The Other Place is a legit old school sports bar with Chicago favorites like Chicago Dogs and Italian beef. The food is usually good and great value for money, with the grilled chicken salad being excellent and the chilli cheese fries described as totally unhealthy and totally delicious. The atmosphere is loved, and the bar games are great, including a pool table, darts, and Golden Tee. Clean restrooms and an outside patio for smokers are available. However, reviews are mixed on the service. Some bartenders are very nice and on top of their work, but others lack hospitality and interest, clustering around certain customers and making others feel like a bother. The DJs are subpar for karaoke, with one getting drunk and another expecting large tips. Despite these issues, the Owner and bartenders are praised, and the place is considered a perfect quiet spot with awesome food.
