“I have tried this place numerous times and it is always amazing! the owner (VJ) and staff are always attentive and happy to be there. today i ordered right before closing and even then the staff greeted me with a smile and handed me two hefty portioned quesoritos. this place soars over other related places like Moe's and Chipotle. could not recommend it enough!“

“My children and I were at the Oscar's in MJ this past Saturday. First of all, the food is always amazing. This post is about the service. My daughter choked on a chip and could not get it up. After she did get it up, you can imagine what all landed on the floor. Gisselle did not even give me a chance to clean up after my own kid, in fact she wouldn't allow it. She was so kind and genuinely worried about my daughter. After we got her cleaned up, she checked on her multiple times and just kept telling her how thankful she was that she was ok. Danny, who I assume is the manager continued to check on her as well. I cannot thank them enough for the kindness and understanding they showed my 6 yr old and myself. Food is so yummy, but the service can't be matched. ❤️“

“We don't go to Mt. Juliet often, but if you do, this is the Mexican restaurant you need to go to! The food was excellent (fajitas) and the margaritas were on point!

“We were unaware this restaurant had changed names from Los Compadres. We stopped by for lunch. The lunch menu was extensive and reasonably priced. Food was delicious. Portions were huge. With four drinks and lunch, we spent about $45, plus a large container of leftovers. The server was very attentive . We usually spend much more for way less at other restaurants. All in all, a great lunch. We’ll go there again. 😋“

“This place is ? As good or better than the best Mexican food spots we’ve eaten at, even in California. Would highly recommend giving them a try. The carne asada has excellent flavor. You can call and place an order for pickup and your food is done quickly. The prices are not bad considering the price of eating out anywhere has increased pretty dramatically.“

“I had the Cabo Bowl w/ carnitas. The carnitas were not great. The seasoning seemed very concentrated. It over powered the pork. It was late afternoon and I think it had been in the steam well for a while. Or it may be their signature cooking style. It was my first visit.

“Room for improvement, I see potential. Please give them a chance.We went in because we had a coupon for a free taco. We got fajita tacos. I was excited when I saw a taco place going in just down the road from me, but considering that they were in a gas station, my expectations weren't very high. The tacos themselves were okay. I was also excited to see that they served a type of Hibiscus Tea, Jamaica (pronounced Ha-Micah) but the girl taking my order didn't understand me when I told her what I wanted. It was loud and she wasn't Hispanic, so I won't fault her, however, I still didn't get my drink. Not a huge deal, since it never got put on my ticket, but still. Most everyone in the line in front of me were Spanish speaking, so I thought it might be a good idea to hire some folks that understand Spanish pronunciation. Like I said before, the tacos themselves were okay, and for 2 bucks a pop, I'm not sure you could get much better. These are not taco truck quality, but I would be willing to give them a second shot some time. The tortillas were fresh, and the food was not too salty. There weren't any salsa options available at the time, so that was disappointing. Luckily, I had some homemade habanero salsa at home that I just made the other day, so we used that. I know we are a little further north of the border than Texas, but we can do better here in Mt. Juliet, TN :)I look forward to trying again, I'm sure they'll work out the kinks once they've been open a bit longer.“

“Used MJ Salsaritas for a large catering today. Ordering catering on line was easy. Called a few days later to make a change. Staff was kind and professional. Delivery was on time. Driver was friendly and polite. Food was fresh and delicious. Portions were so large we had lots of left overs.“

The prices, like everything else in this economy, have gone from reasonable to ridiculous. For such inexpensive and very basic ingredients, the only explanation is that the employee wage increase is carrying over to the customers. This is so frustrating! Again, this is not location specific, and I understand this review is about this location.
