphere gives a family feel. There was a mix of couples in attendance, primarily skewing 40’s-50’s. My husband and I greatly appreciated the live jazz music, which added more upscale vibe to the overall experience. I also absolutely love that they had both a coffee bar and a standard bar. We did not try the hibachi, but that option was available as well.
It took about 30 minutes for us to receive our food and about 15 minutes for us to receive our drinks. we had the mango and orange mimosas and both were good (though I highly recommend the mango). We both got the omelettes (veggie and veggie + ham). It was an ample amount of food. I couldn’t even eat much of the hash browns because I was so full! For the price, we were both quite satisfied!
Our server was attentive and consistently checked on us. Our water classes were never empty. I appreciate this type of service.
We both agreed that we would be back, probably with family. I am hoping that this will become a staple in the Bartlett community.“

“Our waiter was spot on and took our orders in style. Plus, the restaurant has an ADA stall, that has a sink for the disabled folks, in the stall. Silly to discuss when reviewing the food and atmosphere, but this IHOP is probably the nicest one we've ever eaten in. Thank you
Parking: Super simple, not over crowded
Kid-friendliness: Waiter was super friendly
Wheelchair accessibility: See comments above“

“TLDR; Why is this bar open so early? This looks like a bar out of every movie with a bar in it. The "bar-iest" bar I've ever seen.
Food: I ordered the pawpaw's big breakfast. I had black coffee to drink. It was pretty good. I ordered scrambled eggs with cheese. Came with no cheese, and in one single piece, like an omelet. It tasted like eggs though, so that's good. The bacon was good. The hashbrown was good and plentiful. The biscuit was good. You get the option of French toast or pancakes. I opted for the French toast. I couldn't eat it. There was a slimy layer between the egg and the bread. It was very obvious when eating it unfortunately. I'm guessing the egg didn't cook thoroughly.
Service: I stood around for a brief moment checking the place out before the server let me know I could sit anywhere. The table was clean enough but had some left over straw wrappers wadded up. No biggie though. The server was pretty chatty but was ok that i wasn't. Service was good, but if you're the "shy' type, you may encounter an awkward moment or two.
Atmosphere: This place felt like a bar. I have never been during the evening but I could imagine it to be full of bikers and/or farmers playing pool. Didn't seem like there was a lot of seating, but more may be brought out during busy times. She left a shower caddy filled with condiment in it. Bit weird for me...
Summary: I'll be coming back to try more of their food and get a feel for the place during their other times. Other than the mishap with the French toast, the food was good and the staff was nice. The prices were good too.
Parking: Pretty big gravel lot on the side, plenty of parking.“
