“Grill 73 is a true hidden gem. My husband, my niece and I had dinner there this afternoon. The meals were phenomenal. Oleg and Valentina (owners) were very hospitable and interesting people. “Who Knew! The best and biggest raw oysters in East Tennessee are found at this excellent Mexican restaurant located just off I 40 in Newport TN. Just a short trip from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. After traveling miles to bigger cities in search of some good oysters we found that they were located in our own back yard. The Mexican food is just as amazing! We watched the owners, Guadalupe and Pedro, going back and forth to the kitchen checking each plate that came out for perfection. Our waitress Josseline was exceptional, always with a smile on her face making sure our dinning experience was the best. We like certain additions to our oysters like horse radish, lemon and tobasco sauce which we always bring with us. Come and enjoy!! Wow the shrimp cocktail is like none other I have ever had!! Wow!!”

“This place is a true local gem! The Hawaiian burrito blew me away - the best I’ve ever had, with the perfect balance of sweet and savory, grilled to perfection, and full of flavor. The guava margarita was sweet yet really refreshing, and the cheesecake chimichanga was crispy on the outside with a rich, creamy filling. Plus, the service was top-notch. Definitely worth a visit!”

“Had the best steak Saturday night. Highly recommend The Grille. Hadn't been in a while because of work, but got it to go because I was craving a good steak. Dawn's staff did not disappoint. Fast and efficient even with the place as busy as it was. If you haven't been, you need to go, and if you haven't been in a while, you need to go back!!!”

“We’re always looking for local diners and eateries rather than the corporate chain places and this one nailed it!
It was pretty busy when we pulled up but the server (carhop?) came and took our order right away. We noticed that meals would be brought out to cars and they would leave, and a new car would almost instantly take its place, some of them having called their order in and getting it brought out to them immediately. I was certain they had to be noting the vehicle on the ticket or something so when my meal was brought out I asked, I was surprised to learn that no, they don’t write your vehicle on the ticket. They do it all by memory! Every. Single. Vehicle that came up and ordered, they just remembered which one ordered what. It’s not like guests sitting at stationary tables in a standard restaurant. The gray Camry left and now a maroon Mazda was in its place, then the Hyundai was replaced by a Prius etc etc. but each one got their order. It was pretty impressive to watch!
Finally, the bacon double cheeseburger, chicken strips, and french fries were definitely the local diner style food we had been looking for. Will certainly eat here again the next time we’re back in Newport.”

“On a whim, tonight we decided to eat Chinese. We had heard that small Chinese restaurants in non descript shopping malls were often very good. This China 1 restaurant was no exception. We entered to a very clean and brightly lit dining room. After being seated we were asked about drinks and that part of our order was quickly delivered. We ordered soups and two spring rolls before deciding upon dinner. I had Hot and Sour soup and my dining patter had the Wonton soup. Both were excellent. Mine had just the right “heat” and hers had lovely large noodles. I ordered the Szechuan shrimp & chicken dish called “Szechuan Double Style” on the menu and she ordered the sweet and sour pork.. Both came out quickly and were scrumptious. All in all I would highly recommend this China 1 restaurant and will return.”

“Took the whole family for steak dinners this evening and we loved this place!! The steaks were juicy and tender. Sides were great, freshly made salad dressings and the onion rings were crunchy and fantastic.
Our server was so on top of things that we never really had to ask for anything! We even got to meet the owner/chef and she was so personable and funny. Will definitely visit this place again the next time we’re in town!!”

“I have to start off with how clean the bathrooms were for a love's truck stop. Absolutely spotless. The 2 gals whose name tags are pictured were absolutely great. They worked the front counter at the loves. The real review is on how great the pizza was at the Godfathers pizza express, I had the meat lovers. They are located with the same building. The place was clean, and the pizza was just great. I would advise you to stop in and try it if you're in the area.”

Got 2 turkey subs medium and the girl asked did I want to make it a combo, I asked how much more for both she said $3.99 I was thinking she meant both but anyway, our food was $38 then she had no dollars said I had to take dimes ( not her fault btw) but I could eat a lot of other places way cheaper.”
