This was a great concept, marred by a rough start and difficulty gaining traction. It is sad that a well-meaning investment in the community which had vast support across demographics and age groups was assaulted in the public discourse by those too young and too clueless about history to allow the original name concept - The Sit-In - to be used by the owners. My husband and I found this restaurant on Yelp, so we decided to check it out since we were in the area. When we walked in, we grabbed a menu to decide what to get. Then we ordered at the counter and they brought us our food. It was very quiet, so we felt like we had the place to ourselves, although there were a few others in the cafe. The food was excellent. The vinaigrette on the salad was amazing, and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his rise and shine waffle. Very good!

Wife and I stopped in to grab some lunch. Wife got the ham and egg sandwich and I ordered the rise and shine waffle. The quality of food was absolutely top notch! Definitely recommend!
